Hi Guys!
How's my favorite thread doing????
I am OK. DH and my Dad set up TIVO today, which is very exciting!
Haven't looked at plans or been on the computer much today.
Lisa, MY birthday is not stressful nor is anyone else’s on my side. We just do our own thing but then I do stress over the kids birthday. I hate combining everyone so we end up having like 3 parties for DD. Now that DS will be 2 in October and DD will be 5 in November. I might just combine their birthdays when we celebrate with DH's side. DHs side does a family party almost every month in the fall for someone or another’s birthday.
PAM, I'm glad your DD is better!
Tammie, I heard that if your are in WDW during Gay Days you just avoid the day they are scheduled at each specific park to avoid the crowds and festivities. I found a whole thread on it. They will be in MK on June 2nd and they all wear red shirts! I can send you to that thread if you want.
Maureen...Love your DD story! She is a riot! Glad to see you are still popping in to say HI!

Hey...Have I told you guys about the bow Disfriend I found on Ebay. She makes incredible girls hair bows! You must look! If you do want something just contact her and tell her I sent you! She is actually the one who told me about the DISBOARDS! She is super sweet. I have bought like a billion bows off of her for my Disney trips and for all the holidays.

That time change is going to really kick me in the pants with my DDs already terrible sleep schedule! Yikes!:scared1:  :headache: :sad2:

You are going to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Tivo!! Is this the first time you've had one? I have two of them and ideally I'd like a third (one for me, DH and the girls). The Season Pass is a great feature to record your favorites and with all the favorite shows you have..you need a Tivo! LoL Your friends bows are really cute. I'm lucky if I even get to brush McKenna's hair. She see's the brush and detangler and runs (literally)..the only time she'll even let me put a ponytail or anything else is when we are in WDW and it's really hot. (Her hair is super long.)

Cute Bows Debbie! I also love the little boy's shortall! It would be just the right size for my DGS to be born in May - he will wear that size at 12mo. if he's anything like his daddy.

on TIVO: We have had it since Dec. I'm not so sure I like it, but I do like getting my Oprah! It doesn't go with our cable box, so we can't record one show while we watch another. Also, it randomly changes the channels and starts recording things it thinks we want - we have to frantically find the remote and tell it to stop if we are trying to watch something! It is like a robot!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Speaking of robots - I got one of those Romba vacuums - it is also a robot - it memorizes the room and looks for dirt. It goes under furniture and does pretty well for surface dirt. I got it free with points from my business. Fun!:thumbsup2

Pam, We will definately look for those slushies - thanks!!!!

My DS will be 22 on Apr 4th, and my DHs BD is Apr 10th!

Debbie, I sent you a PM -

Happy Monday everyone!

We usually spend the first evening - maybe a couple of hours - in DTD. It gives us the flavor of Disney and gets us excited to be there without going to the parks. They have that great Disney store, the Christmas Store, and the Lego store for the kids. We don't really do Pleasure Island - we are "good kids." :) You need reservations for Rainforest Cafe, or almost any sit down place there, we found. the # for Rainforest is 407-827-8500. Happy Planning!:thumbsup2

Sounds like fun! Thanks for the #. I don't know if we will go to Rainforest Cafe there since we go a lot here in Chicago, and we haven't been to a lot of other restaurants at Disney.

Debbie - It's good that you have a great b-day at least. One holiday for you to enjoy.

Sewer - Maybe if I don't mention my birthday, people will just forget. And if they remember at the last minute, at least it won't be a big ordeal.

Pam - Well, it looks like DTD it is! Everyone seems to love it. And I love sweets so that Candy Co. sounds great.

Your DH's B-day is April 3rd too? :thumbsup2 Where I used to work, there were three April birthdays. They always bought cake for birthdays so we ate like pigs that month.:guilty:

Hi Guys,
Just a quick fly by...
I have had a busy day today and then again tomorrow.
The wetaher is WONDERFUL here today. Oh it makes for a good mood.
Pam ......I hope your DD is better.
I love my TIVO!!!!
Tammie....I PMed ya back!
You know all the TIVO things you are describing all can be fixed by changing settings. You will enjoy it much more!

Lisa...How is everyone doing on your end??? We will make it out to Yorktown soon. Let me look at the calendar!

Hi Everyone else!!!

The weather is so great today..but we are not going to play outside today. I thought DD was getting better, but she has gotten worse. She's has a fever since Friday (thought it cleared up Sat., but it seems to come back at night). She is wheezing and a constant runny nose. It's a virus, but her cough just seemed off to me. I took her in to her pediatrician today and glad I did. She's got an ear infection and she's got a wheezy cough. So we had to get her Flovent and Proventil. Getting her to do the inhaler should be interesting. She's hardly had anything to eat since Friday..as soon as we got home from the Dr. she sat on the couch and fell asleep. Poor baby...her nose and cheekies are sooo red.

Hi Everyone...
Looks like the sick kiddies saga includes my DS too. Pam, my son's symptoms sounds just like your DD - fever, runny nose, and a wheezy cough. His pediatrician told me to continue the Motrin and put him back on the nebulizer. And to wait it out... He's been sleeping a lot, which is good. I just want him healthy for our trip next week... Ha, with my luck - DS will share his germs with DH, and then DH will be sick for our trip (typical worry-wart thinking). :worried: I've been pumping DH with Airborne (and obsessive about hand-washing), so let's hope that will do the trick.

I'm almost done packing - Just one more load to wash, and I should be done. :laundy: I called this morning to make two PS (at DL, it's still called Priority Seating) - one for lunch at the Blue Bayou, and another for the character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. We're not staying on-site, but staying at the Sheraton Anaheim on Starwood Points. :thumbsup2

Last night we watched Peter Pan (DVD) and he told me "Mom, this is reminds me of Disneyland." Little does he know we'll be there in one week !!!! :yay: :yay:

Hope everyone is doing well and here's some PD pixiedust: for the sick kiddies... Aloha -keahi

I feel so bad the kiddies are so sick! I hope they get better fast!

