Debbie - Love the new pics. That's the great thing about digital, you can keep snapping away.

For anyone who may have been confused on one of my posts the other day, my DH is not autistic. It is my nephew. I don't always read what I wrote. Anyways, thanks Debbie for telling me about that.:thumbsup2

Hiya all,

Well, who says you American folks don't do irony - Debbie glad you and yours had loads of fun at a WATER park. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Our water problems are receding thankfully. Less floods - the forecast was for another biggie, but it was less then expected, though still a worry.

We are still without any mains water supply at all, the army and water board are shipping in bottled water and water for the bowsers on the street corners, but we are keeping our hopes up that we will be supplied on the mains again next Friday (another 7 days...)- they have to clean out the treatment works, flush the pipes, sterilise the pipes and build up pressure again gradually.

Mum goes home tomorrow - we take her to the airport past the main flood area, so fingers crossed for no more rain - SHE IS DEFINITELY GOING HOME, EVEN IF I HAVE TO SHIP HER IN A CRATE!!!! - that she is not one of life's optimists is the easiest way to put it.... I'm surprised we haven't had to go to the hospital with a panic attack... Still, she'll have plenty to talk about for quite some time, and I think we've done well to entertain her despite the problems - went to the zoo today a bit further south - it was sunny all day and it did lift our spirits.

The kids don't mind - they are seeing it as an opportunity not to wash - "We need to save water mummy"!! Though when we went for fuel my littlest was surprised that the car wash wasn't going - she likes the swishing sound.....and just didn't realise it needed water... need to educate the kids on the importance of water in our lives I suppose..

Anyhow, good to see all of your news - new baby:hug:, trips to WDW :cheer2:, days out - those photos were sooo cute. I am soooo glad we still have internet access, I would go nuts otherwise..

Bye for now,
Tessa

:lmao: Had enough, have you? Glad to hear things are getting better there. It's pretty dry here in the MId Atlantic. Some places are calling for voluntary conservation-so we are having the opposite problem.

Debbie & Lisa...was that actually Miley Cyrus there? My DD11 loves her. I just got her this $9.00 magazine of just Miley Cyrus with tons of posters in it. It would be awesome if we could all get together for a week or a long weekend or something. I know it's do-able..it's just a matter of when and where, kids or no kids, etc. It would need some far in advance planning probably. I don't have a lot of girl friends..as most of my friends are guys and maybe just a few women. I always worked around men and we just get along better. But I really think the world of you gals! That goes for everyone here.

No, it was her best friend and brother. Nice kids. Fortuntately DD is too young to know about autographs! The line was a mile long for that!

Hey, if you came to chicago in the summer we could do lots of stuff! I guess if you come here anytime we can have fun doing something! Is airfare bad to Chicago (or as bad as Florida)?

Hi everyone! Great pics Deb and Lisa! Glad you had a great time! Tessa, I'm glad things are getting better. Pam, have a great trip!

I will catch up later - have had a busy grandma week - heading out to the lake to see the other baby tomorrow, but I didn't want to keep you in suspense! Here is our precious little girl and some pics of the bedding I worked so hard on. Note in the pic with the curtains, she already has her first princess pin lanyard! Have a great weekend!

Super cute pictures of everyone!

We haven't had any more breakouts so Yeah!!! :cool1:

But now, my MIL is coming in 2 weeks...super short notice, totally unexpected! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

She makes me a nervouse wreck! DH is totally a Momma's boy and we've never just spent time with her, cuz she lives 24 hour drive away....there is always other family around....like his sister, aunts, cousins, grandma, etc...she's never just come to our place to stay. Should be very interresting!

Tammie, what a cute baby. And that bedding and curtains are beautiful. I haven't even seen curtains that nice at the department stores. Thanks for putting up the pics.

Tidoublegerr - Hope all goes well. My MIL is nice but I don't know if anyone is 100% comfortable w/their MIL.

Tessa - I didn't realize how bad it can get in other areas of the world. We have never had problems w/getting water like that. The worst was when we couldn't water our lawns for too long. I am so sorry for you. You sound like you are a strong person though because of it. We have to be for the kid's sake, don't we.

Pam - It would be cool if you came to Chicago or even better if all of us went to Disneyworld at the same time. I do think we will be going to Virginia w/in the next few years so if we do I will tell you & Maureen.

I finally made some time for some pics of my trip, two months later.

CRT breakfast - our too cool view. I think this was the best morning of our trip. Everything went perfect.

Cute pics, Lisa! You're making me want another ticker!!

Thanks for the comments on the bedding. As long as you don't look close at the troubles I had with the stitching all of those layers of ruffles and ribbon, it is okay. I really like it from a distance :goodvibes my DIL is very happy with it, so I'm glad for that!

Our Londynn had to go back into the hospital on Saturday - her bilirubin was up to 17 - (jaundice) on the 4th day. It peaks on the 5th day, and can cause brain damage over 20, so they put her under those lights for about 24 hours to prevent that. She came home last night quite a bit less yellow :) She had another test today and is holding her own. She should be fine now.

Tammie - I feel sorry for the parents, even though everything was taken care of. I know how worried I was in the first weeks after my DD was born.

