Hello!! I am a HUGE lover of Disney World cupcakes and this time we will be staying offsite at the B Resort and Spa. I must tell you that I tried Sprinkles once in Las Vegas and was quite disappointed. I found the cake to be very dry dry and didn't care for the icing. Should I give it another try? We will be going to MK/Epcot/Hollywood Studios this trip. We have stayed at the Contemporary for quite a few small trips and I had gotten used to grabbing a cupcake from Contempo Cafe upon arrival. lol I am going to miss that but just not possible to stay there again and I am ok with that. Haven't really gotten to explore the new Disney Springs that much so I am excited!

I saw something about a Smores cupcake being available at Roaring Forks. Given that Smores stuff to me is LIFE, lol, do they have these cupcakes there on a regular basis? Thinking of making a special trip there just for that.

I am aware that cupcakes rotate given the season but given we are visiting MK/Epcot/Hollywood Studios what are some other can't miss cupcakes that may only be featured in those areas? I heard the Butter Finger cupcake is back but not the same as before?

Thank you all!

Check out the Disney Food Blog's youtube video of cupcake crawl or something similar. Some awesome picks! Surprisingly the value resorts have had really good cupcakes lately. And yes the butterfinger is back but is smaller and slightly more peanut buttery.

I'm going to 2nd the value resorts, with Music being even better than some of the others. They have a dessert cabinet with MANY options.

At DS, I opted for Erin McKenna's bakery over Sprinkles & Amorettes. Of course, buying some items to take back to the room for treats or breakfast.

I love the cupcakes at Sunshine Seasons. There is a PB&J one there that was IMMENSE. I'm looking forward to it specifically! :)

This was extremely helpful thank you as I found many Disney Cupcake videos!

Don't make a special trip to Wilderness Lodge for cupcakes. I was there last year and they did not consistently have any 1 cupcake every day.

Boardwalk area: always check the big gift shop on the Boardwalk as well as Boardwalk Bakery. The selection usually is different.

Epcot: Sunshine Seasons in Future World, at the bakery, has had cupcakes lately but never has any that appeal to me. Fountain View (Starbucks) in Future World probably has a few. Electric Umbrella in Future World might have one. Karamell-Kuche in Germany usually has about 2 different types. Sometimes Kringla Bakeri in Norway.

Hollywood Studios: Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) is the one which has the new version of the Butterfinger Cupcake. Last time I was there, the cupcakes were pre-packaged for take-out. None of the other places I will mention at Hollywood Studios has cupcakes packaged for takeout. The outside quick service restaurants near Rosie's All American Cafe might each have a different cupcake; check the signs. Backlot Express usually has cupcakes.

MK: The Confectionery on Main Street USA always has cupcakes. Main Street Bakery (Starbucks) might have cupcakes but expect a long wait; it always seems to be slower than the Starbucks mentioned above. Big Top Souvenirs in the new Fantasyland has cupcakes. Be Our Guest has cupcakes but you need a reservation.

Epcot - Germany. Chocolate cupcake. (Ok chocolate is my downfall) Had it cut into 4 pieces, so we could share. Well before my adult daughter made it to France, I finished it. We still laugh about it!!!

This reminds me of a flight I took with a connection in Chicago. I stopped to buy a bag of Garrett's popcorn in the airport. I lovingly hand carry that bag for about 2 hours & never touched it until I got to my car, parked at my home airport. The bag tipped in the backseat of my car & I quickly scooped it up & popped it in my mouth. Over the next 20 minutes, half the bag disappeared while I drove home. Sorry kids.

Definitely don't blame you for this! Yum!

Would I maybe be able to call Wilderness Lodge or not?

Ooooh, I love Disney cupcakes. Like others, I'm not a huge fan of the ones from Sprinkles but had some fab ones from the Boardwalk Bakery.

Best I've ever had was a seasonal (Christmas) one from the Backlot Express in HS. It was gingerbread and delicious. I haven't found it again since though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I'll strike it lucky this year.

You can call Wilderness Lodge. A number that is listed is 407-824-3200. Hope this helps.
