My dad cruises these boards so I will have to be descrete.

I am in my mid-teens and my little brother is in his early teens and my parents are planning a vow renewal later on this year at WDW. They are inviting a lot friends and family. We have frequented the Disney parks in the US and abroad, I believe we are pushing 30+ visits. My brother and I would really like to do something for our parents, but we would like it to be a supprise them. I was thinking of getting a picture drawn in one of the parks of me, my brother, and my mom and dad with my brother and I being in Mickey's ears and them being in the head. I would like any suggestions, comments, or ideas one something to do for my parents.

Thank you in advance.

I dont know what kind of money you would like to spend, but a Magic Kingdom photo sossion might be nice.. I dont remember how much that runs, probably a bit pricey. Also, maybe chip in a give them a good amount of Disney Dollars so they could go to dinner one night alone! I think the Disney Dollars can be used at the restaurants, not 100% positive, but you can check with the Disney Store. Maybe even set up a reservation at one of their favorite restaurants and take care of the bill. I really dont have much else, but I know you are really trying to get responses, and this is all I could come up with... Sorry I cant be more help!

I think having the picture done is a great idea. You could also look into getting something personalized for them at DTD. You could get their names and wedding date or vow renewal date on whatever you choose.

Also, at dinner you could arrange a special dessert for them...depending on where you go you could do something fun to sort of point them out of the crowd @ dinner.

Are all of you staying in the same room? If not you could arrange to have champange and strawberries or something delivered to their room on arrival.

Hope some of those ideas helped! Good luck!

Get them the bride and groom Mickey ears to wear around!

Or get shirts made for the entire family commemorating the event (Like, the Jones' renewal ceremony 2005 on the front, each persons name on the back) and everyone can wear them one day while there

Or get a special family photo frame with the date on it, get a photo of everyone together taken in Disney, and present it to them at the end of the trip.

Also gift baskets for their room (with fruit, sweets, etc.) might be a nice gift as well.

I am sure they will have a great time. Hope these suggestions help...

Thanks for all the suggestions. My parents are planning just about everything to do, even including some of the suggestions you guys made. I'm definatly trying to think of something very out of the box. I still have a long time to think about it so I'll take all the suggestions and try to decide on somthing. I'm still open to more suggestions. Thank you all very very much.

after reading the post, i'm presumming you dont have a credit card so online ordering would be out of the question, but you can get a money order for some items like if you ordered the personalized shirts $19.99/adult $16.99/childrens through the disney catalog. they have an assortment of art codes to pick from like #16 the happy couple mickey & minnie in wedding attire or # wdw vacation. or pay in cash for items you could purchase for them at wdw. dtd's art of disney store has wedding themed items like plates, picture frames, snowglobes. the disneys day of christams store has wedding items for personalization like mickey/minnie ears, ornaments & throws. ranging from $10-$60.

* you could also make a scrapbook of pictures you take on this trip & their vow renewal & make a scrapbook for them with pictures, quotes from the trip & wdw stickers, coasters, etc. & gift later. only cost would be film, book & materials. they even have disney wedding themed paper & stickers at the art of disney store. *

or babysit your little brother so they could have a night alone. that would be thoughtful. it's very sweet you want to do something for your parents, have a good time at wdw and best of luck!
