you are absolutely right martha :)

Watch it! :rotfl2:

Okay - so we were planning on doing Epcot on Cinco de Mayo for Mexican food - well, that is the parks EMH night. Since we're honestly only going that night for just the atmosphere and dinner (and I'm not that impressed with SA's menu or reviews - sounds just pretty average) should we do something else instead?
I would. Because it will be a bit more crowded than normal - but that time of year seriously is not crowded at all, so scratch what I just said. It's not like you're gonna be out that late anyway, so I think you'll be fine.

I've officially declaired today a lazy day - just messing around on the computer - getting nothing done really.

I'm suppose to take cupcakes with Nicolas to school. Have a I made them yet - no. All I sit here and think is man, Publix makes some good cupcakes. Surely they'd rather have those.

How sad is that?

not sad at all. Tim left this morning and I have done nothing. Oh wait I started the dishwasher but nothing at all. And I am okay with that,

You should be okay with EMH in May. We were there last year and it didn't seem too crowded.

Can you tell I'm trip planning/dreaming today?

Kara - read your dining report...

1- where do I find the gran marnier slushy? Isn't there another one I am suppose to try too?

2 - School bread - is that Norway?

Anything else I'm missing on the "must do"?

Hi Ladies! I'm sitting here watching the snow come down like crazy. Last week was sunny and 50s - this week 30s again. That's typical Feb. here. I'm so looking forward to our vacations! The kids are supposed to be napping, but Londynn fell asleep in the car on the way home from McDonalds and the Petco, and she won't settle down again right now. Myles is fading fast, so I hope I can get her down again. I want to watch "The Bachelor" on Tivo this afternoon.

Lorrie, I'm glad your cousin is doing better. I'm sure it will help to see his friends and be in his own bed.

Yes, our dollar store is "Dollar Tree" and everything is $1. We have the 2 for $1 ponchos, too. I'm going to have to try the pop up hamper this time, too. As for the shoe thingy, we won't have much with just the two of us, so I think I'll skip that one this time - good idea though. I would definately bring one on a cruise.:thumbsup2 I used the space bags and zip locks for the clothes before - really helps, as long as you don't go overweight cuz you can fit so much in your bag!:goodvibes I always pack all the toiletries in zip locks, too - the airplane makes everything expand and leak.

I'm not an expert on Epcot - not our favorite park, so I don't have alot to contribute. Maybe if I learned more about it, I would like it better.

Is everyone planning to get together this year? Sounds like we all have other plans. Ryan and Dana wanted us to go to DL with them in Sept, then Jim and Ryan are going to be stationed out of state for most of 6 months starting in April, so I told Jim I would be with him in Sept and Oct. Mark and Lindsay should be working by then - I'm going to let them get their own daycare. ;)

Cammie, who is the boyfriend? You know we all have to approve!:rotfl2:

I need to go peel a carrot for Myles - have a good night!

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't get back here like I thought. Amanda came home from school sick again - don't know what's up with her. She's miserable one day; fine the next; then miserable again. At least I was able to get my hair appointment in - no more greys!

I'm thinking if Amanda stays home tomorrow, I'll be home-bound and will hopefully get on the computer while she rests.

Later!

I am sorry I am MIA too. Sorry Amanda is sick again. Elizabeth has a horrible ear infection! It's always something and I am so mad because tomorrow is Valentine's day at school and I have the Daisy's Valentine's party at school!

I will be back later...I am seeing squiggly lines right now which can't be good!

Mark is doing are taxes (HR Block is) I know a waste but if you knew us you would know we shouldn't be doing them. We had a big money talk that was aweful...I got the "well, why did we keep going to WDW and staying at GF" and I was like "well, what about this that and this" and then it was just depressing!

Oh well....enough of my whining! I really didn't get to read much. I will be back to catch up tomorrow!

Lorrie - gran marnier or grey goose citron slushy in France at the little kiosk right by the water. School bread in Norway. Don't forget dole whip in Adventureland in MK!

Taxes are done and we're getting a nice refund this year - we usually try to break even and that usually works, but with two mortgages half of last year, that helped a lot! Of course I'm doing my best to get the economy going and spend the refund!!! :lmao:

I made choco covered pretzel rods for Ally's party on Friday - then I drizzled pink and red choco over them. They came out really cute! Then I made choco heart molds in red and pink. That took awhile with only three molds at at time, but the final ones are chillin in the freezer right now so I'm almost done.

Looks like Ally is getting sick - first time in 4-5 years.... seriously. This kid just does not get sick! But she's starting to "bark" and said she feels "funny." She really doesn't know what it's like to feel sick, so I guess that's the only way she could describe it to me.

Going tomorrow to get my hair cut. I'm gonna continue to color myself for awhile, just to save money and keep the greys covered. But I've got no bangs right now and they are at a bad stage - can't tuck behind my ears yet so I keep pulled back in a clip and it looks stupid. Plus, I've never been without bangs and I don't think I'm gonna like it. So I'm thinking of going with the heavy bangs.... we'll see!

