Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too (Part 2)

:OHHHH... My son just called me Lorrie. Off to get him!
SO I get to little man about this - it wasn't so much he was calling me by name - but it was that smart a**y tone. I asked him why he was doing that... Seems Daddy was doing it last night and it seemed to get under my skin. Carlos generally always calls me Babe, except when he is ticked off or I can't hear him. You know, we have a fairly small house, but he insists on yelling for me. I was bathing Mia and didn't hear him so I guess that is what happened. These little ones learn so quickly!:sad2:

I I have been cleaning all morning and also have set up my Itin. for the first 2 days at Disney. I also noticed I have 45 days to make my final payment. :scared1:

By the way have I mentioned I haven't bought airline tickets yet?

Renee- A little birdy told me that A USPS pkg will be arriving next week for you. How is your presentation going?
Oh - cool! I know a little fireman who will be one happy monkey! :goodvibes

As far as the tickets, I'm sure you will find a good deal. It just takes some looking. How exciting to be doing the bulk of your planning. I'm about done with my book - waiting for a good mood night to talk to him. Tonight might be it. He is laughing his butt off at the incident with the necklace. I was too, so it isnt' mean spirited at all. SO... hopefully the mood will hang on and we can do it tonight. I want to add a few more pictures. I'm not putting in the values, but we will talk about them. I think he got a good idea from our last trip about the details.

I have her in bed right now and she's looking at me with these big, bright eyes like she doesn't want to be there. I'm going to let her rest a little though. :
Oh - I HATE that look. And then you feel guilty, but you are right, let her rest. She needs to. Especially with the Codine in the meds. Speaking of - had you recently switched her off that to just Tylenol or decreased her dose? That might have caused the issue too.

Cammie & Laura - well, I knew you gals were good people for a reason! :lmao: I totally eat when stressed. And Cammie - nothing makes me feel like yuck worse than two handfuls of cashews - what is up with that? :confused3

right there with you. Over eating is my way to dealing with stress. il.
Laura - love the pictures. I googled the No Rez. Seems the closest to me is Knoxville - about 4 hours. I wish they were closer. The safest I could come up with is Chem Dry. I really wasn't pleased. There was a white - almost saltish looking film on my baseboards, so I know it had to leave some in my carpet. Maybe I should just do it myself. I had seriously wondered if I could just use a small amount of laundry soap and then go over it again with water. I hate chemicals.

I am hoping my new air filters help a bit too. At least it will in the seasons that we can keep the windows open.

I don't remember who it was, but someone asked about the massage. NOPE. Got shot down. I'm quite use to that by now, so it was no biggy.

I sware my mind is complete mush these days...

Laura - I read your post again, and found I had looked up no rez instead of zero rez, so I googled again. Nothing in our area. However, they sound very similar to ChemDry. (Chem is for Chemistry - not chemical) same idea though. I just thought for what they charged - :confused3. They did say you could absolutely drink the water solvent they used and be fine. Again... :confused3 Looked great for about a week, then it went downhill. Thanks for the suggestion though!

I'm trying to get a few more things printed for my book. Dr's office called me back about my shoulder. Said only suggestion was alternating heat with cold (I hate ice packs) and getting a massage. :rolleyes1 I told her nix that one - no help with the kiddos. She said it should be better by another week! Lovely! I guess ice it is.

Lets see. I've go to go to the grocery, clean my kitchen, clean the floors, dust, set up air filters, clean the playroom, pay bills, clean the bathroom, and take the trash out... oh, and laundry. Have I done any of that...Nooooooo. Know why? Cause I'm on the computer because I don't want to do any of that stuff! Too bad SAHMs don't get vacation days - today would be one for me.

At least we are getting the reminants of Dolly, so I don't have to water the grass tonight.

Cammie – I am glad Amanda’s doing better. Let us know what the dr says. I drink a lot of coffee when I am stressed. So, I am bouncing off the walls!

Laura – Love the pics! I love the little baby rolls on Mia’s legs. My niece is a chunk and so were both of my girls. Darrin and I went thru our hard time when married 7 years (7 yr itch?), saw a therapist, and if we made it thru that, think we can make it thru anything.

