Thinking about going here next summer and I'm looking for pictures of the resort and rooms. Also, if anyone can tell me what's here to see and do, I would appreciate it. Thanks! :D

Hi-
Can you tell me about the dolphin cruise? was it thru the resort or another company? If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost per adult and child, and how long was it? Did you see lots of dolphins? Hard to believe we'll be there 10 days from now!!

Sure - it was wonderful. One of favorite things during our trip last month. We booked the trip through the Disney resort, just call down to recreation or stop by their window. There are 4 of us - 2 adults, DS - 6 yrs and DD who was 2 then. The cost is "$30 per person. Children two and under are free with a 3 person paid minimum." So it was $90 for our family plus I tipped $15 as we really enjoyed the trip. Our captain's name was Mike, very pleasant and professional guy. Good with my young kids, patient with them, easy going. He scooped up a blue crab we saw swimming by and put it out on front of the boat for the kids to see (later to be returned to the water). Trip was 1 hr and 45 minutes long and the boat is small, a 6 guest maximum so it made it very personal. Our group was the only one on our tour. We saw some much larger boats out doing the tour and thought our cruise was so much better. We saw several dolphins, Mike is really good at spotting them and then cruising you in closer. We had a few come up right next to the boat. Got some good pictures, I"ll have to get them added when I can get time. Also boat has a nice canopy so you don't have to sit in the sun if you don't want to. I highly recommend this activity!

ONE BIG TIP - SIGN UP FOR THE THINGS YOU REALLY WANT TO DO EARLY!!! We didn't plan ahead and DS wasn't able to do some crafts - already full, and we missed out on Kids Night Out - what a bummer. Learned my lesson. Some things have a fee and some don't, some have a 24 hr cancellation policy (like the dolphin cruise and kayaking) so pay attention to that.

Have a great time! HH is awesome!

Just stressing what was already said about signing up early! We just got back from HH on Sunday and had wanted to do the dolphin excursion sometime during our 4 day stay. We arrived on Tuesday, and when I called to sign up, the only thing available was Friday evening at 7:00, which was the 4th of July. We passed on that because we wanted to be a part of the 4th of July fun around the resort. If the dolphin excursion is somethine you want to do, sign up right away!

Do you think there is any way to get the activity schedule in advance of our trip and sign up over the phone? Has anyone done this?

Yes, I did have the resort fax me a schedule but as I was a novice to HH I didn't think to go ahead and sign up. Not sure about doing it over the phone before checking in - but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I wanted to see what kinds of things they were offering since we hadn't been before. I still have my activity sheets from our trip. It seems that the cm's told me the new sheets come out on the prior Thrusday? And the dates on the ones I have go from Sunday thru Sat.

Anyway, I called the resort, got the front desk and they were kind enough to fax their current sheet over to me as an example. If you want to do the dolphin cruise I'd certainly ask about going ahead and signing up for it.

Good luck with it.
