Looking for Windsor Palms Villa

Can anyone make some personal recommendations for homes that they have stayed in in the Windsor Palms subdivision?

I'm looking for a private 4BR home with pool, spa, and security alarm.

I'm not sure about the security alarm, however this home does have alarms on the doors to the pool and spa.

We loved our stay at WP and our house. The owners were wonderful to deal with and the house was beautiful. We thought it was a great location because we weren't too far into the complex. We first saw the house on vrbo but the website for the owners directly is www.magicmouse-villas.com. We stayed in the 4-bedroom home back in 04/2003. My sister rented at WP as well. Also great owners and their direct web is www.florida-sunvillas.com. Her house was a little further in and also a little cheaper. Her pool was smaller though and I am not sure about a hot tub but I believe the owners have since converted the garage into a nice game room. VRBO lists many wonderful homes at WP. Just decide on which ammenities are most important to you and check the availability listed on their booking calendars. Both owners were in the UK but that was never a problem Very fast replies to all inquiries and both followed up with us to make sure that everything had gone well. Never got that from any hotel! We stayed in Christmas 2003, celebrating with my brother's family from California. The home worked out very well for us. We needed to add our own dish washer detergent and laundry supplies after the starter packs. We did have some trouble with the pool heater. The maintenance people were there very promptly and replaced a part with poor design with a more recent model and then everything was perfect! I have rented this house again for Christmas 2005. I like staying at Windsor Palms, but was so busy we didn't really check out any of the community options. Perhaps this year...

As in my earlier post, I recommend this home.

I can heartily recommend www.villadirect.com and specifically the Sunshine Bay Villa in Oak Island Cove, which is right across from Windsor Palms. It's a beautiful, newer home, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, beautiful pool overlooing a wetland area where you can see cranes, etc. Nintendo for the kids, themed bedrooms for them, gorgeous masters (2) for adults, garden tub in one, spa, big screen TV, and beautifully decorated without being stuffy. It has an alarm too, on both the main house, plus a pool alarm if you want to keep the little ones from the pool area.

We loved it there and have stayed there a couple times, and will again this summer for the second part of our trip.

The best part? It's priced from $130/night, depending on the season.

Villa Direct is great to work with too. They have tons of homes if the Sunshine Bay Villa isn't available.

Highly recommended!
