I am considing adding Liberty Tree Tavern to my list of priority seatings for December. We have never eaten here before.

Therefore, I am counting on all you disers to give me your honest reviews.

Thanks!

By the way.....this will be a dinner priority seating. I believe this is served family style?

The dinner is very nice...just like a little thanksgiving meal, however...I know you want dinner, but, the lunch menu is outstanding!

The Pilgrim feast at dinner is very good. For lunch the pilgrim salad is my favorite.

The marinated flank steak is great and the pot roast they serve at lunch is awesome. The sides were great too. Our family would easily recommend LTT!

We had a very festive Christmas Dinner there for 1998 and it was perfect. Turkey dinner and fun characters.

We've eaten there twice and think the food is just okay....the salad & bread is yummy. The characters & service were great both times. To me, the food tastes too TV dinnerish, processed you know. The turkey is some sort of pressed turkey, the ham was dry pressed ham & the flank steak looked/tasted like right out of a TV dinner...as did the mac/cheese. But, maybe I'm just used to real baked ham/turkey, made from scratch mac/cheese, etc. However, it's eatable and may be worth it to you for a character meal although the same characters are found at lots of other character meals too. Just my 2 cents.

I had the pot roast for lunch, can't remember what everyone else had. We all liked our meals. I would love to eat there again!

Libery Tree gets mixed review on this site. As for me and my family we always eat dinner there our first night of vacation. After a long day of airline peanuts and pretzels we are always ready for some vegetables! Anyway, the salad and rolls are always good. The flank steak and turkey and dressing are fine. (I don't enjoy ham so I can't say anything about that) My kids like carrots and mashed potatoes/gravy so they are always the first empty bowls. The desserts are over sized and good. We usually share. I'm always thankful that I dont have to cook and clean up! I'm pretty easy to please. Now, the bathroom situation at LT needs to be addressed. They need another one. (or two)

They DID change the characters a couple weeks ago to harder to find ones-Donald and Daisy, Meeko, Pluto? and Minnie. That is a good change IMHO:D !

Does anyone know if the mashed potatoes are real or do they come from a box (powdered)???

By the way.........thanks for the all the reviews. As another poster stated.....this restaurant definately gets mixed reviews.

That's why I finally made a PS for the LTT for my next trip! The reviews were confusing me about my decision. That's when I realized reviews should only be used as a guideline, not a reason to skip out on a restaurant completely! While one person may have tried LTT and won't be returning, I may end up thinking the restaurant is great! So it's worth trying in my eyes for that reason.

We didn't hate it, but we won't return for dinner. I hear many good things about the lunch, but dinner was not worth the money. My family is very much a "made from scratch" group so when the previously frozen mac & cheese and the taste like the box potatoes and dressing came out we were disappointed. The meats were good, but he sides were bland at best.

While I love the atmosphere and think the character inter-action is fairly good. I find the food has slipped over the years. This used to be one of my favorites for dinner. On our last trip I was disppointed with the food, will not return for dinner.

Don't get me wrong the food is OK. When it cost me a $100.00 for an evening dinner I expect a better quality of food. I realize I'm paying for character inter-action, and think the food is OK just not what it used to be.

Has anyone noticed that this website lists a menu for dinner? Does that mean you could order off the menu instead of the family style meal? I was wondering in particular about the kid's menu?
Thanks for any help!

Had Thanksgiving dinner there. Nice atmosphere, long wait even though we had priority seating. Nice characters inter-action with the children. Food was OK, nothing special. Glad we ate there, but would try another place next time.

We had dinner there last week and LOVED it! We thought the food was good and the character interaction was the best! This will be a character dinner we will always do! There was Minnie, Pluto, Daisy, Donald Duck and Meek! I don't know how many times they came by. Everytime they walked by, they'd brush the kids head or fling their hats (they were not on their heads LOL) or do something. My husband and I were wearing our 20th anniversary ears and Meek took his hat and put it on his head then got down and "proposed" to me. We also had a very long "conversation" with Daisy about Donald not giving her a ring yet.
Definatly go there!!! It was great!

BTW, we did both lunch and dinner there and loved both.
I also have a copy of the dinner menu I will scan and post. Where's the best place to upload to?
Thanks!

Hi phorsenuf
SO did you order off a menu or eat a family style dinner? If it's the latter do you know if you can order off a menu?
Thanks for the info!
