Maureen - The only thing that keeps me from buying the clothes is my worrying about money. I don't want to have anything on the credit card that I can't pay for right away. I think I get that from my dad. He always gave me a lecture when he handed out money. I love so many of the clothes I've seen lately. It drives me crazy not buying anything.
That's great that your DD is crawling now. I know it is hard for you, but it is so fun when they achieve something new. I also try to read all the posts. Sometimes I don't have the chance to write back or sometimes I just don't have a lot to say, but I like to see how everyone is doing.

ok an isssue has come up. I know its just obessing but its nagging at me. I have to have the answer to the travel agent before friday so I guess that's what is bugging me.

I cannot come to a definate answer on the day to leave. We have it booked for 4/26(thurs) but DH has to be at work at 5am on 4/28(sat). He will need to be home in bed by 11pm on 4/27(fri). I am thinking of checking out 4/25 instead. This way we are not in a rush to get home. We can take our time driving and spend a night on the road in a hotel instead of driving straight through. Typical response from dh "whatever you plan will be fine. Don't worry about it" SO NOT HELPFUL THANKS ANYWAY!!

I hate the idea of leaving WDW early but we don't have to leave until dinnertime after enjoying the parks for a last time if we check out 4/25(wed). Checking out 4/26 means we need to leave before 12.

So what do you think? :confused3

I did just buy a bag for DH to carry. Its like a fanny pack but it is a triangle shape and sits on your side. Price was right - under $10! ;) http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=39224840&memberId=12500226
I also bought sunglasses for dd(5 on sun) that have a velcro strap. She has light eyes and gets headaches from the sun and she won't be able to take them off easily!

It sounds to me like there isn't much difference overall in time at the world if you either have to leave late on the 25th or early on the 26th. I would vote for late on the 25th and enjoy your trip home without stressing - my DH is in the military, so we always have to leave early - no last minute anything - on time is late:thumbsup2

Sewer - Do you like WL better than the mods? I loved POR and CBR, but I notice a big difference going to the deluxes. Just wondered about comparing the mod to the almost deluxe.

Actually I do like WL better than POR, or CBR. The pool at WL is not as crowded, you can walk from your room through the lobby to the bus stop, there are queen beds in the room, and the lobby is beautiful! :thumbsup2 Although I'm really torn between the Poly also, I think they have better views there, but the cost! :faint: The only negative thing about WL can be the houskeeping. Sharon Hays, the manager guest service operations  made our stay last year great. There was a small problem with housekeeping, but she cleared it up quickly. I still e-mail her with questions, and for help with room locations etc.

JoAnn....I agree with Tammie's advice. I'd leave the 25th and maybe stay the night somewhere along the way. We drive every year from Fredericksburg, VA (you'll pass my exit about 50 miles south of D.C. on I-95) and we always split the trip into 2 days (first day is longest, then the second is "gravy" and no rush. Then my DH has a day before he has to go back to work. Disney is a vacation, but with all that walking it can really tiring too!

Hi, Debbie, Maureen, Tammie, Lisa, Jaclyn, flying baby b, sewer, did I forget anyone?

I've just been busy running errands, housework, dentist, doctor appts. etc. Usually I start to obsess about Disney around around now, but I've been too busy. I have all of my plans laid out and made, so I'm not worrying...yet. I'm so jealous of those going soon! I am soooo ready for my vacation. Instead of 10 days I wish it could be all summer! Sipping mixed drinks by the pool...a personal massuse (or however you spell it), meals prepared for us every night, beautiful flowers, the smell of coconut tanning oil, (Now I have to run out to Yankee Candle for a Coconut Bay candle!!) everyone smiling in a good mood....

Just typing that made me feel better! These 3.5 months better go fast!!!!

Lisa...you'll have to share pictures with us. It's your DD first trip to WDW right? I wish Ic ould see her face when you get to MK... one of my favorite things at WDWis seeing the children's faces when they see the castle or the characters for the first time.

I just completed my reservations this morning! :woohoo: But, reading your post "Sipping mixed drinks by the pool...a personal massuse (or however you spell it), meals prepared for us every night, beautiful flowers, the smell of coconut tanning oil" I want to go NOW  I have the lobby music from WL on my I-Pod, so that will have to do 'till I go home.:sad1:

OK from someone who doesn't have a WDW ticker you guys are just plain cruel!!!!!

J/K I am here for ya! I'll listen......
All kidding aside I do know I will be going to WDW in 2007… I just don't know when yet.

TinkLvr(Maureen) Yeah...I spent way to much on that Gymboree! When I have to redeem my gym bucks I will be going after the gopher/golfing line for DS and the white eyelet spring line for DD. NAUGHTY!

Pbharris(Pam) I always said that if I won the lottery my dream would be to stay in WDW for a whole month! GF of course! Some people say that a week is long enough and they can't wait to get home to their own bed....I don't get those people!!!:confused3 I NEVER feel like that. I have been known to cry on the flight home (and I am not talking about while I was a kid)!

DisneyOhana (Lisa) Good will power! I whine about needing more cash, that I need to get a job, etc. and then I go and drop $150 ish on Spring clothes! DUMB! I am still trying to figure out what to do with all the clothes they have outgrown. Some of them are like new!!! I’ve done the Ebay thing but sometimes it isn’t worth it. Everyone on Ebay is looking for a deal (I’m one of them).

