Thanks for the happy birthdays! :grouphug: If you all had to choose, which dinner show at Disney would you pick; Hoop Dee Doo Review or the Aloha Dinner Show? :confused3

I'd pick the Hoop De Doo because we haven't done that yet. We've done the Spirit of Aloha 2x, I also saw it when I was much younger and went to a luau when we were in Hawaii..so I am Luau-ed out. It's a great show if you haven't been before.

Hi everyone! Not sure where I've been:confused3 Maybe in Margaritaville:beach:

Welcome Belle and Kowalchicky! Have Fun planning and worrying with us - we can usually come up with something:upsidedow Can anyone tell I am lovin' the new "faces?"

:bday: party: :bday: party: SEWER!!!!!

Debbie, I think at one time I saw some "Silver" packages or something for Disney trips (maybe a year ago?) Where you could book your room and tickets with one meal a day if you wanted to. Maybe that is what she is thinking of.:scratchin

Pam, I just finished going over all of my ADRs again last night, and planning our days on the WDW website, just to get an idea if we can get everything done and when to leave for dinner, etc. etc. I also had to check and see which parks have EMH on the days we are planning to visit them. I have two thoughts about that - either stay away on those days, as it will be crowded, or take advantage of those days, and get some things done early! What do you all think?

MY VOTE: I choose Hoop De Doo, because we haven't done it yet, and we have done the Spirit

Hope everyone has a great week! Our snow is melting today - maybe we will get Spring, now!

Tammie

Don't want to just but in, BUT hee, Hee the silver package came with two wishes a day that you caould use for meals. It did not have meals specifically assigned to it. It ended with the new magic your way package started.

I'd have to say the Hoop Dee Doo Review.....That dinner show is probably the highlight of every trip we've ever taken to Disney....The kids laugh hysterically the entire night....we love it.

I always worry about:

1.What if there is traffic on the way to the airport and we miss the plane.
2.I always panic that the kids will come down with one thing or another
3.Will something happen at home when we are gone ( house, family members )
4.Will our reservation be in the computer when we get DISNEY
5.Weather
6.We are going on our first disney cruise...so now I'm really in a panic...what if this, what if that....What if the sea is to rough for my kids, what if they hate that they can't see land and panic, what if it's to crowded....
7. The list goes on and on.....
8. I almost forgot.....I'm always nervous that we will lose our hopper passes

Are you my twin? 2,3,5,8 apply. Wew heading out the night before so we cant miss the plane. OMG how are we getting to the airport? My moms driving back and we will be carless. Do taxis run at 5 am? Where do we get one? OMG are they safe in milukeee? FREAK OUT!!!

BELLE...feel free....we all just talk openly here. Welcome..by the way. Same to you Kowlicky! :grouphug:

I PM-ed Debbie with some info I found on the Premium Pkg Dining Plan thingy.

This is what I found:

Hey everyone, I think I may have some info to help a few of you out. My DF and I are doing the Platinum plan for our honeymoon. Basically, the platinum and premium plans are the same execpt w/ the platinum you must stay at a Deluxe and it includes V&As, Room Service and Spa Treatments and also includes a snack (extra meal per day). So, the premium plan has three meals per night in which you can use pretty much anywhere (no credits like the reg dining plan, so you can eat breakfast at Chef Mickeys, lunch at the Coral Reef and dinner at the California Grill...though I commend anyone that can eat all of that ). The good thing about the platinum and premium plans IMO is that they include all of the downtown disney restaurants, ie. Fultons, House of Blues, Portobello Yachtclub..I find this great bc I always wanted to try these restaurants but they are a little bit pricey OOP. Anyway I hope this helps some. If anyone would like, my wonderful AAA TA sent me the official brochure for the 06 Platinum Package and I will gladly email it to anyone that wants. It is practically the same as the premium except for the few things I mentioned earlier. Also, I don't think that you can get this plan with DVC, because it seems to only come as a Disney MYW package and I don't think that you can just add it on to a Room only or to DVC.

TAMMIE...hey!!! How have you been?!!:) The EMH are really great in the morning. It's not quite as hot and if you can get there like 15-30 mins. earlier than rope drop you'll get through security, etc. and be ready to hit whatever rides you want. You can get a good amount done in that hour if you plan ahead. I never make it to EMH in the evening...we're too tired..maybe one of these years. This year I vow to take a mid day break during our MK day and let my youngest take a nap and a swim and then head back out. I can't wait to go!!!

Thanks Pam! My DSIS says her kids are early risers, so the EMH in the am will be great - I don't think we'll make the late ones, either. I was planning on the nap thing, but then I couldn't figure out how to get all of the activities in, get to dinner for ADRs and still make it an early night for the kids. I guess I'll let my DSIS decide which would be better for the kids. I like the nap idea - grandmas need naps, you know ;)

Sorry I haven't been on a lot lately. DD and I had colds, mine is still lingering, and her schedule is way off. I am moving her forward since I am still not feeling that well. The lack of sleep would kill me.
Welcome Kowalchicky and Belle! I keep changing my plans for vac. based upon how much money we will have in the bank at the time. So far we will be eating at a lot of CS. That is ok though. We are used to it. And we already paid for the castle so we will have so much fun there.
My favorite shows are Gilmore Girls, Nip Tuck, Survivor, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, Las Vegas, The Amazing Race, and Rescue Me. I like the comedies the best but the others are so good I can't help but watch them.
I'll try to write again later. My dd is slaphappy. She needs a nap.

You're quite welcome, Tammie. What we did last year was first get a Fast Pass and then rode a ride like Dumbo (one that doesn't have Fast Pass) and did that most of the day. How old are your grandkids?

