Good luck and have fun!

Hiya all -

you know you should always be careful what you wish for?? well, our school was shut for the past 2 days due to snow!!!!! Heaps of the stuff by UK standards - well a whole 3 inches!!:rotfl: So - enough to be fun, but not enough to worry about. Anyhow - the kids both have flu!!! So I've been building snowmen for them!!!

I knew they were getting ill when my eldest wouldn't eat chocolate - her tummy is affected by the flu too. They were both upset on Thursday when I said they couldn't go to school since they were ill, and then the parent/school phone network texted us to say the school was going to be closed anyhow. I love technology! and I love the fact that my girls love school too - can you believe they desperately wanted to go because Thursday is SWIMMING day - with the FLU! Anyhow, today they look so ill they wouldn't even be able to think about swimming, so nice weekend ahead.....:crowded: Tinkerbell the movie again I guess...

Made the mistake of watching Bridge to Terabithia yesterday - took us all an hour to stop crying! What a moving film for kids - won't give away the weepy bit in case you haven't seen it - it is a good film to get the kids talking about things....

Off to snuggle down with the little darlings - and hopefully NOT catch flu!!

Tessa

Oh Tessa your poor girls that's horrid .. Oh i can't believe you watched that i took Cj to the cinema to see it and let's just say i will never watch it again, Chloe just cannot handle things like that she's so extremely sensitive and emotional and it really disturbed her poor thing

We have had so much snow here, kids went in Monday morning only to come home at 12 there wasn't much snow then but enough to have fun in anyway school was closed tues because of icy conditions, they went back wednesday then wednesday night it put down about 5 or 6 inches of snow i don't think we've ever had that much snow here, just too flat!! Anyway kids haven't been back to school since hahaha and forecast is for more tomorrow and monday so we'll see, it's crazy never seen anything like it here at all.
Stay tucked up in the warm and i hope the girls feel better soon :flower3:

Hey girls it's warming up here today so we are going to hit the outlets and Ikea to get ready for our Disney trip. Ikea is just because we are near there who doesn't need to make a trip there? This week I will be getting the 6 loads of laundry :laundy: done so I can pack and make t shirts.

Kara- Did you use white transfers for the white shirts or the dark transfers? I want them to wash to wear again we may go again this Nov? Depends on money and the economy.

Cammie- I am getting so excited for you and Lauren. How did your transfers work out?

I just dont want ones that run. I am thinking of ordering some from MickeyAmy?

Debbie- Is it warmer there?

Laura- How are you making out?

Tammie- Hope you are having a blast this weekend. Be safe and no snow.

Erin I can't believe all of that snow. Is that your neighborhood? So cute. Mike and I may skip Disney next year to take a trip to Italy but I was thinking Disney Paris as a side trip?, but I would love to visit you and Tessa. I would love to go to London and the theatre. I will make it there some day.

Tessa- I hope the girls feel better the poor things. We just went thru that here and it was miserable. I really feel for you it is hard being a mommy on those sick days.:flower3:

Nice relaxing day today - well, sort of.

Jeff and I both woke up in a cleaning mood today so got the whole house clean - he just did our bathroom, but he took the steamer to the shower and the floor, which it soooo needed! I got the other bathrooms, all the floors steamed or vacuumed, and the kitchen nice and clean. Still need to get the appliances but I got a lot of junk and clutter cleaned up - don't know why I was keeping most of it cause I ended up trashing it all. I now have tons of counter space after all that!

Erin and Tessa - y'all are cracking me up with your snow! It reminds me of SC - just the forecast of a dusting of snow and everything would shut down. But it makes sense in areas like that where there isn't the equipment to deal with snow and ice.

We watched Dog Whisperer on Animal Planet last night and now Jeff thinks he's a pro training Buckeye - it's funny!

Off to paint my nails and see what Jeff is concocting for dinner tonight - all I know is there is shrimp - yum!

Hiya - love those pics Erin - haven't been able to upload any yet - will see if I can get time today...

Have also been to Italy - and plan to go back in 4 or 5 years so the kids will enjoy the "culture" more...

