Hi Tessa!I saved your trippie link and will check it out later. Thanks.
Cammie...I had a feeling you lost your computer. Glad you are back and all is well!!!!
Great to see you here Lisa! We will figure something out as things thaw!
Kara...I need your email address. Why don't you PM me or I'll just PM you mine and you can email me it.
Love your pix. I use that lady for my designs too!
I forgot you used the "X". Isn't it so.....yummy! I have a bit of a headache though and I would say I only drank about 16 oz. It's pretty strong, huh.
Keahi .....I sent it!:rotfl2:

Thank you everyone for you help! And I hope all of you who aren't feeling well, get better soon!

Wow this is an active board. Reminds me of the one we started when ttc our ds! I think it was Kara (?) who asked when we were going. Mid April. I'm excited, but anxious. I'm in the process (okay, trying to get my head around the process) of weining dd (1). It will be my first time away from her, but I was restricted so much of my preg. And with her nursing, I feel like I missed two very active and fun years with DS. This trip is for us to get some two of us time. I'm certain that I could be sitting on a bus and be happy it is just the two of us. I feel a littl guilty leaving DD with DH, but not much (ha). We will see if that changes.

So I scored a discount I wasn't expecting. Free park hopper and water park tickets - which adds a new element to my plan. Should I then maybe not do a park that first night and at the end of my stay upgrade 1 of our 4 day tickets to non expire? She also said I get Downtown Disney entries free. I'm thinking Quest is too old for him - but I would like to see the scrapbook store there :). At any rate, I'm now wondering if I should just plan on a dinner at Whispering Canyon that first night...

I meant to also ask - what is your experience with evening EMH at MK? Is it a mob scene?

Thanks - and hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Oh - and I started a countdown calendar for ds. Just a quick box like calendar that counts down the days. Then we put a Disney sticker of his choice over the box at the end of the day. Last night was the first night and he loved it!

Do you call & reconfirm the ADRs? I hate to say it, but some of the CM that helped me seemed less than with it, so I'm afraid they will delete the reservation. I just wondered what other fellow control freaks did.. ha ha.

I have a naughty, obnoxious Disney related email to forward if anyone is interested. I was just going to forward it to my pals here who's email addresses I have but then I realized I could offend. The worry wart in me saved it to draft.......
It is pretty funny...crude but funny.

Ooh - email me too!

.
:cool1:

Have a great weekend everyone!
BTW Did I tell you I found my "new" drink at none other than Costco. I swear I haven't drank since I got pregnant with DD in 2002. I would have to say maybe a total of 10 drinks at the very most A YEAR! But tonight I cracked open the bottle and am going to take up drinking again!:rotfl2: Maybe I will increase to 15 drinks a year!!!!
image-cocktails.jpg

Guess which one I am trying now????

Okay, I'll play - I say you went straight for the bottle :drinking1 :goodvibes

Really, what is it and where can I get it??? And what is the recipe?

Of course I called to confirm 2 weeks before - being the good control freak and worry wart that I am! :thumbsup2 Your alone time with your son sounds wonderful! I think it is wise to make some time just for him to feel special and know you love him!

I made t-shirts for all three of us from the Creative Disigns board. They are plain white t's with this on the front pocket area:

DH and I have the same design there.

Then on the back:

Ally and I have the same design:

And DH's design on back:

I think this will be cute for us, but I don't want Ally to feel bad if there are a ton of other girls her age in princess dresses!

Very nice, Kara. You all will be styling... I really like the design on the back of you and your DD shirts. :thumbsup2

That does it -- I'm heading for Costco tomorrow. :drive:

Hiya all,

Kara - love the Tshirt designs, must do something similar, well, plan to and get caught out with no time left is more usual!! From reading the boards, lots of kids do dress up as princesses though, so - sorry for putting doubts in there....:confused3 Mine will be in their old much washed ones...

UsNew -i think they are used to people ringing to confirm - just remember -don't do it first thing in the morning when everyone is doing their new ADRs....

Debbie - I am of the one or 2 drinks a year type of drinker - that stuff looks nice - but how do you feel in the morrning!:crazy2:

Lisa - please make sure your dad sees his doctor - at the early stages diabetes (if it is diabetes) is much much more easily liveable with in old age if treated straight away - it can be treated with diet, but not "cured" .... My mum is diabetic (late onset) and doesn't pay enough attention to what the doc says- so instead of diet control she is now on pill control and if she carries on will be on injection control - she is going to be very ill later in life!! :sad2:

Hi to everyone else too, spending far too much time on my computer - would be lost without it - so I know how you felt Cammie.....

Tessa

First of all - welcome to the the thread, UsNew! I've been MIA because of a bad computer, so sorry I'm a little late with the greeting.

If you have your confirm.#s, your ADRs should be all set. I don't usually call to re-confirm - there have been many thoughts posted on the dining boards that the less you have the CMs checking your ressies, the less chance of them getting screwed up. That's what I'm paranoid about - calling in and having all my ADRs pulled up and then one of them getting mistakenly deleted!

Your alone trip with your DS sounds like a great idea! I'm actually taking my younger DD in June for our own little mother/daughter trip. My older daughter is special needs and usually requires all of my attention when we go to Disney; this trip in June with my youngest will give her chance to have her mom all to herself - and mom will maybe, for once, have a somewhat relaxing vacation! As for MK late EMH: we've never done it but plan on doing it our first night of arrrival in June. We're staying at the VWL - so we'll only be a short boat ride away. I've heard that it can be quite crowded for a while, but that by midnight, the crowds really thin out and that by 1am, the park is practically EMPTY! I'm really looking forward to running around an empty MK that late at night with my 12yr.old.

