Thank goodness she is covered by the antibiotics because I think it IS already scarlet fever...that's what the rash means right? But yes I did talk to the doctor but i always welcome advice!
I"m not a md - but some kids just have a rash with the fever. Mia seems to always do that, but I think that a rash with strep is very common. My BF's kid has it now and is so itchy. Poor Elizabeth!
Tammie- I keep going back and forth about resorts. I want to stay at CBR but it is getting a bad wrap right now I am thinking of switching to CSR,but I am not sure??? Any ideas?
I am getting my grocery list together for the trip and adding it to the binder. I am also watching car rental rates like a hawk. The prices are out of control. We really need a minivan, but are making due with a midsize. I just cannot go without a car.
Jillian - HELLO - that was my big "what should I do" too. I REALLY researched CBR & CSR. There is a good CSR site that Buzz has.
CSR: Pluses (as I've seen them): 1. newly refurbed rooms (queen beds and looks so nice) 2. their food service seems to be better in reviews - they have an outside vendor do their food I have heard - which is why they do the stamp thing in the food court. 3. Convention resort = buses will be less crowded during the day. 4. Carlos stayed there and said shuttle carts take you around, you never have to walk. 5. gets great reviews. 6. great transportation reviews. 7. room service avaliable (with two kids, that is a nice option)
Minus: 1-pool lacking for kids my age. 2- not as close to Epcot, DHS...
CBR: Pluses 1. LOVE the theme 2. kiddie pool is way cool. 3. has new themed rooms 4. Can see illuminations from there I think 5. rooms are larger 6. themed pool seems very cool for Nicolas' age kids.
Minus: 1. double beds 2. older than CSR (first MOD I think) 3. room service limited to pizza I think. 4. very sprawling 5.s pread out - seems to have a lot of negative reviews about walking - friend of mine who stayed who is DIS clueless complained non-stop about it
Now, all that said, any minus of CBR can be offset with a car almost, or at least the transportation issues one - and if you rent a car anyway, I'd go with the theme that appealed to me the most. Do you like the more relaxed environment - go with CBR. Do you like the Mexican theme better - CSR then. Part of the draw to CSR for us is we honeymooned in Mexico - but also that they have a full business options. If someone needs to fax something for signatures, etc - it can be done easier there. KWIM? I like the theme of CBR probably better, but with Carlos being from PR, it doesn't do too much for him.
I think they are both great properties - and you can't have a BAD time - just a matter of what you like.
When we were there last
May I rented from a subsidiary of Hertz. I can't remember the name but they had the lowest prces. Iremember the name. Simply wheels
Part of me wants to rent a car. Part of me realizes that Carlos has the trouble brother, aunt, grandmother, uncle, cousins, etc in Orlando and that could turn into "Let's go spend the day".

Okay - NOPE to that!
Not liking my hair. Too shaggy - she trimmed up the layers and it's all over the place. And I don't like the way the bangs lay - too feathered. I'm so picky about my hair.... Oh, and STILL hating the mousy color and the gray is already showing through!!!! I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get it colored. I can't deal with this. If my hair looks like crap I feel like crap.
Listen, said it before. I'm too young feeling to go as grey as I am. Coloring every 10 weeks is as far apart as I can go. I'll wear clothes from wherever, but I NEED to color my hair. Mine is so fine, I MUST have it done by someone who knows what they are doing or it will fry. Here it isn't cheap - $140
Have y'all seen that Amber alert for the little girl from FL? She was supposedly kidnapped from her bed, in the county right next door!!!

Ths is a huge fear of mine anyway, and to have it happend nearby? Freaks me out! Ally saw the crawl at the bottom of the TV and asked what is an amber alert, so I had to tell her. I hate bursting her little bubble, but then I was able to explain to her WHY I won't let her ride her bike or
scooter unless someone is outside with her.....

Yeah, but to some degree that is good Kara. Makes her aware. I've let Nicolas watch Safe Side (John Walsh's video).
You'll see when you meet him. Very outgoing kid. Yaps to strangers like they were his best friend. Scares me to death constantly. I was the opposite as a kid - very shy. Not mine.
You guys should see our neighborhood. The wind was AWFUL yesterday. Trash cans everywhere. Trash in trees. Limbs down. Looks like we had a Cat 1. Hurricane come through! The winds reminded me of TS's on the beach. The weather channel could have been here for crying out loud!
Seriously, just to get the mail it was hard to walk against the wind. All is calm today - just cold again. Nicolas is sick today. Just a head cold. His BF was sick last week. Now he is fussing about his tummy - hoping it is no big deal.
We're watching the AK video Sing A Long thing - Nicolas LOVES is. I can't believe I passed on AKL for him. I was looking to see about it this morning. THey are doing "construction" inside to end April 15... so I keep telling myself maybe it is good we didn't. That kid loves Zebras so much. I feel like a butt for not doing it earlier.
Cammie - Just tell your friend that life is too hectic right now. Give it some time. Sounds like she may fizzle out on her own anyway. I wouldn't invite my friends back over for her to do one - that is just me. Someone different - like Tammie - who sells something they believe so strongly in and does a good job is one thing, but someone just doing it to be doing it and bouncing from thing to thing is only going to make your friends unhappy.
My two cents anyway. I had a friend to do that to me (invited me to multiple parties.) I finally went to the third one - a basket party (Longaburger or something). With my allergies, I don't need baskets collecting dust. Let alone to pay $50 plus when I don't like baskets. For the first time in my life, I left without buying anything. I decided I'd rather slip the hostess a $20 and call it a day if I had to. That isn't a nice feeling.
