Next month, DH and I will be traveling with all of my in-laws to WDW to celebrate my niece's 2nd birthday. We don't have kids yet, so I always struggle with what to get for our nieces and nephews as it is.

They are having breakfast at CRT and she already has the whole Cinderella costume....

Also they are not sure if she is going to be afraid of furry characters (she wasn't thrilled with Santa this year, taking a chance with the princesses since they are face characters), so autograph book not only seems age inappropriate, but also not a good idea period.

So, I am looking for a Disney-fied gift that would be cute and tie into the whole fact we are celebrating the day at Disney.... Any thoughts/suggestions?

I did consider getting her the obligatory mouse ear hat with her name on them or 1st visit or something like that....

Hoping the Dis can help me out!

Thank you in advance!!!

I would recomend story books the Golden Books, or 5 min bedtime stories, that feature Disney charcters. We have a few and take them and have the princess sign them inside the book. That way as she gets older they can read the stoies and see the princess signed it for them.

That's very cute! Thank you!

Disneystore.com has gift cards that you can personalize with her picture on it, she could use it to pick out a toy in the gift shop, then keep the card as a souvernir too.

Things Remembered online store has a star necklace on sale for 14.99. I just ordered it and had it personalized to say "dd's wishing star". That is going to be one of her presents for her 7th bday we will be having at Disney this year.

How about a personalized mickey ear hat and perhaps a birthday button or sash, so she gets "happy birthday" all day long!

If you are looking for something easy to carry around, this might not work, but some of our favorite birthday presents from WDW have been the Disney World version of Candyland (got this for DDs 2nd birthday) and the Magic Kingdom storybook (for 3rd birthday). The storybook has Disney characters in stories that sort of take place in WDW, one for each land. The pictures are really cute.

How about a Disney world Duffy bear and some outfits? Maybe even ear hats to match the birthday girl's. My DD is 2 and would have a blast with something like that.

You could also go to once upon a toy at downtown disney, get her a potato head and a box of parts. That age group loves potato heads.

I knew I could count on the Dis for something awesome! That book sounds great! Finding it may be a different matter, but that sounds adorable! Thank you!

This family loves to play dress up, so I bet she would LOVE playing dress up with a bear. Thank you for that idea!

I vote for the Mr Potato head toy too. You get to fill the box for a set price. If you do it right, you end up with a ton of pieces. Ask for help. The CM pride them self on how much they can stuff in! We did that one trip and our little guys played with it anytime we were in the room the entire trip and it was a toy with real play value when we got home.
