Just to try and keep track of info, would everyone mind sharing the Total Number of Vacation Homes that are used to compile your Dues? For OKW, it's 531 Homes. For Vero, it's 175 Homes (or 266 Homes for those smart enough to buy pre-1996).

So, how about the rest of the resorts? Thanks in advance.

BCV was 130 for 2003 budget, but 208 for 2002 budget?

Interestingly, if you look at the multi-state POS dated 8/2002 on pages 27-28 (book, not document pages) there is a breakdown of the number of homes filed and then a detail of each type. But the detail only sums to the total filed for HH, BWV and VWL. OKW is 531 filed and 527 detailed; VB 175 filed and 171 detailed; and BCV is 208 filed and 142 detailed and 130 for 2003 budget.

I don't have a more recent POS, nor the detail for SSR.

Any ideas why the inconsistencies?

For BWV, it was 383 Vacation Homes.

Last year it was 367. I assume the increase was due to the units added in the space occupied by the Sales Center.

The difference for BCV of 208 vs. 130 reflects the sell-out of the resort. In the beginning, DVC picks up the costs for the units that have not yet been sold. Same with BWV, the increase is probably a combination of total sell-out and the addition of units (if it goes up again next year, you'll know the units were added in yet).

Spreading out the costs over a greater number of members probably helped to keep the BWV increase down a bit for this year since they didn't actually "build" anything, just remodeled. The increased costs for the units will probably not be that great. For example, if Housekeeping was $10,000 and next year it will be $10,250 the actual per point costs are $27.25 per Home in 2003 and $26.76 per Home in 2004. The dues would go down even though the budget actually increased.

Anyone have the actual final BWV budget number for 2003 vs. 2004?

Jim -- I'm not sure what the "detailed" vs. "filed" numbers means. But, I'd love to find out.

PamOKW,

The "filed" according to the POS means what is registered with the state of Florida. The "detailed" are the actual numbers DVD states along with the description for each type of unit. For example:

OKW -- 531 vacation homes registered for sale with the Florida Division of Land Sales, Condominiums and Mobile Homes.

Then under description of the vacation home types for OKW:

Grand villa vacation homes: 27
2 Bedroom vacation homes: 274
2 D/r lock-off vacation homes: 226
1 bedroom vacation homes: N/A
Studio vacation homes: N/A
Suite vacation homes: N/A (only in VB)

Now maybe I am just missing something obvious, but that detail adds up to 527. And I have checked and rechecked that I did not copy it wrong. So where did the other 4 vacation homes go?

If anyone can educate me on this I would be most grateful.
