Hello!

Please forgive me in advance for asking such basic questions, I don't know much about DW. I only know a little about MK, because we spent 2 days there in 2014.

My children are now 7 and 10. We are going to spend 2 days in DW this December (I know it will be a BUSY time there). If you have any ideas about the below, I'd really appreciate it!

1) Is Undercover tourist still a good place to get discounted tickets? Can I get just 1 night in an onsite hotel but 2 park days through that site? I tried to price check it with just one night and I couldn't seem to make it work (but I can try again).

2) We can go any 2 days within December 22-January 1. I have looked at the crowd calendars online and it seems like all our possible dates are, uh, bad. Any advice on which days to choose?

3) We would like to go to just one park each day (so no Parkhopper). One day at MK and another day elsewhere. I know this is a hard question to answer without knowing the kids in question, but in general, would Epcot be a good choice for the second day?

4) If you have any advice as to which value hotel we should choose, I'm all ears. We don't care about amenities at all, only convenience/travel time to the parks. There are 2 adults and 2 kids so it looks like we can just book one room.

Thanks for reading, and for any ideas!

Undercover Tourist is a great place but also check with work to see if they have access to discounted tickets and see what is cheaper. You can do whatever you want for park tickets through the site and has nothing to do with your hotel.

Its going to be busy all those dates but likely the busiest will be the 24th, 25th, 31st, and 1st. That being said its also the holidays those days so it might be worth going then for the experience.

No Parkhopper is good choice but as far as parks I think it would be MK and then a choice of MK Day 2, Epcot, or Animal Kingdom. I personally would choose Epcot but leave myself open to a second day at MK.

If you don't care about amenities I would 100% just choose the lowest price. Have you checked out the Disney Springs hotels though? Many get the extra magic hours (morning/night hours) and get 60 day FP+ reservations. They likely will be cheaper but have the single downside of transportation (you can likely uber/lyft though).

Word of warning Epcot has lots of construction and you might be best to wait until your next visit in 4+ years again to visit.

Thanks for your helpful reply, Seth! No, I didn't know that Epcot was under construction, I'll look into that.
