Hi there,

This is my first post on here and as such hope people dont mind, I am looking for help. My husband and me are looking/wanting to go to florida in april (2008) for 3 weeks to stay in disney. Last time we went we went what turned out to be nearly all inclusive for two weeks. We are looking into who is offering the best deals and prices. So who have you all been with that worked out the cheapest and best company.

Welcome to the DIS Susan :cheer2:

I'm sure there will be some useful suggestions along soon :)

Hi Susan,

We have booked our's with Virgin we go for 3 weeks staying in Pop and All star movies (split stay). (£3k for all 4 of us (2 ad + 2 children) not including tickets. and with 10% FQV off).
So I cant really say whos the best as we have always booked with Virgin.

Hope someone else can help,Welcome :goodvibes

Hi,

We tend to book a fly-drive with Virgin, and then sort out our theme park tickets and accomodation seperatley.
Mainly because we prefer either a private villa or apartment type places to stay.
Guess we like control over everything and having gained experience from our Florida holidays we have confidence in doing a lot of it ourselves.

It can depend on where you want to stay to a degree.

Have never flown with anyone else but prefer Virgin as they fly direct to MCO International and just find after a long flight we don't want to have to drive from Sanford airport, which is where several of the carriers fly to/from.

As we go during school holidays it tends to be expensive irrespective of who we fly with.

The likes of Travel City Direct, First Choice and Thomson all offer flights and package holidays to Orlando.

welcome to the dis :)

we went with travel city recently, they were cheap enough and i couldn't fault the service

you just need to do your research on prices :)

If you can go mid April Virgin flight only is very cheap, £318 incl each. dates I looked at were 15th Apr for 21 nights.
If you want to stay onsite then Value resort would be £1,200 incl transport, making total of just over £1,800.
To stay off site which we prefer and have car, I priced up our fave hotel Courtyard by Marriott LBV £742 +compact car with platinum cover £376, total about £1,750

There are so many options its difficult to give you prices without lots of info.
Where did you stay last time and what kind of prices?

Have just booked 3 weeks (7 - 28 Aug 2008) in AS Movies :yay:
2 Ad + 1 Ch for less that $2000. Paid $99 deposit and balance on arrival. Done on Nationwide Credit Card, so hoppefully a good exchange rate as well. :cool1:
I booked by phoning Disney direct. I tried to book online, but it would not accept the dates stating that I could only book 21 nights maximum :confused3

I saw they had some good prices for next August but still prefer offsite. Have you sorted any flights yet? I think we are going July 31st-Aug 25th next summer.

Like you, I have started checking M+M on a regular basis, but going on your last experience of christmas day release, maybe it will be a long wait. When you have booked M+M in all of your previous years, when were the August dates released ?
If I haven't booked by new year, I might try indirect flights. Have you done this ? If so, what airline

Thanks :thumbsup2
