Kara - Food & Wine festival is going on; for your first night, why not make a dinner of samples from the various booths? I believe each sample costs anywhere from $2-$4. It could be fun. I know I always wanted to be able to enjoy the samples, but was always conscience of an ADR I had and didn't want to ruin my appetite. You and hubby can stroll hand in hand around your favorite parks, enjoying treats from around the world!

GREAT idea!! Especially if you are dining OOP.
Listen, did I tell you about new friends going to WDW at the same time as us. Well, tomorrow is the big day to help her with her ADRs. I printed the list and if you can believe it there are places I never heard of! I guess we are always so obsessed with our character meals and places like Coral Reef, Japan and CRT that we don't see it all. We are like Kara...we always look for the most bang for our buck! These friends are going to have trouble at this point getting GREAT ADRs but the good thing is they don't know what they are missing since they haven't been in YEARS!

Artist Point
Flying Fish (aside from Kara now talking about it)
Now don't laugh...
I can't even picture where Tony's is or the Plaza Cafe something or other....
Let me think what else.......

Kara I am a big camper. My idea of camping is heading to my parents RV park in Brainerd and staying there. but this is the "tent" we stay in. :rotfl2:

My girls love it. I haven't tent camped in years. DH and I did it when we were first married. We almost got washed away in flash flood/thunderstorm. We couldn't have cared less we were having a great time.

Hope you found a dryer Debbie.

I was shooting for DP last night but I passed out because I was tired from the carnival and cleaning out the pond. I'll catch up tomorrow.....

Now that's a camper!!!! Love it Laura!

HEY...who watches Desperate Housewives?? OMG!:scared1:

Debbie - Artist Point is wonderful, too! Back before the DDP when DH and I honeymooned at Disney, we decided to do TS for lunch and dinner every day cause we figured we'd never be able to afford to do that again (who knew the DDP was coming!). We hit most of the "major" restaurants at that time, FF, Artist Point, Cali Grill, Coral Reef, etc. It was wonderful!

Laura - so funny I know where Brainerd is! And I like that idea of camping way better than a tent! DH is checking out the "trailers" at Fort Wilderness. But I like my TV and hairdryer and mattress!!!!!

Cammie - is the F&W going on Sept 17-20th? I thought it didn't start until right after the free dining?

Don't mention Deparate Housewives - I'm not listening, lalalalalalalala, haven't watched the last 3 episodes on Tivo, lalalalalalalala.

Kara - My bad..... Food & Wine doesn't start until 9/26. Sorry! So are you getting free dining? I'm not understanding why you can't keep your ADR at FF then. If you're still looking for a cheaper restaurant, why not Beaches & Cream. They don't accept ADRs though, but their burgers are excellent. Also good, on the BW, in Big River Grille.

I'm a little disappointed to cancel Artist Point but it's the restaurant that interests Lauren the least and would be the most incovenient one to make. It definitely stays on my list as one to try in the future though!

Debbie - I just recently became aware of Tony's Town Square and The Plaza restaurant. If you're looking at the castle, both are on the right-hand side of Main St. The Plaza is know as an ice cream parlor and casual restaurant - has the yellow & white umbrellas and tables outside. I've always seen those but never realized it was a TS restaurant. Tony's is an Italien restaurant with a Lady & The Tramp theme. I'm anxious to try it.

Yes, I watch Desperate Housewives. First half - good; ending - NOT! It made no sense!:confused3 Kara, catch up so we can discuss it.

I'm home today - Amanda wasn't feeling well yesterday so I've kept her home. I don't take chances with her - the first sign of something being "off" I keep her home and give her a little extra care. And that's another reason why the ex has to pay enough to keep me a SAHM - I need to be able to do that!

Hey everyone. I'm posting again before catching up on the reading. Hope everyone is doing well. Nice day here. This is the last week of DS's Mother's Day Out program. He goes twice a week 9-1. Needless to say, I'm trying to get all done I can this week! i will try to catch up later on... Just wanted to explain my leave of absense! :lmao:

Here is your daily funny from me. DH & I were talking about our upcoming trip. He wants to go THREE nights only! YIKES! I'll definately have to work on that. His grandmother, aunt, and another uncle plus his brother live in Orlando, so YOU KNOW he will want at least a day to visit family. NO SIR! I'm not going for 3 days and spending time visiting. AND he thinks we are going to Sea World during that time too - Is he stupid thinking we can do all that and do WDW?????

I swear DHs don't know what goes into planning a trip and how time consuming it can be.

Kara you have got to get caught up on Desperate Housewives. OMG it surprised me.

I've got to go grocery shopping. I haven't been since before we left. The cupboards are bare. That has to be my least favorite job.

Check in later.

Hi Ladies! I'm back from a wonderful weekend! Even though I worked my butt off, I still felt relaxed and had a great time! We rented a vacation home that backed up to a field and a beautiful veiw of 3 snow capped mountains off the back deck! We had a woodpecker and a squirrel hanging around, and we were feeding deer apples almost right out of our hands!

