Long Version:
One of my really good friends just got engaged and she asked me to be her maid of honor.
Her Mom is throwing them an engagement party/brunch one afternoon this weekend and I am stumped as for gift ideas!
I've never been to an engagement party before, so I assume it isn't quite like a shower, but at the same time, I'm not sure what exactly will be the norm for gifts (if at all). I'm trying to think of something more to celebrate the engagement that they can use now, instead of the typical "toaster-type" shower-y present that they have to keep until the wedding.
So... something to use during planning the wedding, or something that they can use right now (like restaurant g/c's).
They don't drink... so wine's out. I was thinking of a wedding planner, but my friend has been planning in her head for years and has most things booked already, so I'm not sure she'd really need one.
So, what are your creative ideas? Any thoughts!? Thanks!
Short Version:
Looking for a great idea for an engagement present for a friend... any help would be muchly appreciated!!!