Hi everyone!! How's it going?

Second year of Girl Scout camp, first whole week at camp!!!! She will be devastated! Please help me wich it's not the Pox!!!!!FONT]

TidoubleGerrr - so, it wasn't the Chicken Pox? That's a good thing! We're Girl Scouts at our house, too. DD14's troop isn't as active as they used to be, but we still get together about once a month during the school year. She can still go to camp, can't she?

Here's some more pix..I hope you guys don't mind....

Debbie - Your pics are great! Your kids are cuties! :cutie: :cutie:

Lisa - Your DD is a cutie! Who is that "extra" little girl in the picture of all of you?

Lisa - Those are great WDW pics! I can't believe you ate the kitchen sink! That looks so yummy! I need to try one of those coffees. Yum.:surfweb:

Our water problems are receding thankfully. Less floods - the forecast was for another biggie, but it was less then expected, though still a worry.

Tessa - I hope that things are still going better for you all.

Mum goes home tomorrow - we take her to the airport past the main flood area, so fingers crossed for no more rain - SHE IS DEFINITELY GOING HOME, EVEN IF I HAVE TO SHIP HER IN A CRATE!!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

The kids don't mind - they are seeing it as an opportunity not to wash

:lmao: :rotfl2: I can totally relate to that. Sounds like my DD9.

But I really think the world of you gals! That goes for everyone here.

:grouphug: Me, too!!

Here is our precious little girl and some pics of the bedding I worked so hard on. Note in the pic with the curtains, she already has her first princess pin lanyard!

Your DG is soooo cute, Tammie! :cloud9: Thanks for sharing the pics. The bedding and curtains are beautiful. What a girlie room! princess: I love it! Again, your DS and DIL are very lucky to have you! Bedding and curtains are not cheap, and how special that you made them!

But now, my MIL is coming in 2 weeks...super short notice, totally unexpected! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

:rotfl2: :lmao: I get along with my DM and MIL extremely well, but am glad that they live close enough to visit so that they don't have to sleep for days at my house. The girls and I stay at my parents house for a few days to a week at a time when my grandma comes to visit, and it is a little tense after a day or two.:scared:

Our Londynn had to go back into the hospital on Saturday - her bilirubin was up to 17 - (jaundice) on the 4th day. It peaks on the 5th day, and can cause brain damage over 20, so they put her under those lights for about 24 hours to prevent that. She came home last night quite a bit less yellow :) She had another test today and is holding her own. She should be fine now.

Tammie - I hope that things are continuing to go well for your little Londynn.:cutie:

Well, our trip to Branson was great! The drive thru Arkansas and Missouri was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It makes me wonder why we live in Texas. Sometimes I think that I could sell our home and RV (it would have to be a very nice RV) when we retire. We met some people there that do that. It sounds like a very interesting lifestyle. We stopped at the Bass Pro in Springfield, MO and spent 4 hrs. there before we headed home. They have an awesome wildlife museum. We didn't get home until 11:30pm. I still have things to put away, but we'll do a little bit each night this week. DH did most of theunpacking and laundry today. I think I will keep him!

'Night all!
Pam2

Hi Everyone! How are things?

Lisa: Cute Pics! Thanks for sharing!
TidoubleGerr: Yikes! :scared1: Hope your DD doesn't have the pox!
Tessa: Hope Mum got off okay! Are you drying out yet?
Pam2: Glad you had a nice trip! Thanks for admiring my DGD with me!

Londynn did well last night - she was down to a 13 last night, back up to 14 today, but the doc expects it to go down from here, so she is fine! They were happy to get their little family back together and try to get in to their routine!

Pam, Sewer, Maureen, Debbie, Keahi! :grouphug:

thanks everyone! Thank goodness it wasn't the pox...or if it was it never broke out again so off to camp she went yesterday! Now I miss her! But now I'm sick so off to bed I go!

How on earth do you quote everyone individuall in one post??? Wanna reply but think I'll sound like an idiot!
Glad the baby's doing good though.

Hiya all,

What cute baby pics - hope she is ok now....

Thanks for all the messages of support from you lot again - really helps me not feel so alone in all this water thing....

The update so far STILL NO RUNNING WATER!!! Was supposed to be on this morning - just for flushing and washing, not drinking, but no luck - hey ho....
At least mum flew home (hubby says "on her broomstick" :lmao: ) - she's lovely really, just not someone you need around in a crisis if you know what I mean.

The sun is shining now, and set to stay that way for a while thankfully - but that means it's going to evaporate our outdoor stored "grey" water for flushing etc, so a mixed blessing!!

Well, it has all made me rethink my worry wart status (still a control freak of course;) ) - I think getting through this stuff makes you fret about the small stuff a LOT less - who gives a whatever about how much hand baggage I can take for the kids etc.... some friends have just set off to WDW with their luggage of DIRTY LAUNDRY and mostly empty suitcases to buy Tshirts etc cheap over there as they have not many clean clothes left!!! (wouldn't like to be next to them on the plane....:scared: ).