We went into town - its one of those little historic villages with all kinds of gift shops and crafty shops and little restaurants - so fun! Then we barbequed and gave the girls spa treatments while they lounged with their strawberries and champagne. Watching them relax made us relax! :goodvibes

I was too tired to stay up for the end of Desperate Housewives, so I'll have to watch it online. I also need to catch up on Lost from last week.

Debbie, did you get the dryer?

Renee, you are heavy into planning your next trip!

Laura, so sorry you hate your job - I know how that feels. Where is your TR? I have to read it!

Cammie, thanks for sharing those beautiful stories. I love that T-Shirt! I'm so glad you found someone to make that design! What else did you find? We actually found our shirts at Walmart for $6 or $7. We bought the kind with the Cotton/Spandex mix and a little bit of shape to them. DIL Lindsay bought some long tanks and shirts - she has a really long torso and that's the style she likes.

Kara, loved your TR! CAMPING!!!! I think it would be cool at WDW, but a tent? I guess I'm too picky about my hair and clothes and makeup unless I'm in the woods. I do think those little cabins look nice. I used to think the only way to camp was in a tent, and I was not prissy about anything at all! Then I started wanting a bathroom and a bed (age, I think :) Now we have a really nice 29ft trailer - it's 10 years old, but in mint condition. So I have all the amenities, then i just go outside to enjoy the outdoors. How silly is that?

That totally makes sense. I'm glad they gave the explanation. I'm sure we don't see everything, and there are probably some people who entertained themselves by being "double agents" so to speak on both boards - so we may not have seen everything here. We don't need any mean spirited people here - it's DISNEY!!!!!

Okay, DH is home today, so I'd better get out of bed and spend a little time with him this morning! Have a wonderful day ladies!

We CAN do FF, but it's two TS (yes, we're getting the DDP at a heavily discounted rate with the seasonpass) and we're trying not to go overboard so don't want to pay out of pocket, kwim?

I'm anxious to hear about Tony's! We just noticed the Plaza this trip - directly across the street from Caseys.

I'll try to catch up on Desparate Housewives today. My boss just called and wants me to take some sales calls today since 2 people are out. So I may actually have to work this afternoon! AFTER my hour at the pool! :lmao:

Hi Everyone!

Badookies party went great. Thank You for all of the well wishes I just wanted to post a few pictures for all of my friends.:grouphug:

He was very very tired. No Nap at all that day,but we had a great time.

Tony's was a very yummy place to eat all though the least friendly of our servers and she reminded us of the tip. I had the chicken parm and Mike had the panini of the day.

Debbie- How did the dryer search go?

Kara- What about Raglan road? or WPC? You are kid free so I would take advantage of that.

Renee- Enjoy your day

Laura- I hated my last job too. I couldn't take it anymore. I hope you find something soon.

Badookie is too cute! I love the first birthday pictures with the cake all over. Only if we could do that when we eat. haha.

I will be more positive about work. It is just a job and it doesn't define who I am. I'll just keep saying that over and over until I believe it. ;)

Okay, I'm trying to find that swimsuit ad thats keeps popping up, so I'm posting SWIMWEAR! :rotfl2:

He is just tooooo cute for words! :cloud9: Thanx for the pics!

Swimwear, swimwear, swimwear - did it help? :rotfl2:

ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, RIDICULOUSLY UNACCEPTABLE! And you can tell me your Dis friends said so!

I've got to go grocery shopping. I haven't been since before we left. The cupboards are bare. That has to be my least favorite job.

Now you see, I LOVE going food shopping - as long as it's without kids. When the girls were young and I was still married, that was my alone time every Sunday morning. I'd grab a Starbucks and just s-l-o-w-l-y walk up and down those aisles. I'd be gone for about 2 hours!

Cammie, thanks for sharing those beautiful stories. I love that T-Shirt! I'm so glad you found someone to make that design! What else did you find? Tammie - Your weekend sounded heavenly! Thanks for the tip on the t-shirts; I'll have to check it out. I've got Lauren looking over RumblyTumbly's designs - she's really excited to pick something out! I'll let you know what we come up with.;)

Jillian - I know it's been said but it needs repeating: Badookie is just TOO CUTE! I'm glad the party went well for you!

I hate grocery shopping too. Usually because I have a screaming Badookie who wants everything. Oh well I will have to think about starting to go in the AM so DH can take care of him. A cup of coffee alone now that IS heaven.

I agree 3 days is not a Disney trip. It has to be at least 5 :snooty:

:rotfl:

Tammie looks like your weekend went well. I am glad to hear it.

Well Badookie is now running a fever and napping. So I think I am going to take a quick nap. Mike is on a 24 hour shift so I am by myself until the AM.