Lisa....Awwwhhh..sorry you are all under the weather. I know how that's like when you're all sick at the same time. It seems to always happen like that for us. My 3.5 yo DD was all over the place yesterday because she missed her naps both Saturday & Sunday (which was my fault). I won't do that again! Hope you all feel better soon!

BTW, Glad to see someone else likes Nip/Tuck.

Thanks for the happy birthdays! :grouphug: If you all had to choose, which dinner show at Disney would you pick; Hoop Dee Doo Review or the Aloha Dinner Show? :confused3
Like the others I personally would pick the HDR BUT that's because we always to the Aloha Dinner Show. So...if you haven't been to either I think you should go by the age of your kids. If they are older I would pick HDR. I forgot how old your kids are???? The Aloha Dinner Show used to have a kids character one and I am really bummed they took it away and we never saw it. The current one is alot like a real Luau.

Tammie,
I agree that the EMH are less crowded but we never can handle the PM ones. I am so pooped at night! I always feel bad because my DH would love to go whoop it up somewhere but I can't keep my eyes open!

Don't want to just but in, BUT hee, Hee the silver package came with two wishes a day that you caould use for meals. It did not have meals specifically assigned to it. It ended with the new magic your way package started.
Yeah...we talked about how that's what she used to do (wishes). I just have this feeling she's mistaken and I would hate for her to not get what she wants.

Please butt in...we are happy to have you here!

Good to see you back!
Sorry you are feeling under the weather again. Maybe you guys will do better once Spring hits us!

BTW What are you and Pam doing on the computer at such obnoxious early hours!!!!
HI Flying Baby B!! Deep breathes, right??? Your trip is less then a week away!! Yeah for you!

One is 13 who thinks he's going on 23, and the other is 16, and she is aging me at an accelerated rate!

I watch a boy before & after school and his dad drops him off at 6am ::yes:: He comes in, I give him breakfast, he turns on the TV and falls asleep on the couch. At the same time I go upstairs back to bed until 7:30-8am and then get them on the bus around 8:30. You'll be gettng up when your kids start school. I am dreading next year..my DD will start middle school and she has to be on the bus by 7:30 and then high school it'll be 7am :crazy2:

I am not a morning person by any means. My toosh would be in bed until 8:30 every day if it could. Sometimes I don't go to bed until 2-3 am! This week has been good..I've been asleep by 11:30pm!

Hey...have you seen the new Worried smiley?? :worried: :worried: :worried: Cute picture of your little girl.

One is 13 who thinks he's going on 23, and the other is 16, and she is aging me at an accelerated rate!

I have one who's 11 and thinks she's 16 and a 3.5yo who thinks she's 11! I feel your pain...I've aged a few myself! :rotfl2:

OH!!! I forgot...GYMBOREE ....I don't know if you've ever been to an Gymbo Outlet (I have and the prices really aren't that great, at all), but I found out that The Gymboree outlets take from previous popular lines and "remake" the clothes with cheaper materials so they can mark them cheaper. What!!! ::yes:: I am sticking to the store clothes. I never bought anything from the outlet as it was still priced higher than a regular outlet, but I mean you thnk you are still getting the smae quality and you're not! What a rip off. I buy for the quality, the fit, the longevity (except for stains my DD makes), and the cutness factor as does everyone else. Plus they don't do coupons or Gymbucks or anything like that. Just wanted to pass that along to my fellow gymboree fans.

Hi everyone !!! Sorry, I've been missing for a couple of days. I guess the flu-bugs made it over the ocean - I was down and out for the last four days. Ugh. Feeling so much better now. :thumbsup2

Anyways, we leave in two weeks for DL. Let the obsessing begin !!! I've already confirmed our flights, hotel, and car rental. Will probably do it again next week, too. ::yes::

I've started packing - sort of. We still haven't told DS that we're going, so it's been a challenge packing without him seeing. In fact, as part of our charade, I told him last week that I had signed him up for tutoring sessions while he's on spring break -- and let me tell you that did not go over well. Right now he thinks I'm the meanest mom in the world to make him go to school on his vacation. We weren't planning on telling him until the morning we leave - oh boy, it looks like a long two weeks....:rolleyes2

My favorite TV shows... Hmm let's see: Suite Life of Zach and Cody, Phil of the Future, Cory in the House, etc. Oh sorry, looks like I've listed DS's shows - anything on the Disney Channel. In fact, I have to wrestle the remote out of his hands to watch something else. ;) Actually, like many of you, I too love Greys Anatomy. I'm also partial to House, CSI (the original), and Ghost Whisperer. I'm also ashamed to admit that I LOVE Project Runway - can't wait for the next season. :hyper:

Here's another vote for the Hoop Dee Doo Review. We did it last trip, and my DS still talks about it. Haven't done the luau, though...

Happy one-day late Birthday to Sewer, :bday: and welcome kowalchicky and belle2594.:welcome:

Hope everyone else is doing well and busy obsessing/worrying. :worried: (I like the worried smilie, too). Aloha...

Good to see you ahibird! I'm glad you feel better. I wish I could be a fly on the wall when you tell your DS!!! OMG...and the tutoring over spring break touch! Classic!:rotfl2:

Pam...thanks for the Gymboree outlet warning.
Also, I thought I was the only one who had a preschooler who thought they were already a preteen:rotfl: !!

:worried: :worried: :worried: :worried: :worried: :worried: :worried:
Lastly...I am so excited they finally have our smiley! Maybe I should make up al little something to put in all our siggies that represents this thread!
Which smiley should represent our control freak side (if we have it)

Worry wart :worried:
Control freak:hyper:
Spaz in general:crazy:
Any smiley suggestions?????