Tessa

Happy Sunday everyone!

Erin...I deflected those snowballs! Thanks for the pix.
Tessa..looking forward to your pix!

Kara...what did I tell you about talking about cleaning and having a clean house and all!

I am going to TRY to stay off the computer today.

Hi everyone! I got back last night. Had a great time, but got NO sleep! I had to catch up last night in my own bed. I really have to get some cleaning done today. Jim is working today, so I'll have a little time.

Erin and Tessa, so funny about the snow. It's nice that its a novelty for you and you can enjoy it so much.

Erin, I love the pics - cute of the kids.
Tessa, Tarabithia was a good movie, but I don't want to see it again - too sad.

Debbie, loved the Minnie drink pic on FB. I tried to copy it, but I couldn't get my password for photobucket right. I'll try again after I'm really awake.

Jillian, post pics of the TShirts, we want to see them!

Kara, you are such a "susie homemaker!" You are always so organized and clean! I'm jealous. I'll do better when i get my house back, but I'll miss the babies.

Hey, where's Lorrie, and did I miss the post about changing her name?

Okay, I smell coffee - must have coffee - :coffee: Have a wonderful Sunday, and hi to everyone else! Glad you East Coasters are getting warmer weather!

Just a fly by
Kara i went to vote and the poll was closed and it looks like you won, did you? If so yayayaya

I put a check mark next to everything in the OP :rotfl:

i'm planning a trip more than 10 months away(12/24-30) like its happening next week because I want everything to go according to plan .. it seems like time is moving extra slow because of this! :hyper: :hyper:

Whats the best way to organize for a WDW trip? I have a word document that i've made but I don't want to leave anything out

i'm worried that i'm going to be so focused on following the scheduled plans that I might forget to have fun lol how do you worry warts and control freaks avoid that from happening?

Welcome. I try to do as much planning as I can before I go so everything is done when I get there. Once I am there the planning is over and I try not to fret to much when things get out of order. We follow a TGM plan as much as we can but plan 4 days to stay off of any plan and just take the day at leisure. If you are always looking at your planning book you are not going to enjoy yourself.

At Christmas time plan on taking in then going on rides from what I hear it is SUPER crazy. Make sure you have any ADR's in place at the 90 day mark and go from there. Hope that helps!

Welcome!

Like Jillian, I tend to favor TGM too. I went during a busy time last year and it worked out well. I'll second what she said about having time to enjoying things. A wise woman (Tammie ;) told me not to forget to just enjoy ourselves and take it all in - so we are planning to get a good general idea of the trip, and be flexible this go round. ;)

Funny about word, I do my planning in Excel - like the ability to have multiple sheets inside one document.

Hi everyone - :wave2: it is beautiful here today. I just came in - 70 degrees. About to head back outside with the kids. All I could think is that Cammie's trip is going to be wonderful if the weather is suppose to be like it is here! Speaking of - how's all the packing going there? Has the ice melted any?

I'm in a Kara mood - been cleaning. Gosh the house needs it! I sware, I love Carlos home on the weekends, but the house is 1000 times worse! :rolleyes2 ::yes::

Okay, outta here for some vitamin D! :)

PS - I was successful in my quest - I was surprised though! I never thought I would be able to find fragerence free deod, shampoo, & soap but I did. No fragrence of any kind for my test next monday - 4 hours long. Hopefully they can sort me out. Day 2 of no meds for this test. I'm wondering how exactly I will be by next Monday. :crazy2:

BTW - Erin, love the snow pics! I LOVE show (sorry Debbie, Laura, Jillian & Cammie).

whoo hooo that is good news. I couldn't imagine going to the doc with out that stuff. The weather is okay here. We had the birthday party and everyone survived. Now I just have a mountain of toys and Beth has lots of thank yous to write.

Ok a request of those that are going soon.....I would appreciate a postcard from Cindy to Beth. A girl in her class went last month and she told Beth that Cindy didn't remember her and that she wasn't her favorite. She is really worried that the princesses don't like her anymore. So would someone send one to her saying they like her and can't wait to see her in a few years? I would really appreciate it.

You guys are the best!