Kara- I hope Ally doesn't get sick. I'm with ya on the hair cut end I need something done before I leave I also have been coloring it myself. I just cannot afford 60 every 6 weeks it is money I don't need to spend.

I went shopping for socks today. I always buy new socks for a trip and the Tshirts are washed I just need to make them now. The suitcases are in the guest room and I will start packing this weekend. I can't believe we are so close to our trip.

Lorrie- So glad your cousin is home I hope he starts eating soon. Hospital food is Gross and so I don't really blame him.

Lazy day here too Mike needed sleep so I took Luca out to run around the mall.

Cammie- I hope Amanda gets better. Is tomorrow suppose to nice? It was so warm when we just went out.

Cammie, I hope Amanda is doing better, even though it would be nice to have you around tomorrow.

Debbie - I hate those "money talks" It is so much better to just close our eyes and have fun! :goodvibes It will be good to have it under control.

Kara -   The chocolate pretzels sounds fun.

Jillian - yeah for new socks! :)

Okay, have to go eat the ice cream Jim brought home for me. I've been on the phone working since 6pm. Time to relax.

hi there. Bummer Ally is getting sick. It is no fun when the little ones are sick.

Cammie how is amanda doing today? Is she still on the vent?

Jillian- new socks:cool1: I love new socks.

I missed the dole whip but hit the grand mariner slushy ---- very nice on a warm day.

Today it is still raining- no motivation. I had a dream about WDW last night. It was bad. The service was not good and the parks all closed. I think I need to stop watching the news before bed. The economic news will depress me.

Good morning all!

I kept Amanda home today. Was just miserable yesterday - fortunately no fever; but so much coughing. She coughs so hard and so much that I think she just starts to spasm, which makes everything worse. Literally turning purple the harder she coughed. Something sets her off though. Sad thing is she can have something like just a headache but can't tell anyone, and then it just puts her over the edge. I'm told them at school that if she starts to act fussy, just give her Motrin, fever or no fever, but they didn't.:headache: So she just got worse. I got her home; gave her Motrin, put her on the vent and to bed and she was calm w/in an hour. Decided to just keep her home today to keep an eye on her to make sure it doesn't get worse.

Lorrie - So glad to hear your cousin is doing better. How are his spirits? Did the skin grafting take well?

Laura - I'd love to send a postcard to Beth. What do I do? Just buy the card and sign it myself; or actually give it to Cinderella to do? I hear of people doing this all the time but never actually knew how they were doing it.

Jillian and Tammie - You guys sound so organized. I'm leaving in four days and still don't have my suitcases out. Been watching the weather and it looks like it should be pretty nice; I'm hoping it's at least capri-wearing weather. I probably should check to make sure Lauren's spring and summer clothes still fit her though. We certainly have enough Disney tshirts to wear; just need to take care of our bottom halves now.

The latest with Lauren: her boyfriend is not the homework-helper boy but is a boy on her bus who has had a crush on her for well over a year now. He asked her out by her locker one afternoon last week; she promptly texted me first thing when she got on the bus - that made me happy. This whole going out thing cracks me up though - have no idea what it means. She SWEARS she has no interest in kissing and they don't even hold hands; they just text and IM. Whatever. He's buying her a valentine's gift and she wants to get him something at Disney. We'll see how long this lasts. As for the musical, she got a part as one of the angels in the Beauty School Dropout number and will be a student in the rest. She loves the music so it should be fun.

I'll be back later with the latest on my quest for a cake in WDW.

Kara- sorry to hear that Ally isn't feeling well. Those pretzles are a fav of mine to do at Christmas. This year I added sprinkles to them and they looked so festive. I made mini-cupcakes for Nicolas' party last night. The kitchen is a disaster! I need to go clean all that up. I had to mix icing, because he wanted red hearts on each one. :headache: I should have remembered my heart candy molds! :headache:

Cammie - sorry to hear that Amanda had a rough day. You are smart to keep her home. I'm sure she rests better around you at home - knowing that she can just relax cause her CFWW mom's got it covered! :goodvibes I hope that the coughing goes away! That can't be fun.

My cousins grafts are doing okay so far. His skin is doing better than the donor grafts, but I think that is to be expected to some degree. Still oozy, and not really sure how things will end up -BUT no infection. That is the best news!

Laura - I'm with you the news depresses me - especially when it seems like no matter what, DOW is always down. :sad2:

Debbie - Been there, done that... recently! It isn't fun, but you have to. I'm with you a bit - you know, you have to live and have fun a bit, but you do have to keep it under control. I think it is hard for me, cause like you - I love to shop for the kids. Here for you anytime! :)

Jillian - Make sure to let me know how the shirts go. I'm going to attempt mine this trip - just for Nicolas' birthday I think! See if it will get him a little extra magic that day! :wizard:

Tammie - glad to hear you were taking a break, you are always so busy!

I ordered some things to make my BF a scrapbook for her birthday. I'm really excited. It is Bo Bunny's new Maya Road line - so pretty. I think she will love it! THANK YOU TESSA for the idea :) Can't wait for it to get in - huge score. It was just shown at the trade show a few weeks ago, so getting it this early is really something!

