Debbie, I thought it was cold here - teens at night, but I guess the sun came out and it was 40ish. Hope you warm up soon! I have been waiting all day for a TA to email me about the Western cruise we want to take Sep 2008. I guess she is busy looking up the Repos and Mexican Riveria cruises for everyone today. We can wait until tomorrow.

Otherwise, just so busy - appt. last night, watched my GS this am, work this pm, and then I need to plan a training tonight. Same routine tomorrow, but I am doing the presentation tomorrow night at a meeting. Then I guess I had better get my house cleaned for our Superbowl Party!

Thanks for the b-day wishes. Yes, it is today. I am so excited for Saturday, though. DH got us tickets to see Mary Poppins on Broadway for my bday and he is going to have a limo pick us up to take us there. I can't even remember the last time we had a real date. I think it has to at least be two years ago, before my son was born. I think that this is his reward for me for dealing with BIL and FIL all week.

I don't know how to view the thread rating, but I did go and vote and rated it "excellent" (of course!)

I love everyone's new siggie pics! I am going to try to post pics tonight while DH is getting the kids to bed.

Lisa..I loved the story about the camera and your grandmom. I had a guy standing next to me during the parade and he practically had his camera on my shoulder. I was surprised that there were so many tour groups there. Last Jan we didnt see any. I know July is their peak time to be there. They bothered me the first day or two, but then I just tried to ignore them. You must be getting so excited about your trip!

Jaclyn...I am so glad that you were able to change your trip. I think it is so much better to avoid the crowds if possible. I have already been thinking about our vacations when the kids get to be schoolage and I have decided that I would definitely take them our of school to go to WDW. Of course, I haven't yet informed my DH.

Pam...We saw the magician and Carlo at the BW. We didn't hang out on the BW until Thurs night, but I wished we had done it sooner. The performers are great. My sister went to WDW in 2004 and she still remembers Carlo. She said he came over to her family and did a show just for them. I have been married for over 6 years and I am just starting to stand up to my FIL. He is a total bully and wants everything his way. Someone needs to put him in his place. I refuse to let him tell me how to raise my children.

I did a search and I am pretty sure all the thread rating does is..when someone does a search for a topic or whatever the higher rated one will be first on the search results list. It's not much of an active function really. I just found out there were buddy lists. I added you guys to mine.

tnklvr- I understand how tough in laws can be. DH is an only child and we have been my MIL primary caregiver for the last 3 years. She has lots of health issues but on top of it all she is bipolar. She lived with us for awhile right after my FIL passed away but it was just to much. She can become very abusive and it was not a healthy enviroment for our family at all. She lives in a townhouse not far from us and I still have to see her everyday. We have good days and bad days. The problem is that my FIL and DH just let her act anyway she wanted because it was eaiser than trying to confront her or control her behavior and I am not that way. Especially when it comes to my kids. So needless to say it has been really hard, but we are finally(by the grace of God) getting to a good place in our lives with her. It just takes patience and lots of prayers. I am sending lots of your way!

I am sure that we do not get cold like you do in Chicago, but this morning at the bus stop it was like 22 and the wind was like 20mph, it was freezing and of course the bus didn't even show up! I feel for you guys!

We didn't get much snow up here in Fredericksburg. We're supposed to get some freezing rain though tonight.

Hey, Debbie! I know what you mean, but you didn't mean any harm by it. I thought it was cute and original. I'd keep it on there and just say you didn't mean anything bad by it. It seems no matter what a person says or does..somebody will always find a reason to be offended. What other kind of storm hits Florida anyway?? You couldn't use a snowstorm picture because they don't get snow. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Being a person who lives in an area that has taken some major beatings from hurricanes, I would say it is no big deal. People can be so uptight! I thought it was cute.

Hi sewer..haven't heard from you in awhile. I'm in Fredericksburg, VA not Ohio, but if you lived here I could sure use your help!

It's been about 5 years since I was in VA, I had rented a house in the Sandbridge area by the beach , and to tell ya the truth... I sure do miss it. I'll have to get myself on photobucket, and post a few pictures of the snow we've had around here lately.
