Looking for some historical information on park reservation availability

My plan is to visit the parks on December the 30th and 31st. I have some very old tickets that I plan to use. I am not able to make a reservation because I don't live near the park to exchange the tickets. Historically have park reservations remain available for those days? I won't arrive until December 29th. I don't have a preference in terms of which park I visit first. I've already called and chatted with Disney and they told me that there's nothing that they can do

An article published last year on 12-28 mentions at reservations for both DLP and DCA were sold out. Of course, Disney may have released more reservations in the following days, but one would need to be aggressive to secure them.

We obviously can’t predict the future but my suggestion would be to reschedule your trip if you’re not willing to make alternate arrangements (new ticket).

If it was some random off-season days I might take the risk to go without reservations, but near a Holiday when nearly everyone is off work and out of school there is no way I'd take a chance on getting blocked out.

With that in mind, here is what I would probably do. Buy new Disneyland tickets from UnderCover Tourist and use those to make your reservations. Then when you are in person you can swap/upgrade your old tickets and use those with your reservations you have in place. After the trip you can decide if you want to keep the Undercover tickets for another trip down the road OR if you really need the money instead, you can get a 95% refund if they have not been used which is an exclusive offer from that seller. You would be out a small fee, but that seems a small price to insure the trip isn't ruined. And hopefully you'll enjoy the visit enough you will just keep those tickets and go again!

Good plan but isn’t the reservation tied to a specific ticket? This past summer I had a 4d “70th” ticket and the 3d Costco ticket. When it was clear we didn’t need LL, I tried to use the 4d ticket with the reservation made for Costco but it said “no reservation found.”

I love this idea thanks