Pam I have Asthma. I was on Flovent. So far DD is OK.
STILL love TIVO!

Ahibird...ONE WEEK!!! How exciting! Don't worry all your illiness will be over by then! Hang in there!

We have been doing great because it was actually 75 degrees here today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was incredible. My mood is 100% better, I eat less, I eat better and I get more done! I love it!

Couple diversions...
One ......DH got selected for a trial (jury duty) which means no pay until he finishes
and TWO....DD has been going to the bathroom a ton lately. It's been going on a few weeks now and I took her to the dotor and they said NO bladder infection. Now what? I go from thinking it's nothing to thinking she has diabetes!!
Any thoughts?

Ahibird..sorry your little guy is sick too. Hope everyone is well for your trip!
You used a nebulizer..how can I get my DD to take the inhalers and actually get any medicine from it?

Debbie...I also have asthma (it's rather mild..I don't take something every day..just have a rescuer..Maxair) We tried giving it to her w/o the spacer, but as soon as we squirted the medicine in she blew it back out. Any suggestions on how to get her to take it? When you took your DD to the Dr. did he have you do a urine test? Maybe it's the beginning of one and there aren't any cells to detect yet. SHe is prone to having them if she's already had one. I could always tell when DD had one because I'd be in the bathroom when she had her first morning pee and I could smell it, but I'd only smell it with the first one because it was real strong. I think with Diabetes..she'd probably be peeing during the night too..is she doing that?

Hi everyone! Ahibird and Pam, I'm sorry your kiddies are sick. Sounds like some nasty stuff! My DGS and my Mom came down with the virus that my DH just got over. Fever, head cold, nasty cough. They have both lowst their voices. They are on the downside, I think.

Debbie, along with Pam, I think your DD would also be very thirsty - that prompts alot of drinking, which prompts the peeing. Has she been drinking more because her throat is sore, perhaps? Just a thought. PD to her also!pixiedust:

I feel so bad for you guys that the kids are so sick. Especially w/asthma. I never know when to take my DD to the doctor. I take her everytime she is not sleeping right, crying in the middle of the night, or has a little cold for a while. She has only needed to be there once in the many visits I've been there. Hope they get better soon.
Debbie - I couldn't watch tv w/out TIVO. Even if DD is good during a show, there is always something she will need during it. I feel like a better mom, too. I can pause it if she really needs attention. That is what is nice about the DIS, too. I am going to put this on hold right now so I can play w/DD.
Talk to you guys later.

Thank you everyone for your kind get well thoughts. It's all greatly appreciated...

I'm beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel... DS slept through the night - fever's just about gone, but he's still got that yucky cough that sounds like he's coughing up a lung. At least now he can start coughing up and spitting out all the "nasties" in his chest. DS has asthma, but we've never had a problem with him using the nebulizer or inhaler (with spacer). (Sorry, Pam, I'm no help.) I think once DS made the connection that the inhaler made it easier for him to breath, he never fussed about using it. In fact, sometimes I worry that he likes the "buzz" he gets from the treatments a little too much... ;)

Six days to go... Still tweaking plans, still packing and re-packing, still second-guessing about the crowds, etc... You know - WORRYING

Oh how we know the worring Ahibird!!!!

How's everyone doing!!
First off..who got the Roomba?? I LOVE my Roomba but even more my SCOOBA! I am telling you the thing is the most amazing little miracle ever!

Next, onto my CROCS...

I forgot to tell you guys that I bought DD and myself a pair at Norstroms!! The best news was I had to return a gift there so I had a credit!!! Plus...I have a huge size 10 W foot so when I put the Crocs on I felt like I was wearing boats ...literally! I am very self consious about my feet looking big so it was a NO GO! BUT....on the other side they had the Mary Jane style and they looked a 100 times better on me so I bought them. Even though they aren't Disney like my DDs are I just figured I would get those cute little Disney jibbitz for them.. Which leads me to a Question??? Where is the best place to get those??
Another thing I ponder...why are people buying their Crocs on Ebay for top dollar when you can buy them at places like Norstroms and Hallmark or even on-line for regular price???

Hope everyones kiddies are getting better and better!!!!

I actually returned my Roomba. At first I thought it was awesome, but it holds so little and I got tired of constantly emptying it and I am allergic to dust. So I just use the broom and a hand vac, the microfiber duster w/ a long pole for under the couch and entertainment center. Dh does it most of the time. Being in the woods, having a dog, 2 kids, etc. my floors always have something on it. But the Roomba is great, it just wasn't what I thought it was...a maid. Now one of those I really need. :o)

Hey...Debbie.....you are not the only one with a size 10W foot! I can't believe we have the same shoe size, too! I just bought a pair of Crocs (I'm not fond of the look that much. Have you checked out www.shoebuy.com? I got mine there and if you regiater on their site you get, I think $10off and there's also a savings code. I'll look at my receipt and PM you with the codes. I was going to get the Jibbitz too...the Mickey Hands and Mickey Hats. I only plan on wearing them at WDW. Jibbitz.com is pretty much the only place I saw them and any other places were the same as Jibbitz. Dicks Sporting goods has them too. I'll get back to you in a minute.

Pam...and others who care....
I forgot to tell you about Gymboree!!!
Gymbuck redemtion starts tomorrow!!!!!
My Gymboree store let me go in today and put my stuff on hold until I get it tomorrow!!
The new line is to die for!!!! I picked out so much and I love one piece more then the next!!!!!
Let me now how it goes for you guys!
