Looking for reasonable car rental prices for Aug 12 - 22nd. Any ideas?

$50 a day is not sounding horrible.
Do you need it the whole time, or can you bunch your side trips together?
Can you get a smaller car for $40 a day?

Do you have an Entertainment Book, so you can use a coupon? I have had good luck going through Entertainment site, compared to the offical car rental site.

Wait til a week before you go to book. Use priceline. Patience wins usually, but always be checking for deals.

You could rent a midsize from Alamo for $375 with taxes, using ID/corp code 428488 and coupon code AD8192SDD ($30 off). Still no great bargain at $37 a day.


Your best bet is to wait, like Mdinme said, until right before the trip and use Hotwire or Priceline. Through the month of June, Hotwire has cars for $10 to $14 a day. I'm hoping it's like that for July too, when I'm going!

I just used Priceline for my 2nd time and was happy with it. First time I got a compact car for $10 a day (Alamo) and this time I got a mid-size car for $13 a day (hertz).

We like to use hertz. We tried thrifty once but they charged use with so many extra things. Insurance way craxt price anf obly one driver was allowed.another driver = more $.Hertz has always been good to us. They pick you up at Mco and shuttle you over to butler national drive.