Debbie - That drink looks yummy! I may have to track down a bottle!
Kara - Your t-shirt designs are adorable! I'm so jealous you'll be there so soon. Can't wait to hear what you think about the P&PP.
tessa - I'll be sure to check out your pre-trippie!

Hi to Tammie, Jillian, Pam, Pam2, sewer, Lisa, and Ahibird!

Tammie - Thanx for the good luck charm! I sent back to everyone else I could think of on this thread. Someone please remind me to take if off after St Patty's Day!

Just 5 days and counting now! woo hoo! :cool1: It is going to be SOOO weird though to be at Disney and not do the "whole" touring thing. Just P&PP on Saturday night. DH keeps reminding me, "Do NOT let me go to the DVC counter." Because he knows that it would be ideal for us, as close as we live now. We've come "this close" to buying twice before (the first time on our honeymoon 10 years ago - it would have been paid off by now!). Nah, I think I'll actually nudge him toward the DVC desk when we get there. After all, we have all day Saturday with only a liitle DTD in the plans.

Anyone here DVC members? Any pitfalls you can think of? Any regrets?

Well, found an awesome store yesterday selling top quality furniture at about 60% off the retail cost! Broyhill, Thomasville, Hooker, Parker House, all top names at less than Rooms to Go prices!!! Crazy!

Off for now - DD wants to take the training wheels off her bike. She finally gave in when she saw DH and I looking at bikes for ourselves, and she's afraid that she'll get left behind if she doesn't learn to ride hers!

Have a great Sunday!

Oh Kara - push hubby RIGHT OVER to that DVC counter!

I'm a DVC owner and it's so worth it for us. I knew we would be travelling to Disney every year and so it's pretty much paid for itself already. We bought in 2000 and have gone nine times and have two trips planned for this year. I wish I owned more points though, because your points usage really adds up when you have a Friday & Sat.nite stay - I can't avoid that because I'm coming from so far away and want to make the most of my time. I would imagine that since you live so close, you could plan alot of trips avoiding those nights and still get a good amount of time in.

It's definitely worth it if you know you're going to go alot!

Wow, the thread's been quiet lately. I found us all the way on page 3 :surfweb:

We, too, have been agonizing over buying into DVC. We've weighed to pros and cons, calculated the math, throw in every justification ever imagined... and we're still sitting on the fence.:sad2: Even with Disney developing DVC at DL AND in Hawaii... we still can't make up our minds.

We are exactly the same. Each time we go, we avoid the DVC like the plague  for fear that we'll break down and buy. We almost bought at Boardwalk 10 years ago, then at Saratoga Springs, then a resale at Hilton Head. Maybe now that we are in FL, it is just time! I know it would be worth it but we just can't seem to pull the trigger!

Debbie - Loved the email! I laughed out loud when I opened it up!:lmao:

DH and I bought bikes for ourselves on Sunday, and we've been riding like crazy - needless to say I am sore!!! Especially a certain part of my bod that sits on the not so cushioned seat!!! We worked with DD for about an hour without training wheels and she did okay. A couple more training sessions and she will be riding on her own, I hope!

Sunday was one of the most beautiful days I've seen in years! about 85 with no humidity (rare around these parts!). We rode bikes, worked in the yard, cleaned the garage, went shopping, played outside with the dogs. I know, I know, some of you hate me now. But you'll be the envy of ME in July and August when it is too hot and humid to even step outside!

Three more days!!! Woo hoo! OK, so you're hating me again! :rotfl:

I'm just hoping that something has changed and we can buy the photopass cd discounted since we are just going to P&PP this trip. I love photopass! We had 300 photos on it 2 years ago when we went. Plus, I'm 20 lbs lighter this time so I want to take MORE pics! We'll definitely take lots of pics so I'll post some next week!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Kara - 3 more days? - You lucky duck! We won't hate you as long as you share the magic when you get back by posting lots of pix! Why haven't you pre-purchased the photopass cd? Did something change? I don't think it's too late for you to do it though.

It's a busy week for me this week. My youngest DD turns 12 next wed., but I have family coming from NJ to celebrate this weekend - 10 total staying with me!:scared1: I usually don't like to have this full of a house, but my daughters are looking forward to their cousins all being here so I guess I'll suck it up for the weekend. I may be purchasing a few bottles of that lovely Fusion liquer that Debbie seems so fond of!:rotfl:

Have a good day everyone - we're gearing up for another storm today - hopefully it will be mostly rain.

I don't want to pay $99 for just a few pics (although knowing me I'll still have 100 pics only in the park for 8 hrs!). Can I prepurchase it and then get a refund if I decide NOT to buy it when we return??? Decisions, decisions!!!

We're supposed to get VERY severe weather this afternoon. I have the radar pulled up on my computer and I'm watching very closely. I'm a weather junkie!

Kara - Actually, I think you CAN get a refund if you pre-purchase and decide it wasn't worth it. Check out the photopass site.

BTW - It's dark and dreary here too. A little nervous; the weather forecasters are saying is just going to be rain, but that always gets screwed up and we then get tons of snow. We'll see!

Hi Girls..Quick fly by for now! HOPEFULLY I will be back.
Have a great day!!!
Kara I am so............ excited for you!!!!!!!!
We are in snow AGAIN so I am REALLY jealous!!!!
