Hello,

We are coming in a few weeks and currently have a split stay at CCV. We are using Disney Magical Express. I am also considering OKW one bedroom. Since we won't be going to the parks and resort to resort transportation is limited or non existent, would you choose to stay at CCV (split studio / one bedroom) or OKW (one bedroom only)? We are two adults traveling alone.

Ccv
okw is just too isolated for me
you can at least easily resort hop from ccv
the only thing easy to get to from okw is Disney springs

resort hopping from ccv is not necessarily easy. I believe the boat to contemporary is not running. To get to another resort you would have to boat or bus to MK and get to another resort from there, but I believe you can only do that when MK is open.

from any resort, you could bus to dhs and from there either walk to epcot area resorts or take the skyliner to the resorts it serves. But again you have to watch for hours that bus and skyliner are running.

my understanding is that you can’t drive and park at a resort unless you have a dining resie there, so having a car wouldn’t help.

I saw on another thread that there is a “yellow line” bus between fort wilderness and wl. Not sure of that means there is also bus transportation to the contemporary from wl?
anyway, no boat transportation puts a damper on things!
is there boat service from okw to Disney springs right now?

I am not positive but I believe I read there is no boat service to DS from OKW at this time.

We have often stayed at OKW and not done many parks. The one bedroom is more homelike than the hotel setting villas. The porch outside is large with a full sized table, not just the tiny side table. You can watch the golfers as long as the course is open. You can walk to DS during daylight hours. With both a love seat and sofa and the large chair, it's easy to lounge around the one bedroom at OKW.

OKW has super nice 1BR units as mentioned. Only one restaurant and not much for quick service but not too long a ride to Disney Springs. (and can walk it during the day.) I would opt for this.
