Good morning ladies!!!!! This time tomorrow I will be heading to collect a nice check for the sale of our house!!!
And ready to spend it again on the summer kitchen outside! But the screen enclosure guy called me yesterday to say that he "goofed" on the quote he gave us. He is also doing the pavers out there and he had noted on the quote that it included a concrete pad under the pavers. We told him we didn't need that, just to do it with a sand base (based on what our contractor recommended to save money) and he told us to take $3K off the price. Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllll........ he said that the quote did NOT include the concrete after all. Nice guy and he is groveling now, and quite frankly we were shocked at how low the quote came in compared to others we had gotten. Our contractor swears by this company so I think I'm going to call him and agree to split the difference, since after all, it is a written quote so I guess I could hold him to it, but I do think it was a mistake, and even if he splits the difference it will still be a great price.
I just posted my first nasty message on the resort boards. Somebody posted that they haven't stayed at a value resort since they were "poor." How rude is that????? I don't consider us poor by any means, but we like our gawdy little (er, actually HUGE) resort out in the middle of nowhere!
I just think it was a little rude to insinuate that people who stay at values are poor. That would equate to Debbie being a bazillionere cause she stays at GF, right? And who knows, maybe Debbie IS a bazillionere!!!! In which case, Debbie, you're my best friend!!!
I will miss y'all this weekend - heading up to stay with the inlaws until Sunday. Then back for all the Memorial Day festivities at our pool. I finally figured out this digital frame and loaded about 200 pics for the inlaws. Of those 200, Ally is in nearly double the pics as both nephews combined. Hey, I can't help it if they didn't utilize the photopass photogs! And since SIL maybe took 20 pics the whole week and didn't share with us..... But I know that MIL and FIL want pics of all the grandkids so I loaded as many as I could. However, I did make sure that the only pics of sil and bil were the group shots!
Seriously, she didn't want to spring for more than $35 on a gift for them so why would I include her in this project???? And I plan to wrap it nicely with a card from Jeff, Kara and Ally ONLY! OK, maybe I won't actually write "only" on the card, but they'll know.......
The photobook should arrive today. I'm soooo excited to see it. When Jeff found out that you could add pages, he said he should have called his sister and told her that we were going to make it like 50-60 pages (20 are included then $1.50 for each additional page) and if she didn't like it she didn't have to be included! You go Jeff! But I never even told him about it so, oh well....
OK, gotta get some work done now..... later!
As for stores, I think it's alot of the same places that discount with the DVC. Did you know DVC gets a $100 discount PER AP ticket?