Can’t wait to see Tessa in her coat and Wellies at the beach?! I told her about some “spotted dog” dessert we had over here. It was kind of like bread pudding. She told me that over there, it’s called “spotted dick”! I told her that it might offend some people over here!:rotfl2:

Renee – Will you post pics of your book? Shoulder pain is not fun. I have a constant dull pain in my left shoulder, from sitting at the computer all day and bad posture, and my big purse! I love Bio Freeze! It really helps!

I have just checked out the design thread and some of the Photobucket pages. I am so excited about making some things! I got a onsie for my niece that I will start with. I need to put that in line w/the tote bag I am stitching for SIL’s Oct bday, and the blanket I am stitching for niece’s Jan bday! I have to do the onsie quickly because she’ll outgrow it.

I started really getting into looking at stuff for my IL’s 50th anniv in Jan. I think it’s going to be fun! Since I am going to end up doing everything, I may as well have fun w/it and do it the way I want to do it. I will only get input from MIL. Since SIL is not doing much, she does not get much say! :snooty: I know that’s bratty! She brings that out in me!

I am ready to go home!!!

Okay, so my second husband (aka the lawn man) is out cutting the grass. WTH? We had a good hour of flooding downpouring rain. :confused3 I just went out to get up the hose (because I heard his lawnmower fire up - he comes on Thurs but here lately he shows up whenever he wants :rolleyes1 and if stuff isn't picked up he will just run over it with the mower - see JUST LIKE A SECOND HUBBY! :rotfl2: ).

Seriously though, this is a bit too much, the grass is just soaked. You squish when you walk on it! Looks like it could pour at any moment. May be getting time to get a "divorce" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, but is he a hunky lawnman, like on Desperate Housewives? If so, we will excuse him from anything!!!!;)

Renee – Will you post pics of your book? Shoulder pain is not fun.

Pam - thanks for the tip - I might just give that a try. I switched to Aleeve and at least it is masking the discomfort a lot better.

As for the book - I don't mind posting pics of it, but I probably won't. (I got most of it from the Fact Sheets of another site and I don't know if it is a no-no to post it here) But essentially, it is just a 3 ring binder, with a sheet of pictures of the resort (I put about 10 pics I lifted in on a page via Publisher Software) a 1 page summary of each resort and then the printed out fact sheet which covers basically everything. Each resort is seperated by a page protector.

I once referred to that place in a post and got a hand slap from the mod over there. Said no need to refer people to other websites when they could get the "same" info via the DIS. :confused3 I honestly didn't know it was on DIS and meant no harm, but still.

:rotfl2: Anti-hunky lawnman, actually. :rotfl2:

I honestly don't care about the eye candy, I just want my grass cut. The moron is out blowing the grass now. I sware. BLOWING WET GRASS! :confused3 :rolleyes1

This guy has managed to run over a water hose, tore up a playset, countless balls. Now, I understand this stuff CAN happen, but he doesn't care. Doesn't say a word to me - just goes on his merry way.

I think you need to axe him! Not to stir up any trouble or anything, but since you have a lawn man, do you have a housekeeper?:rolleyes1

Don't want to get you in trouble w/the mods or the Dis! I just hope that the book works! Maybe I need to do one to convince DH that we need to be on a better WDW plan than the 2 year one!!!

YEAH, we have a housekeeper. She picks up after everyone, does everything, gets no pay, and no days off :lmao: :rotfl2: OH and my lovely husband won't let her quit either! :rotfl2: I'm just kidding, he really isn't as bad as I gripe about. But he HONESTLY can't fend for himself. I love him, but man - I wonder how he made it in college!

The book will help us. My DH doesn't want to go to WDW PERIOD. Thinks it is a horrilbe idea. I talked him into it, so I'm trying to make it as "ideal" as possible so I, um, I mean the kids can go back! :rotfl2:

Cammie -

How's Amanda?

And where did you say you got the paint brush thingy for Lauren via room service. Wasn't it BC? And lastly - did you get the link to the photo I PMed you? Is that the one that you told me was decieving and we'd want to go up it with him or is that a secondary kiddie pool slide that is smaller?

