Looking for small treats

Can anyone share their favorite small treats at Disney? I am specifically looking for something to give my 2-year-old a treat. He doesn't eat much sugar and he actually got a bad tummy ache from overindulging in cake and cookies on his birthday, so I'm trying to find something that, although a treat, is not absolutely dripping with sugar. No cotton candy, lollipops, no sugar-coated marshmallows, etc. I keep looking for small cookies or something with no success. All the cookies I've found are the size of your head. Cake pops are rolled in so much sugar. Rice Crispy treats are huge and also covered in frosting. I wanted to buy him a ladybug macaron from Jolly Holiday yesterday because it was the smallest thing I could find, but when I went up to order the CM told me you can't buy them individually, just three for $10, which I did end up doing and just gave him one (this is the type of treat I'm talking about in terms of size), but I wasn't looking to spend $10 on a treat for him, oh well. (As an aside, I eventually ate the other two and they were fantastic.)

I'd love any recommendations for a small treat that isn't utterly coated in sugar or chocolate chips or whatever. Like a plain small cookie or a cake pop or rice crispy treat that isn't rolled in sugar.

How about a Dole Whip? Definitely sweet but not too sweet, and deliciously light and fruity. You can also definitely get a plain rice krispy treat.

Don't give him the whole portion if it's too large. You may have to go off property or to the hotel gift shops for less sugar. Honestly, all the 2 year olds I've known were oblivious to having a daily treat in the parks, which is probably why Disney's not selling anything in smaller sizes.

That would be awesome, except he doesn't really like ice cream. I got a Dole Whip a few months ago and offered to to him but he didn't want any.

The issue comes up when we are at the park with an older cousin or friend who is getting a treat. My boy then wants a treat too. I'd rather give him something small than deal with the tears that will come if I say he can't have anything while his older cousin is chowing down on a Mickey ice cream bar.

If you're not there right now looking for a treat, then next time bring a treat from home. It's cheaper and you get to control the sugar content.

What about a chocolate covered strawberry? I know it's still dipped in a type of sugar, but not nearly as much as most of the other disney treats.

Nothing dipped in sugar, hmm. How about one of those enormous dill pickles? Most of the fruit stands have them in the park I think..

I also don't think there are very many small treats available within the parks. Most things, whether they are sweet or savory are on the relatively large size. Would it be possible to get him the cookie (or whichever treat he likes/wants), but break it in half or fourths before giving it to him? If you bring a few ziploc bags with you, you can store the left over until he can have the rest.

Other non-sugary-sweet treat ideas that come to mind include Mickey pretzel, fresh fruit, and popcorn (regular and a variety of flavors at the Cozy Cones).

Breaking a big treat in small pieces and bringing a ziploc is a fantastic idea, thank you!

My friend used to buy small snack packs at Marcelline's and some of the food stands in the Parks (the larger ones that have things like pineapple spears and dried apples). The packs had small cheese crackers, pretzels and gummi bears, I think, in three separate little bags. I don't know if the treats were Disney-themed but the bags were. They were available a couple of years ago - maybe someone there now would know if they are still available.

I would just buy something and share it with him. We have been to Disney numerous times and my 4 kids have never had a full churro (popcorn, pretzel, mint julep, etc) to themselves. We usually buy 2 and share it between all 6 of us. I also like the idea of bringing a Ziploc bag to store the rest in for later!

Go into Trolley Treats or the Candy Shop. They have plain rice krispy treats there (I saw them today). They also sell bagged and boxed treats, cookies, candies, etc. Try the chocolate covered pretzels, or the shortbread or choc chip cookies. They are small, but character shaped. Give your child 1 or 2, and save the rest for later.

I think the raspberry rose Maccaroon would be good. It's big but he could have the ears and the raspberries make it tart. My nephew loves berries (he turns two in 2 weeks) and would love trying to eat Mickey.
