Looking for Mafia Wars players on Facebook.

I got a strange friend request today - has this happened to anyone else?

There was a FB friend request and I didn't recognize the name. No note "so and so from the dis - or friend of xyz" or anything. I looked at their friend list, still nothing is clicking. I send the person a note

"I don't recognize your name. do I know you from somewhere?" and get back a note.

It's some guy that I fought on Mafia Wars and lost to big time. Probably as a "help a friend" knowing I would lose but still get the cash bonus. Some random stranger offered to be in my mafia. This weirds me out a bit.

I set up a Facebook account just for mafia wars and I get tons of people I dont know requesting friends. I also had one like yours where it was someone I had fought.

I am now up to 401 mafia and 101 level. I need just 100 more.

I also have a Facebook account just for Mafia Wars. You can do a search for "Jacey Marie" - same picture as my avatar here or jaceymariedog@yahoo.com to send me a friend request. I'm a Level 491 and can't wait to start Russia!

And My2Cinderellas, some of my favorite mafia members are people who I fought at one time or another. It's a great way to get some high-level players who really know the game in your mafia.

I have a seperate facebook just for mafia wars. I acutally have 2 mafia wars games going- I am friends with myself LOL. I started playing and got up to the levels 300+ but I only have 200 friends that play (70 are paid hitmen) and I don't want to add strangers to my personal page so I created another page and joined a site to share players. This account has 579 friends so far and still adding! You can have more than 501 players but you can only bring 501 into battle with you.

Happens a lot... That person just wants a bigger mafia and doesn't care who is in his, as long as it is another warm body.

I play mafia wars too, fearless almost 500 level. Almost got all the best defensive loot and put more than 2000 skill points on defense. I am usually stone wall if attacked but there are some players that still beat me