Hi - I've been negligent in responding to your PMs - sorry. Got them this am; and have just been back and forth with Amanda. And it just took me about an hour to finish one post on my pre-tr!:upsidedow Anyway, Amanda seems fine; I've just been obsessing over her more than usual. I'm not stuffing my face with food anymore; have poured myself a nice glass of wine from a bottle that showed up on my doorstep on Friday.:rolleyes1

I promise to look into those PMs when Amanda's nurse comes tonite at @7pm.

(oh, and yes, the dessert was from room service at the Beach Club. Also had it at The Yachtsman for at the Yacht Club for dinner:

Those white pieces are the choc.puzzle that you put together.

Cammie- Glad to hear Amanda is feeling a bit better. Food Porn is always good.

Renee- We had all of the kids here today so the little pool was emptied and now are lawn looks like we just had a hurricane. :rotfl2:

Okay I can't sleep. DH is out like a like and so are the children and I can't sleep. Of course I have to be up early tomorrow to take the girls to the dentist and all I keep thinking about is I think there's a flea in my bed biting my feet. So here I am on the computer hoping whatever it is bites him so he won't think I'm crazy.

Hiya - ok folks last visit before we go ---- didn't realise we needed translation...:goodvibes

Now - imagine the way an Alaskan crab fisherman would dress.... :lmao:(never thought I'd use those words together in a summer holiday post....) the yellow big hat thing is called a sou'wester (the southwesterly wind brings rain to the UK) the lonnnnnnnng waterproof coat is an oilcloth, and the Wellington boots are galoshes... gives you an indication of our weather expectations for our Orkney trip....

I have been to the beach up there in a vest top ONCE! in 44 years!! You go red from wind burn - not sun, but it beats dermabrasion when the sand is whipped around you by 40 mph winds... hey ho the kids will have fun....

Tessa

Good morning guys!

Amanda did not have a comfortable night; nor is the morning starting off too well. The tylenol w/codeine does the trick for 8 hours; but then she really seems to need the next dose. I spoke to the surgeon last night; said it wouldn't be unusual for her to experience pain 7-10 days post-op. Basically, what the procedure did to her overgrown gums is similiar to third degree burns! The original nerve endings of the tissue were burnt away; now the new ones are starting to sprout. He said he sees kids have some pain issues with this. I'm down to my last dose of Tylenol w/codeine; and we don't see him until tomorrow - think I may be hitting him up for a refill of that stuff. I just wish she could settle and get some rest.:sad2:

Cammie, so sorry to hear Amanda is not doing well! But it's comforting to know that the doc says it's normal. Hopefully she'll be 100% soon!

Well, we went out for dinner last night - Mexican! I love Mexican food but we had to drive a ways cause there's nothing nearby. And I had the WORST margarita ever made! I only drank about 1/4 of it. Then the meal I ordered was the WORST! Not a good dinner.

But afterwards we stopped by Home Depot and I finally got my palm trees that I've wanted for the yard!!! I got two for outside, kind of a different variety, and then a 10' one for inside the screen enclosure! I can hardly wait to get it repotted.

The workers have been here the last two mornings doing some work on the side of the summer kitchen so they can come out tomorrow and finish screening it in. Hallelujah!!! Now no more bugs.... and frogs..... and whatever else I haven't seen in there!!!

Well, someone called in sick today so I'll be busy - may not be on much today...

yummy food p**n :)
Okay, the first time i heard it referred to as this - I was thinking it wasn't just pictures. I was like.... WTH? :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Renee- We had all of the kids here today so the little pool was emptied and now are lawn looks like we just had a hurricane. :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We get those types here a lot too, Jillian! :)What is Badookie up to these days? Showing any preferences to characters?

oilcloth, a
Tessa, hope the trip goes well - honestly, last time I read it, I read "loincloth". :rotfl2: :cool1:

Oh Cammie - third degree burns in her mouth - no wonder she is miserable!

Okay, I'm not trying to butt in here, but is there someone you can call today to see if they can call her in something? If you are down to your last dose - then that means she will have to go without for a bit before your appt tomorrow - right? I don't like the idea of that :sad1: Poor Amanda! I know they always tell you to stay "on top" of the pain or else it gets bad. Would a cool washcloth on her face feel good to her? I know I'm stretching, but when I read your post, man- poor Amanda! :sad1:
