I'll be back....

We loved going there when we were little. Then we had a bad meal there so we started going to Pecos Bills. How was the food?

I am comforted in:teacher: knowing others feel the way that I do about a hotel room. Thanks for the tips. Geesh.....10 min. on a room. Although that is shocking to me, I think that is probably fine for the average person who isn't haunted by OCD.

I have to sub tomorrow at the school, but look forward to obsessing about any other tips anyone might throw my way over the holiday!:teacher:

Wow Its nice to see/read this thread... I'm feeling less alone. I don't have time to read the entire thread tonight... I must say I LOVE the photos from Debbie6221! Beautiful! I'm afraid it just adds fuel to the "Everything has to be just so" fire!:rotfl:

Those are nice pic's Deb, since it's November in northeast Ohio the clouds have rolled in, the sun won't return 'till March they will be a comfort to me!

So cute! I think we looked past it, because that place at DL is a bad hamburger place - this Pinocchio's menu looks good - and you can't beat the view! :thumbsup2

Debbie, your kids are so precious - what beautiful pics! They are getting so big since we first "met." I feel kind of like an aunt who wonders where the time went! :goodvibes

Tammie - I think that the menu is different from when we were little so hopefully the food is better. I could swear that we had hamburgers there, which were bad.

Debbie - I know what Tammie means about the kids growing up so fast. DD told me today that your DS is so cute and he was so fun at the waterpark. Your pictures are awesome. Great job.

Love the photos Debbie, I really want to be there right now!!! I have to go make our final payment on our holiday next week - that is going to hurt!!!, but it makes it seem so real when it's all paid for.

Our travel agent got taken over by a bigger one last month, so I'm hoping and praying that nothing has gone amiss in between the 2 of them!!!!! I did get a letter welcoming us and saying they were "handling" our booking now, so fingers crossed!

Must remember to see if we can book our seat on the plane, food - inc kids meal on the plane, ask if they will tell us our actual villa location, etc

Can anyone give me advice on whether we should pay the little extra to get the pool heated - April I guess the water will still be cold? - will we spend enough time at base to warrant it? Would be nice to relax in the evening...

Welcome to all the newbies - we really are a friendly bunch, can't remember when I joined in this one, but it seems like forever!!!!

Cheers,
Tessa

Yes, I sit here, packing for our trip to Disney in FOUR days:cool1: , watching a fairly heavy snowfall blanket my deck and lawn! This trip could not come soon enough. It's been such a hectic week - with all the excitement of planning for our trip, I keep forgetting there is holiday to be celebrated before we go! For once I made the right decision to stay home and celebrate Thanksgiving with just my girls. Don't have to worry about company or cooking for people - just the three of us! Should be relaxing!

Hope everyone is having a good week and thanksgiving preparations are going smoothly! Will check in before we go!

Hi to all the newbies!:wave2:

NOT FAIR - I WANT SOME SNOW!!!!!!

I love the snow, we get a measly inch per YEAR in this part of the world, I remember as a child in Orkney when one year we had 4 foot of snow -school was shut it was great, something we will remember forever.....

The only real snow I remember in Gloucestershire was around a foot deep in 1986!!

So enjoy your packing - and the snow too!!

Cheers,
Tessa

Trust me, Tessa, snow is pretty to look at but NO FUN to shovel. I actually think it's pretty in December, but a pain mostly anytime else!

Florida - here we come!

Be careful what you wish for! If you want to trade houses, and come to northeast Ohio for a winter I think I can fix ya up!:rotfl2:

The very best thing about snow and cold weather is when you are leaving it for the warm Florida sunshine! Last winter when we left home, the car thermometer read -8. As we drove south, we watched the temperture climb, which was great fun for our children. When we pulled into Disney it read 78 degrees! What an uplifting moment in February!

I must admit I do like snow in Nov. and Dec. for the holidays. After that I am done with it for a year!

I vote for snow in December only! It is pretty - we have alot of pine trees here - so it is really "Christmasy" when they are covered. Mostly what happens here is rain until January and Feb, when you are tired of the cold - then it DUMPS and then melts, then repeats!

Cammie! 4 DAYS!!!!!! I am excited for you - will be looking forward to your pics! Have a great time if I miss your post - we have kids coming for the weekend - so who knows? In the meantime - "over the river and through the woods...." at least your snow fits the song! :goodvibes

Tessa, your holiday will be here soon! I am not sure about the pools - we usually don't have time, but this last trip with younger ones - ages 7 & 8, we took an afternoon break every day. I always love a warm pool.

Hi Lisa, Maureen, Debbie, Sewer, Pam, Pam2(lucky), Jane, Kristen, Silver, Kehai, everyone else - don't be strangers!

Hi Gang,
I have to pause from my magical trip reporting with pix to vent………….
I am totally stressing over tomorrow. I have been trying not to unload about it here because I just don’t want you guys to get the wrong impression of me. I am afraid I will come across as selfish. I STILL do not know what I am doing tomorrow! If you can believe it!

My DH actually gave me an out and said we could just go my family this year and then just make sure to eat with his family next year. That sounds all well and fair except I don’t feel comfortable committing to next year when I don’t know what next year holds. I just know that when it comes down to it next year I won’t want to miss out on my family’s Thanksgiving…

So back to square one I still don’t know what I am doing….
I am assuming by tonight I will know…………

By this weekend I should be over this crap, onto Christmas stress, but back to posting pix of my trip (I have over 500).

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if I don't get back here again.....
hopefully I will....................

Debbie, I understand it's hard to be with DHs family when you would rather be with yours. But, wouldn't it feel a little less stressful year to year if you compromised and did every other year? Do the families put alot of pressure on you?

I know it is hard not to. My DS informed me last year that they would be here for Christmas last year and Thanksgiving this year. It breaks my heart - it will be my first Christmas without him - they ARE coming the weekend before, but it's not the same. At the same time, I appreciated him deciding ahead of time and letting me know so I could get used to the idea and to plan accordingly. I know this probably doesn't help, but I was just throwing something out there to think about...:rolleyes1

Whatever you do, have a Happy Thanksgiving and don't eat too much!

Hi everyone. Debbie...awesome pictures! I always wanted to sit there in Pinocchio Village Haus but there was always people in those seats. The parade pictures were nice too. I am not sure if it was on TV here, maybe it was in the Chicago area. I've been thinking of you. I know you'd be stressing about Thanksgiving. I hope it all works out for you. Your Dh has a great idea. Once you get over that hurdle it won't bother you. We used to have Thanksgiving dinner w/ my inlaws and then leave and drive to PA for the 3-4 days weekend. My parents would rather have us for several days then one dinner. Your kids look so cute in those pictures!

Everyone......have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!!!!!!
