DH and I are staying at the Poly and as a surprise I'm going to order room service. We've never done room service, I could care less about it but DH wants to do it. So here are my questions.

1. Can you order the night before and have them deliver it at a specific time the next morning?

2. Is it hot when you get it, or just warm? I really hate cold food, DH doesn't seem to mind too much. He's a guy, most aren't too picky when it comes to food.

3. Do they leave the cart and you call them to pick it up when you're done or do you just leave it out side your room?

Like I said we've never done the whole room service thing and I'm totally ignorant on the subject. I think it will be a nice romantic surprise for my DH one morning. Thanks guys for any info.

I did room service at the Contemp. The food came from the Wave and as soon as it was cooked, it was brought to my room..but that was dinner and I ordered the same day to be delivered as soon as it was ready.

Im sure if you order ahead of time, it will still be hot..dont think they would make your breakfast the night before :rotfl:.

I've done room service breakfast at BC, YC and AKL so I assume it works the same way. There is a breakfast room service card that you fill out and put on the outside of your door by a certain time at night, you indicate what you want and what time you want it delivered. Ours has always been prompt and very warm (my French toast was warm enough to melt the butter I put on it). The room service personnel bring it in and set it up for you. When you are done you can leave it outside of your room and it might get picked up that day, lol (the trays do sit outside for a long time). I always call room service when I'm done to notify them I'm setting it outside.

Awesome, thanks guys. I didn't know that there was a card to fill out that will help out alot, I want it to be a surprise. My DH is a creature of habit. 90% of the time we go to breakfast it's the same so I should be okay ordering for him.
