Dude...MEDICATED?

Lydia. Look up BSIL ... you get

noun. Sister of DH who believes she is entitled to everything to be taken care of by other people. Produces over the top drama and refuses to pay for anything. Elicits feelings of uncontrollable rage in people who read stories of her actions and forces Kara to drink beer with straws.

:lmao:

Kara - thanks, I needed that slap back to reality. :goodvibes

Tina - that is what has me a little spooked. Our flights are going down and the prices are going up. :headache: Is SWA an option? If so, you can download DING for good deals sometimes. I've heard great things about Jet Blue also.

My best friend is at the beach today. She just wrote "I miss you" in the sand and sent it to me. Man, I wish I was there. :headache: It just isn't the summer without the ocean.

 Anyone have any meal routines they'd like to share? I'm trying to figure out some easy things for the summer. Here is what I have so far...

Night 1: Taco night
Night 2: Spagetti
Night 3: Grilled Chicken
Night 4: Left over chicken in a salad for us, pasta alfredo for the kids

Kara...your weather is how I feel. I almost just sent a text out today that just stated how miserable I am.

The dog is still not feeling well. The problem is when your dog is 12 you ask yourself "is she sick" is she depressed" or is she dying" I mean not to sound bleak but you fear the worst! I didn't need the dog to get sick while I was in charge of her! My Mom is so crabby. We come from the same mold...when we are scared or sad we get angry at innocent victims or crabby to all in our wake...well mom is taking it out on me and I can't decide who to take it out on.

I can't be mean to Mark...his sister is out of surgery and miserable! The good news is that it was NOT cancer! Thank God!!!! Plus, he has been working really long days.

I have Daisy end of the year stuff to take care of along with the usual running around. I think mark through out my Mom's sheets because he thought they were garbage, her car dyed and she didn't have me to take her to the grocery store and stuff because I have so much going on (so she was trapped) her around...did I mention the dog had terrible diarrhea and is moping around AND limping!

I truly feel down in the dumps!
I WILL catch up soon though guys! I sure hope sooner than later!
Off to tend to the puppy....

Deep breath - our GS Daisy Bridging Ceremony went GREAT!! All the girls said their lines and walked across the bridge wonderfully. Season's over so fast! We're doing City wide brdging in a few weeks.

Made my resort ressie today can't make ADRs until Friday. Does anyone know what time the 800WDWDINE opens?

We're watching WIPEOUT! I love that show it's crazy!

I'm with Lydia on this. I mean....medicated? Really?
Wheeew.

Sick doggies, BSILS, ADRs, changing dates....I think we all need a cocktail!

Hiya all

- back from our little break - went to Chester - a beautiful city near Liverpool in the UK. Chester was a Roman fort then went through medieval times to the present day - a beautiful old walled city full of black and white timbered houses etc. Kids had an absolute ball at the zoo and the Roman museums , and running on the wall parapets. It is well worth a visit if you are over here! We went to a Roman experience tour and touched a Roman floor tile which still had the fingerprints of the maker - 2000 years ago, it sent shivers through us all, the kids were totally awed by it. I almost used that phrase we Brits associate with you girls over the pond.... "that was totally awesome".

Kara - great news on not moving!!! But that SIL seems like a complete "stinky toe rag" as we would say.... (trans: smelly sock).

We pick up the Guinea piggies from their "holiday" (pet boarding house) today - I hope they are ok, as the place is so handy for us.

And - I hopped on the scales to find I dropped a pound - despite the salmon and mozzarella fishcakes and the cheesecake , and the pizza and icecream when we ate out on the weekend. The cheesecake ALONE was 15 delicious weight watchers points - FIFTEEN!!!!!!! I'm only allowed 24 a day! - but it was LOVELY. Still, back on track now, so should show a loss on Monday.

Must go back and read some more....

Tessa

What is Daisy bridging?

In Girl Scouts girls who are in Kindergarten and First grade are Daisy levels and at the end of the first grade year they 'bridge' (literally walk over a bridge - they get a rainbow bridge patch), which is symbolic walk into becoming a Brownie. They'll be Brownies for second and third grade and at the end of third grade they'll 'fly' (they'll get wings) up to Juniors.

It's a nice graduation type of ceremony every other year - the girls get a patch for the accomplishment and they get excited about moving on to a new vest, new patches (Brownies have the Try-its) and a new level of Girl Scouts.

Trust me I had no idea until this year when I became a Daisy leader. I was never a Girl Scout and I had never heard of any of this before.

Lydia - there's definitely a troop out there!! There's a site SWGirlscouts.org that is Swift Water Council - it looks like it's in the Green/White Mountains = I don't know if that's near you. They'll hook you up with girls in the same area, usually in the same school! I think the Girl Scouts is a great positive group for girls. I wish I had done it when I was a girl! I tell my Daisies almost every meeting that one of them might be the President of the USA when they grow up that nothing is out of reach!

Each area definitely has a council. The girl scouts are even over the pond but they are known as girl guides. I was a scout until 8th grade. I strongly recommend it to all girls. It was a surprise on how much work a leader can be but very cool. My daisys bridged as well this year.

Debbie I'm sending pixie dust your way. Don't feel like you can't lean on us. We are here for each other. Just wish I could help more. Just think you soon will be in DISNEY!!!!

Hi all! Just checking in to let you all know I'm alive - and things are fine. Just very tired.

Amanda had a bad battle with allergies after spending most of the holiday weekend outdoors. Kept her home on Tues. but was ok to go back Wednesday. On top of that, I had a "difference of opinion" with one of her nurses and decided to let her go. Long story - won't get into it. But I"ve been short-handed with night coverage; so basically I've doing the night shifts. I hate living like this - the girls are out the door by 7:30am and I'm back in bed by 8am. I've slept the past two mornings away and I feel guilty because NOTHING is getting done. There is a light at the end of the tunnel though - one of my other nurses will take over some of the shifts starting next week, so that will help.

AND - timing is everything () - Lauren and I are doing the Relay for Life this Friday night - walking throughout the night to raise money for breast cancer research. We're setting up tents and camping out at the high school track; my friend and I are chaperoning a team of six girls and at least two have to be walking at all times. So no sleep that night either. WooHoo!

Hope all is well with everyone. I'll try to catch up soon.

Debbie = full blown anxiety mode
Off to Daisy Bridging I go!
Ran errands and visited sister-in-law in the hospital during the day....
Flying by to let you know I love ya all!

Thank you Laura!:goodvibes

Where did you all get those shirts? I love them and have seen them on here quite a few times. Want to get them for my trip in December?

I made the shirts from designs that were done for me on the Creative DISigns thread here on the DIS. If you check it out and request the mickey head designs, the awesome designers will personalize for you. Then there are tons of how-to posts about making the shirts - it's just printing to transfer paper and ironing on the shirts. Simple!!!
