Thought of you and your party - it was one of the most beautiful weather days we've had here in NJ for a while!!!! Hope the kids had a blast.

I'll be looking for the Fed Ex guy tomorrow. Still no documents... waiting patiently.........

You are so correct Linda, what beautiful weather we've had the last 2 days here in NJ!! I've told my boys a thousand times - one of the has to be a weather person - it's the kind of job you don't have to be right all the time - as long as you don't predict snow in July! Only God knows what will be - the rest of us just pray & guess!

Thanks again for all of your kind thoughts - both parties (the kids in the AM, and the family, in the PM) went well! Everyone seemed to have a good time. I had Outragehisss... Pets come to show the 8 yr olds 8 exotic animals. They were very lucky to help "Jake the Snake" a Burmese Python shed his skin. It was real cool, and they all enjoyed it.

Did you all see that it looks like this week's Magic's has a new itinerary? 2 days at Castaway Cay, 1 at St Thomas, and 1 in Puerto Rico -- Sounds almost like a mystery cruise to me! Hey - I don't care where we go - as long as the seas are as calm as possible, and we are as far from stormy weather as possible. I was in Puerto Rico 2 years ago on business, and wouldn't mind a repeat visit with my family.

IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT FEDEX TRUCKS HAVE BEEN HI-JACKED IN THE STATES OF NEW JERSEY AND PENNYSYLVANIA. THE FBI HAVE BEEN LOOKING INTO THE DIS APPEARANCES. THE TRUCKS HAVE BEEN FOUND SEVERAL HOURS LATER WITH ALL ITEMS INTACT.

I'm waiting patiently for our documents. Besides, we booked our air thru DCL, so I think they will be coming later than those who didn't book thru DCL. My brother-in-law and his family are doing the Oct. 19th Eastern cruise and they just got their documents last week! Ugh!! They got their air thru DCL too. So, I'm not holding my breath (I would definitely pass out).

Shecara Glad the parties went well. The snake sounds right up my daughters alley.She would've loved it.IT really was gorgeous out .We were in Great Adventure today and it was packed.UGH

Oh and tell your DH not to worry We won't check out his underwear.
BTW the gift thing is a group gift for having 8 or more people booked with DU. We have 6 on our cruise.Not related in anyway just all booked through DU.So we were looking for 2 more who may not be with a TA and were interesting in getting a gift to switch to DU. Does that make sense? Oh well.Maybe next cruise.LOL

Who did you book through? I booked through Costco last year and DCL printed the docs going to costco at a WAY later date. After everyone else had even received them. Then they mailed them to Costco and I had to wait to get them from Costco. We were leaving town several days early so I was calling and groveling with costco to get them before we left town. We got them about 10 days before we left. And we didn't book our air with them. Travel agencies that book numerous bookings like DU and COSTCO often have their docs printed in Groups.

We booked directly thru DCL, so there isn't any middle man that will get them first. As soon as DCL mails the documents, we will get them. So, I'm patiently waiting.

I was counting down the days until our cruise on a calendar today at work (I was working real hard, LOL). I've been watching the countdown since we had over 100 days, but it really hit me today that it is soon here. I guess since it's under 40 days, it seems alot closer. YEAH!!!!

Can we start packing yet?

You can start Packing!!!! Yippee! My DH needs about 1/2 and hour to pack and I take 1/2 a month! I booked a cruise for my neighbors and the night before they left, I was answering some questions for her on the phone.........They had not even started packing yet.....!!!! They are a family of 4. I was going crazy just thinking about it.

Well it sounds like you are being patient. Something I am not. We have been busy shopping, shopping, shopping.

Again, we have never been on a cruise before. Our TA called a few days ago and told us our doc's were in. We haven't had a chance to pick them up yet. What is in those doc's that everyone is so excited about? Is there a reason we should pick those up ASAP? I doubt we will be able to get them before next Monday so now my curiosity is at a high! What is in those Doc's???!!!???

Not much is in the docs Just your stateroom number if you didn't already know it.Immigration forms luggage tags,charge forms and rules of contract.Nothing exciting BUT it just means the cruise is getting closer.
We leave exactly one month from today yeah.

CHITWNFAM.... hasn't been on a cruise before......so you've got to tell her all of the gory details......

There is a lot of good info in the docs...most of the type of things you find on the boards, Where are the laundry rooms? Can you bring your dog? The age limits for Palo's? The cost of Palo's?. Details on the documentation you need. Onboard phone numbers. Dining info. etc...etc....etc... You'll want to read EVERYTHING cover to cover. The sooner you get it and read it the better. Better to get an answer now, than be surprised when you board. You may be surprised to know that Disney Doesn't ALLOW Coolers on board, yet I often see that people bring them. All the little details......

There are documents to be filled out, how you plan on taking care of room charges, Immigration forms for the Bahamas, Emergency information for all passengers. Getting your docs makes us realize how close we are getting........

Hi Everyone!!!

I haven't been around since the beginning of this thread! WOW!!! We've grown! Very cool! We've been battling with crashing computers etc..., so here we are, about a month from our trip and I have so much to catch up on! I quickly scanned through all the posts and it looks like we have a pretty lively crew! We'll be sporting our lime green ribbons, so hopefully we'll bump into some fellow DISers. I didn't see if we have an official sail away meet set up...maybe someone can fill me in Oh, and we got Docs on Sat. 9/29 YAY!!!