So things are getting better, but still not back to normal - BOY am I going to celebrate when we get CLEAN water (or ANY WATER) flowing through those taps (fawcetts??)

LOVE all the pics everyone is posting - can't wait to get there myself, will probably start complaining about the heat when we do though - never happy huh? April seems a long way offf....

Cheers,
Tessa

Lisa, thanks for the pictures! You have a cute family. You got the kitchen sink?! :scared1: :rotfl2: If we got that we'd probably eat all the gooey stuff and leave the ice cream or have to suck it up with straw by the time we got to it. No more regular ice cream for me though. :sad1: Did they ring a bell when it was delivered?

Tammie, what an adorable baby. Thanks for the pics.

Tdoublegrrr...glad to hear it wasn't the chickenpox!

Pam2: sounds like you had a nice time. I'm already ready for another vacation!

Debbie.....how have you been?

My DDs are sleeping over my MILs house this weekend. FIanlyy...alone time with my DH. We don't have a babysitter so this never happens. Once or twice a year we go out alone. We jokingly call it our Bi-Annual date. So we're going to dinner and to see The Bourne Ultimatium. I'm not normally a MAtt Damon fan, but there's something about him in these Bourne movies that is totally super appealing to me!

I also wanted to apologize for not being around as often. About 2 weeks ago I found out I have Type 2 diabetes (parents both died from complications of it). So I've been going through a range of emotions and I don't really want to talk much about it. My sister doesn't even know yet. So I am re-learning some things about diet, meds, etc. I am on the go alot so that isn't very helpful. I also need to get my rear end away from the computer and exercise a little more. I will pop in from time to time until I get a little more educated and get my blood sugars under control. My Sweet Tooth is in denial. It's like any other diet except there's more serious complications if you continue to cheat. So I am at that Devil on one shoulder/Angel on the other shoulder stage. They are constantly battling each other over that piece of cake. (Sigh....make mine Fat Free/Sugar Free, please! Ans Starbucks....forgidda 'bout it!)

Pam, I am so sorry about the diabetes. I am addicted to sugar foods and I get really low an hour after eating sugary foods. I should cut down on my sugar too. Good luck. I heard that Disney has a lot of good desserts w/no sugar. Have you ever tried them? I wonder how they taste.

Sorry about the pic of the kitchen sink. They did ring a bell. The people next to us had one already and warned us that they were sick. One lady told us that all the good stuff was in the bottom, the stuff you said you would have eaten first. Yes, I did the same thing. I have to admit I don't think I would get that again. It was good, but too mixed up w/some things that I wouldn't normally eat together.

Thanks, Lisa. It's totally ok though. I have to look at stuff I'd like to eat, but can't anymore everyday in my pantry. I had Gestational Diabetes 4 years ago while I was pregnant w/ my youngest so I have done this before. I'm just wallowing in self pity lately. I have to hold myself accountable. I am thankful that it wasn't anything more serious.

Tammie - Yea!! I am so glad. What's a routine? Just kidding. It's their first, isn't it? Your other son has 2 boys? What fun having babies around. Ours (my neice or nephew) will be here at the end of January.:yay:

But now I'm sick so off to bed I go!

TidoubleGerrr, I hope that you are feeling better!:flower3:

How on earth do you quote everyone individuall in one post??? Wanna reply but think I'll sound like an idiot!

To quote one message, you just click on Quote at the bottom right of their message, then click on Reply at the top left. To quote multiple messages, you click on the center icon at the bottom right - the quotation marks and plus sign, of each message you want to quote in your reply. Then, you just delete what you want to from their message so you don't have to quote the whole thing. It gets trickier when you want to quote multiple parts of a message. You have to make sure that something like this:
is in front of what you're quoting (you'll have to copy it and paste it), then the word QUOTE with [/ in front of it, and ] at the end of it is at the end of what you're quoting (and you'll have to copy it and paste it, too. I hope that this makes sense.

The sun is shining now, and set to stay that way for a while thankfully

Tessa - I hope that the sun continues to shine for you, and that things get better.

I think getting through this stuff makes you fret about the small stuff a LOT less - who gives a whatever about how much hand baggage I can take for the kids etc....

I believe that you are right about that!! Most of us don't know what it is like "to have it hard" or experience tough times.

Ithose taps (fawcetts??)

:lmao: Yep! That's what we have. What do you all call pottys/toilets/cans..., loos?

April seems a long way offf....

Tomorrow is AUGUST! Can you all believe it? I think that April will be here before you know it.::MickeyMo

we're going to dinner and to see The Bourne Ultimatium.

Pam - Enjoy your date!!!!!

I am sorry to hear about your illness. That must be awful, but you can do it. Life is too good, and your family needs you, so you HAVE to take care of yourself and get it under control. You can do it!! It won't be easy, but us women are strong creatures, and if we set our minds to it, I think that we can do anything, especially for our family and our kids, and you can do it! I don't know anything about it, but if it is something you can control, just be thankful that it is not something that you can't control. YOU CAN DO IT! Life is too precious. Tell that devil on your shoulder to SCRAM! Hugs and strength to you!

Hi to everyone!:hippie: I am too tired to type everyone's name tonight. You know who you are!
