My 7 year old is CRAZY about Star Wars Lego Sets and I'm struggling to find inexpensive ones so I've entitled this tread "less expensive." I'm looking for somewhere in the neighborhood of 300-500 pieces. I've found Darth Vader's ship for around $25 along with a couple of other sets near this price range. I want to stay away from $50 is possible. Any suggestions are appreciated.

TOYSRUS is having a 25% off all Star wars sets this week:goodvibes

I'm probably ordering online and it doesn't look like they're offering that discount online, but maybe I just couldn't find it.

Believe it or not Borders will be the best deal. Many stores will have certain sets on sale between now Christmas, so keep you eye open, but even then the discount is not that great.

You can join Borders rewards for free if you are not already a member. They email coupons ranging from 30-40% on any one item that you can take to the store and use on lego sets. They don't have a ton of selection, but you will be able to find something he will like. Here is link to one coupon but that expires tomorrow. They will have another one come out then.

I did great last year on lego savings by going to borders with the coupon. They raised the prices on their legos a bit this year, but it still the best deal I have found.

Try Amazon.com, and if you spend $25, they will ship it for free (look for the super saver shipping). Or Shop.com for comparison shopping.

We have countless Lego sets in our basement, and I can tell you, it will be hard to find a set with 300 pieces under $25. But, if you get him a few different sets, I don't think he will be complainin' :thumbsup2

Did you also try Lego.com? They have watches, key chains, t shirts and other Star Wars related stuff.

Happy shopping.

Amazon is a great place to start. You can add the items to your shopping cart under "save for later" and just watch the price that way. I have done that many times. I just looked on there yesterday as a matter of fact and a few of the sets were on sale.

Also Sam's club has a few sets just for the holiday season. We have the latest Lego catalog so I compared prices. 3 different sets were offered; 1 was star wars. All three sets were $49 in the catalog and $39 at Sam's club. That is a big savings to me.

Be sure to watch the Black Friday ads for specials too. I love BF, but I don't ever go to a store. I do my shopping online and have gotten some great deals.