Ahibird (keahi)

SewerCongrats on those ressies!!! I keep meaning to call WDW and just start throwing some dates at them. Have you heard all these rumors about the 40% discount postcard?? Check out this thread...

tea4sanity (Joanne) Your DH sounds like a few of our DHs. We always say that the last thing that we want to hear is "Don't worry about it" because if we could do that then we would!!!!! OBVIOUSLY, we need a little reassurance! Coming from a fellow worrier ..I agree with my pals that you should leave after dinner. Otherwise you will stress TOO much!

FlyingBabyB I thought you forgot about us!! Did you find a place to live? Is everything OK???

Hope I didn't miss anyone!
Hi LURKERS! LURK anytime! We're friendly!

Hi everyone!

Pam, your vacation sounds perfect to me :thumbsup2 It has been snowing every day for a week now, so today, I went tanning, and I've been listening to a Summer "Beach" CD I bought at Hallmark, I have a Gold Canyon Pina Colada candle heating on a hot plate, and of course obsessing about Disney every night on the DIS!::MinnieMo pluto: :donald: :mickeyjum pooh: :dumbo: :goofy:

Sewer, glad you got your ressies! You can now start worrying and planning with us!

Debbie - hurry up and get your ticker! Start obsessing about your ressies with us!:grouphug:

Have a great night!

Pam - I will post pix when we get back. I remember before I had DD when we went to Disney I just loved to see the little ones faces when they watched the parades, went on Peter Pan, and saw the characters. I couldn't wait until I had my own child to take to Disney.
Debbie - I guess you are right about me having good will power. I always thought that it was just that we didn't have the money, but a lot of people don't have money for a lot of things but somehow they spend it. I have to admit that I almost bought a few things not too long ago but instead of going back to get the clothes I bought a cute shirt for DD for vac. at Von Maur.

I worry that Im not going to be able to do everything that I want to on our Christmas trip....I booked my trip 3 weeks ago and Ive already changed the dates twice....And then two days ago I saw the thread for possible MVMCP dates and I tried to fit it in the days that I had but I would have had to give something up....haha and so this morning I called and added another day.....LOL Up to 12 days (Dec 13-25). HAHA Im about ready to break down and just make it an even 2 weeks.

I sure did, but the CM taking my ressie told me unless I have a valid PIN number they will just tack the 40% back on.

Well, I got ALL excited because I called WDW this morning to see if there was a pin attached to our household and there was one under my Dad’s name. So I have her start inputting my info for the week I selected (November) and it kept telling her there was no package available. To make a long phone conversation short, it was a pin for a different promotion!!! Dates were for before June at WL. Oh well! Looks like we will be paying top dollar at DISNEY again! What a rip!

BYW...I was trying to figure out MVMCP dates myself. Where can I look???
Please come back again!

I too loooove to control-especially vacation planning!! I am not a worry wart though. But, I do start typing & printing out my packing lists at least 4 months before a wdw trip. I also keep a container with all out little travel items-these I start picking up way before hand, just a couple here and there, because it does add up if I wait and get them at one time.

I also like to have a pretty good daily schedule. Not rigid-flexible, but I know people who just jump up and plan last minute wdw trips and don't really plan anything and have a blast. All I would have is a headache!!!

I think God just made some people more organize/plan happy- and I am defintely one of them! My dh is not, so we really complement each other.

I plan and he pays the trips!!

Happy Planning!!

Welcome...if you are looking to hang out on a thread...here we are....we are either planning like crazy or worrying about something (not all Disney worries) or some of us plan and still worry, control with no worry, worry, control, spaz out, control with anxiety and whatever...... It's a potpouri of personalities here! we are very FRIENDLY though!
Let's all join in and sing...

I am losing it aren't I!!!!

Sorry, I have been MIA. DS has been sick and driving me insane. I have literally had some sort of appointment everyday this week and have something planned everyday for the next 3 weeks. Somethings gotta give or else I am going to lose my mind.:headache:

At least it has warmed up some and we only have 2 more months till we will be at VWL!!!!! It can not get her quick enough.

Oh and me and dh are having our first date night in over a year tomorrow. :woohoo: I am so excited! Hopefully I can catch up more later after the kids are in bed and after I watch The office!

Where is everybody??????

Hannahsmomma......Hope your DS is better and things calm down for you!:thumbsup2

Any of you love TV like I do? My guilty pleasure is reality TV.
Talk amonst yourselves!

Oh and....

I went to the mall today. I bought way too much at Gymboree last weekend and today I was pretty good. Just got DD her Easter dress at Carson's Goodwill sale.

Hey, question for you guys. After talking to my cousin about her WDW planning she left me confused. She insisted with me that there was a dining plan where you could get just ONE meal a day. I said she was wrong and that there is only one dining plan and that it includes the three meals. Am I wrong? I am never wrong when it comes to Disney. I need to know so I can set her straight! OR ....tell her she was right!

There is a dining plan where you get 1 Table Service meal (can be anyone you choose..B, L, or D) and 1 Counter Service and 1 snack. It's available to us DVC members too. When you are staying at a WDW resort and with a "package" (you know tickets, hotel, yada yada yada, you can upgrade to a Premium Dining Plan where you get all 3 (TS) meals as part of the plan. So you are both right.

Debbie..I wanted to mention that Southwest is having great fares through the end of June. DING fares, that is. I could have flown for $29 each way..but nooo DH wants to drive anyway. :confused3 I'm not a fan of flying, but heck for that amount..it would sure beat listening to the girls fighting for 2 days!
