We are thinking of going on the Alaska cruise for our 35th anniversary

this July:cool1:

so I am looking for any info on doing this cruise--

we already have been on the 3 nite Dream and 2 on the fantasy both eastern and western

now were really going to try something new!!!

we have never been on the Wonder--so I need lots of help in picking out a cabin (its just hubby and me)

thinking of OV--on the other cruises we were on decks 7 and 8 aft so the elevators dropped us off right in Cabanas--very handy!!!

also I noticed that first seating is full for the weeks in July the issue here is I have a slight medical condition that I cant eat dinner that late--with a medical reason is there anyway we can get early--the other cruises we were on we booked very early so there was no issue getting early--sharing a table is not an issue for us--one cruise we got a table to ourselves and it seemed like something was really missing--we like talking to others--and Disney goes such a great job matching us up

all in all Im looking for any advice tips suggestions

thanks all--Im anxious to hearing from you

We went on the Wonder Alaska cruise last summer. It was absolutely perfect and beautiful and you will love it.

We had connecting Verandah cabins, I believe they were 8006 and 8004 or similar. We were closer to the forward elevators, but it's not as much of an issue in the smaller ships.

When we were onboard, we booked a Fantasy cruise for March. The early seating was full so we got on the waiting list, but we were told we were so far down, it would never happen. In December, we were moved to the early seating. So there is definitely a possibility. I would call and explain and get on the waiting list.

Happy cruising.

My hubby and I sailed on the Wonder to Alaska 2x now, both in the same cabin. We stayed in 7126, one of the Navigator's Verandah cabins. I really loved this category as the balcony is enclosed, so it was sheltered from the chilly air but still beautiful to watch the sights from. I was able to spend the late evenings out there comfortably, which I don't think I could have done with a regular verandah.

Hope this helps - you will love Alaska!

Aby

We did Alaska with DCL in an OV. We did not feel we missed out not having a veranda. We spent so very little time in our cabin. It was a great cruise; recommend it.
