I have to say ya'll are making me feel warm with our 32 weather. I wish we could at least get some snow if it is going to be this cold. Worry for today, dd has strep and now my throat is starting to hurt, but I have crap for insurance and don't want to go to the doc.

Don't you think by now they would have do it yourself strep tests!!!

Hi there!

Been M.I.A. for a few days. We took a weekend trip looking at model homes in Winchester, VA. I don't know what we're doing yet. Too many choices and decisions and I just don't know what to do.

Debbie and Lisa...sorry your Bears didn't win. You ladies are seeing some serious frigid weather!

Hi everyone -- I guess I shouldn't comment that the weather here in Hawaii is currently sunny and in the high 70's. ...and that it "dipped" into the 50's last night, and my family complained about how cold it was. I'll admit it, when it comes to the cold - we're a bunch of wimps.

You guys make me feel great about myself. My trip is in June and my family is annoyed because I want to make restaurant reservations already. I have the whole thing figured out if they will just listen to me and do as they are told...LOL.

We are traveling with my in-laws and she makes me crazy becasue she is a spur of the moment person.

I am already having nightmares about the problems...

...car breaks down
...child gets lost
...son screams and won't ride anything

Nice to be among others like myself

I would love it if it were 40 degrees or above right now. You don't realize how warm 40 is until you hit 0. Well, I can't complain to much today. I stayed in the whole day. But tomorrow I have to get groceries. Luckily, I think they said the wind chill won't be that bad.
Debbie - I didn't get a video camera yet. We are looking at the Panasonic PVG320. I think that is the number. DH wants it to be good in low light and that one has 3CCD's, or something like that. I said let's just save our money and buy the cheapest one since we may need a new tv soon, too. Everything in our house is about 7 to 10 years old and starting to break.
Pam - Are you moving? Or just thinking about it? Good luck.
Did you guys hear about the Pirates of the Caribbean Adventure on the Seven Seas Lagoon? There are supposed to be some special guests and I was wondering if anyone knew who they would be. That is the week we will be there but I am not spending $199 to $2300 for tickets. It sounded cool though.

Hi...I wish that very same thing on a daily basis! No one ever wants to listen and do what they are told, but when you give them the chance to do it on their own..they come running back looking for help.

Lisa...Hi..how are you? I don't really know what we're doing yet. I need to sqeeze by 1 more year until my DD goes to Kindergarten and then I can go back to work FT. My oldest will be middle school next year and there's no after school care for her and she's afraid to be at home by herself for an hour and she's not quite mature enough. I'd really hate to move. I have a great house (although it's really big for us and I hate cleaning!), great big yard, the best school district in the area and just an overall great area. I really scoped this area out for a few years before we built it. It's rare that everything all comes together that way. Once my youngest is in Kindergarten she can go to their B/A care program..and it's cheaper ($340 vs $560/mo). I hope to get this settled in the next month or so. I am really worrying about this. I just don't want to move.

I agree with Lisa, the winter depresses me. I think that Feb and March are the worst months of the year. I think that my DD inherited my dislike of the winter. Almost every day she tells me that she hates the winter b/c she can't go outside and play. Its only been one week since I've been back from Florida and already its a distant memory. I will try to look at the bright side of the cold weather...I hope that it we be slow at work tomorrow b/c people won't want to venture outside!

I have a vent about my FIL. I emailed him a link to my Photopass pictures and told him that I will buy a CD and give him a copy that he can take to any store that has a photo machine to get prints.

His reply...don't send me a CD, I don't know what to do with it. Two people (apparently DH and I) told me that they would show me to get get pictures from a CD in 2005 and they never did. I don't want a CD. So, in my attempt to stand up to him, I emailed back that he can just purchase prints off the website. Of course, he replied that wouldn't work b/c it would cost $900+ to get all the prints. Why would he need all the prints?

He only asked us once to show him and never reminded me that he wanted to learn how to print pics. One more thing. He complained to my BIL that he didn't get to see Hall of Presidents. The man is impossible to please. HofP is one of only two attractions we didn't do in MK. I think that is pretty impressive with 3 small kids in tow, but I guess he doesn't.

Oh well off to do more It seems like the kids have been going through at least two outfits a day lately. Its impossible to keep up. Sorry to complain so much, but I am so cranky!

Jacklyn...I meant to ask, how is your throat feeling? Could you try to call your MD and tell him dd has strep and could they call something in for you? Amoxicillin usually works (unless you are allergic) and it is cheap, too.

It is totally the right thing to do - making your ressies! I have read over and over on the boards how people can't get tables at restaurants when they want to, or you have to wait an hour for a table - come On! We need to get back to the rides Those of us who like to plan do so because we want the "perfect trip." We don't want to be the one writing the TR about how we tried to eat here and we tried to eat there! I'll bet when you get all of the planning done and carry it out they will all love you for it! My DH doesn't question it anymore.

This is so true! Your family will be grateful that you did all the planning in June when the trips runs smoothly because you planned ahead. I've learned from experience, its no fun to be stuck in WDW with no meal options except counter service.

Its so stressful being a planner, isn't it? Our families don't ever seem to understand the stress of it, but they certainly do benefit from it!

Throat is about the same and yes, I am allergic to all cillins and sulfa. So it limits what I can take. I am fortunate that our Doc is an old family friend and probably would call something in, but I hate to take something unless I really need it. Your body can build immunity to drugs and because I am so limited, I hate to risk building immunity to the few things I can take. As usual I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Pam..we have moved 9 times in 8 years, so I know what you mean. We just built our dream home and hopefully we will not be moving for some time to come though, DH is a real estate agent so I doubt this will be it for us.

We are getting that cold spell here right now as well, although not as cold as some of you. This morning it was in the single digits and that is rare for our part of VA. I did convince DH to take his Mom to the docotor today instead of me so that is one less thing to stress about! Yeah me!
