Cammie - when we were at Mama Melrose last year, the family sitting next to us had ordered a bday cake and were leaving the next day so they didn't want to take it with them. They gave it to us! And it was yummy! And if you schedule it at an Epcot restaurant, or Yachtsman, you could run it back to your room. OR, give it to the nice hungry family sitting next to you!
Feeling MUCH better today - so much so that I HAVE to go to the gym tonight when Jeff gets home. I've been so bad lately. My problem is that I lose weight with stomach virus, then for the next two days I eat EVERYTHING!!!! So I end up gaining weight.
Cammie, we have been trying to schedule a day trip to Disney, so I'm really thinking about that Sunday you get in. I'll let you know as it gets closer. It will probably depend on whether or not Jeff is joining us in March, and the weather. It's been cold lately! HIgh of only 46 today and low in the teens tonight! But it usually starts warming up by mid-Feb, or so I've been told - only been here a year so I can't speak from experience. But I know last year I was at the pool in early March, so hopefully.....
Blizzard Beach Is Closed Because It Is Soooo Cold Down Here!!!!!
It wa 16 here when I took Nicolas to school. brrrr....
We'll be 60 by the weekend. No wonder I stay all messed up!
Nah, I am the one who over worries.I have the birthday cake hotline #. Haven't called yet, but have looked at some cakes on the cake thread; some are so cute. So, tell me if I'm over-thinking this too much: I'm trying to choose the night to have the cake that would allow us to still have days to enjoy leftovers but would not be a pain to carry around with us after dinner. Should I just accept that we'll just have some at dinner and I'll leave it? Kara - I was thinking the Yachtsman also; that's our last night at SSR, so we'll probably just walk around the BW after dinner and go back to the room. But Lauren REALLY loves the dessert there, so then why have the cake too? Then I was thinking to have it at Fulton's on Monday night - the desserts there are just ok; it's not on the DDP, so dessert isn't included anyway, but we get those big snacks at Goofy's in DTD; do I really want to have the cake that night too? My last thought is our last night at LeCellier - it would be nice way to end our last night's dinner and then I would just leave the cake there.
I know - I'm worrying way too much about something so trivial. Thoughts, anyone?
Mom is out of surgery, all went well, but she's gonna be in recovery for 3 hrs! I'm sure she's got a few days of pain in front of her, but hopefully this will all be better for her after a couple of months.
What about having it sent back to your room. They do it with packages from stores. So buy something small and have it sent with the cakeNah, I am the one who over worries. But you want it to be special. You do know that they'll bring her a lighted cupcake at each place - right? Even for breakfast. The thing was massive, I tell ya!
But if you want to order her a special cake, I'd put my vote in for Monday if you heard they are good. I'm wondering (bet they would) if you could leave the cake there and swing by and pick it up on your way out - wait... where is Fultons?
Get this - Jeff and his sister did not arrange flowers for their mom. Idiots!!! Or else his sis just sent flowers from her family. I REFUSE to help with this. My sis and I took care of flowers for my mom, Kami ordered, and I sent her a check. Done deal. So why can't Jeff and his sister get it together? He told me to call her, and I said "No."
Feeling better today but really want candy, in a big way! To the point that I"m about to run out and get a big bag of M&Ms!!!!
Lorrie - when we went to BBB, our appt was at 8:05am and the park didn't open until 9:00 and we had no trouble getting there by bus. The only thing is that the busses run to differenet resorts. For instance, that morning, from Pop, we went to Poly, and GF before going to MK, so do allow for more time.
And time for the bus to break down :rotfl)