Our weather is quite nasty here today, so I'm thinking I might have to get off soon. The wind is just so strong. 30-40 mph right now. I have to pick Nicolas up at school right after they are projecting the worst to push through. They don't think we will have tornados - or at least if we do, they'll be small and quick moving. ((Last time they said that, downtown got hit... so you know...))

Tis the season for that around here.

Ok guys - would like your opinion.

Have any of you ever heard of Mona Vie Acai juice? If you google it, you get a lot of varying stories of it either being a miracle juice or just a scam. Of course, I'm under the belief that if it's a good as people claim, why aren't doctors pushing it. Anyway, the reason why I'm asking is because I have a friend who's become a distributor and she's pushing me to try it and have a tasting party for my friends. Now this is the same friend who, over the last two years, has pursued various ventures that would hopefully allow her to quit her job and work for herself.

I've tried to help her in the past, but she's just so unreliable that I don't want to get involved in any of latest "schemes" anymore. And my friends won't take her seriously either. Do you guys know anything about this?

Greetings from Oz....

No, seriously - worst is gone. Still very windy. 60-70 mph :scared1: I'm not scared - that is just what my hair looks like in the wind! :rotfl2:

Roof damage being reported, lots of trees down, few small pop up tornados but no big deal here. The wind is just crazy though! I forgot to bring in our glass patio table. Luckily the seagrass I forgot to cut back blocked it and kept it from flipping over! :yay:

I hadn't heard of the stuff - so I googled it and read the Newsweek article on it from Aug 08. My gut is - probably isn't any better than vitamin water or something. I think I bought some POM juice that had that berry mixed it. I mean it probably wouldn't hurt you - but I doubt very seriously it is any more healthy than a nice blended juice.

With todays economy, I think you can just be honest that purchases have to be more necessity type, etc. Maybe I'm a skeptic, but my expectations of stuff like that is low - especially new things. Keep in mind that they think Carlos' heart attacks at 24 were due to him taking some bulk up powder at GNC before they knew about ephedra. You never know.

My 2 cents, pass.

Have a party if you want to do that for her - but you might consider what I do. I can't STAND to think people get sucked in because they have to buy something if they come - so I just disclaimer it. Come - visit - have fun. Buy only if YOU REALLY want to, because I'm not interested in the benefits of hosting as much as I am just visiting with you. HOnestly, buy nothing if you want and I'm totally fine. So people come - those who want to buy do, those who don't pass and I don't feel that I've forced my friends into anything.

Probably helped none - sorry.

Hi Cammie! I've heard good things about that juice, but probably from the distributors. :) Everyone is talking about that acai berry, and several companies offer it. I saw some pics of some blood scans where the blood cells were apparently made better and the lab work was better. People claim to feel better. Our food is so stripped by the soil and fast growing, that I truly believe we are slowly starving ourselves to death. Doctors don't push any of this stuff (except for the ones who become distributors and quit their jobs) because if they do and you have health concerns anyway, you could sue them. (I asked one) They only go by accepted practices from the AMA. Which, we all know is a "drug 'em to death" attitude. OOPS! I worked for doctors! ;) I haven't taken it, because our vitamins do the same thing, so I didn't feel the need to try them.

I like Lorrie's take on it, even though that's how I get paid. I never want to pressure the guests to buy, I just tell them to come and have fun!

On another note, I hope Amanda can stop coughing. It's got to be extra miserable for her! I am NOT so organized, I just talk about being organized!:rotfl2: I do have all of our Summer clothes put away, so I guess I could start packing them and we wouldn't miss them at all! We leave 5 weeks from tomorrow for college basketball part of our trip!:yay:

No Lorrie - you helped greatly!

I knew it probably couldn't hurt; but these Mona Vie disciples (my friend included) urge you to drink a certain amount each day. And the bottles she's selling ain't cheap! That's why I'm so against it.

My issue about the party is this - this is the same friend who, just this past summer, was pushing Arbonne products on everyone she knew. She convinced me to have a party and I thought she did a horrible job! Was not well-informed at all. Now I love the product and use it but don't think my friends were impressed with the presentation. So I'm hesitant to bring them back in for another party, by the same person, pushing something different. I just think she's lost all credibility with my circle of friends around here - and I don't know how to tell her that.

That totally makes sense. Sounds like she doesn't apply herself. If she did, she wouldn't have to keep finding another plan. Maybe you should just put her off for awhile and she'll ask someone else, and eventually give up. :rolleyes1

Actually, one of my neighbors is a distributor - she has the stuff all over her car, etc. All I can say is that she looks incredible! She has 5 kids ranging from about 7 to 18. And she looks incredible. Did I mention she looks incredible? Oh, that could be because she's married to a former Cleveland Browns player so she's probably had work done! :rotfl2:

My hair stylist in SC was also into Mona Vie. But it is SOOOO expensive. She tried to get me to try it but there was no way. Supposedly that acai berry is the new wonder drug of today. Tomorrow it will be something else. So just take it all with a grain of salt.

I have new hair! I got bangs cut in and I'm going back in a couple of weeks for color. I can't do this mousy brown. It's killing me!
