like this set

Her walls are called "Iviting Ivory" but look more like a pale yellow. Then there is white door/crown molding in there too.

Actually, here is a bit of help. She is in a crib - so we will get her a big girl bed at around 3. So this is going to be used maybe a year and a half

I see no reason why you can't use the brown drapes. You could drape some white sheers over them to soften the color a bit? But brown and pink is hugely popular right now!!!

Seriously, have you ever considered doing this home decor thing on the side? Around here, there are some women who charge a "consulting fee" to come in and take a look see and make recommendations. That covers the fee. After that, you can then pay them to go out and do the work for you or just take what they recommend and do it yourself. You should really think about that one.

:confused3 At least it wasn't a BIG RED Regular, not washable, Crayon that he decided to draw a big circle in the living room so everyone could play DUCK DUCK GOOSE, or let's see, a flooded out cabinet bathroom sink because he wanted to let his ducky swim a couple of HOURS! :scared1:

Would it help if I told you it all stopped at 3 1/2?
Don't tell me this is going to continue until 3.5 I think I am ready to explode today!!!!!

Martha - so glad you took her. Good she's on the meds too because now you won't worry all week. :thumbsup2

Okay, so I"m on WalMart. I sware, I'm stupid. Here is my thing - chocolate curtains, white plantation blinds. I think I would like to do pink and white with it.

Would this work? Or will the chocolate curtains clash?

I don't think the chocolate curtain would clash but maybe the ivory and white would not be good?

Renee- I know this site is a bit pricey but maybe you could use it for inspiration if you like the things on it?

They have a ton of Pink and Brown so did Penney's

Kara- Glad to hear Ally is okay

Cammie- How is Amanda?

Mike is driving me crazy today. Luca is having a tough day and Mike has been out golfing I asked him to keep an eye on Luca while I ate and his EYES are on the TV and Luca is beside me pulling Pics out of an old photo album.

Honestly Renee if you saw my house you wouldn't say that!!! :rotfl2: I'm pretty good with colors, but I'm horrible with accessorizing. I usually go overboard or not far enough. I can get an idea in my head, but I just can't bring it to fruition usually. I'll sit and look at a room in my house and have these great ideas, but it never comes out right. And then of course I'm really cheap when it comes to furniture.

Did I ever tell y'all about our color issue in the living room and dining room? I wanted it to be the same shade of tan that is throughout the foyer and family room, but Jeff found this color at HD called "Sandpoint." In my mind it is peach. Yes, peach. I kept telling him that just cause we were in Florida we were not in a retirement community! :rotfl2: He wanted to accessorize it with mint green! :scared1: I mean, holy pastels, right?

But I gave in on the wall color, because he was convinced it was beige. Well, our living room and dining room are sandpoint, aka PEACH!!! Then we painted the drop ceiling under the crown molding a brownish color, and under the chair rail in the dining room. I hate it. Seriously. So much so that I called him at work one day a few months ago just sobbing tht I hated the LR and DR because of that stupid color! I swear.

But our old family room furniture we moved into the LR and it's a dark sage green, with burguny and dark gold accents in the throw pillows. So he wanted to brighten up the room. I went with a silvery sage drapes in there and I seriously hate it!

But I don't want to buy NEW furniture for that room, cause it turns out that Bucky lays on that sofa all the time, and the cushion bottoms and backs of the DR furniture are almost the same colors. The two rooms are just separated by columns so they really have to go together. And I don't know how to recover the chair backs in the DR. If I could figure that out, I'd do it, and go out and buy a vrey inexpensive sofa and armchair for the LR. But I have so many other projects that I just don't want to spend the money on the LR and DR. Even though those are the first rooms you see when you walk in my house.

So I get really frustrated trying to do my own house. Maybe that's why I like working with ideas for other people!!!

Hi guys! Back from the dr. He thinks everything is healing extraordinarily well - very pleased. But she's still in pain; he examined the left side of her mouth, and let's just say - I'm never seen my child move like that - she nearly jumped out of her wheelchair!:scared1: Dr. said that side is still tender and raw; so he's suggested either increasing her dose of Tylenol w/codeine or the frequency that I give up - instead of every 8 hrs., could do every 5-6. It's up to me to figure out what would work best for her; so right now, I've decided to keep the same dose and give it every 5 hours; we'll see how that works.

Anyway, I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell that I'll catch up with these posts I've been missing here; especially since there seems to be alot of decorating chatting going on. I really have nothing to contribute on that topic because I'm a decorating idiot. I'll stop by later. Might try to get another installment of my PreTR done.

The funny thing is you are fuming mad but then when you see the reasoning going on in their head you don't stay mad. Maybe that's why they keep doing stuff.

OK My Mom just said INCOMING texts are free so until I change my plans if anyone feels like venting via the text to me GO FOR IT! Maybe I can still feel like I am in touch even when I am in Wisconsin.

I am going to look into a new plan when I am in town again so I can actually start texting back!!!!!! Plus, any of you can call me too if you want!

Oh Jillian! I hear ya! It's like they are all programed the same and SO........different then we are!

This is ALOT like Elizabeths!!! I love it. But like I said I use this in the summer and the Princess quilt in the winter.

I saw the cutest HSM pink comforter at Walmart and almost bought it! I just am trying to keep the princesses around as long as possible!

I am glad all went well!!!! Thank Goodness for drugs!

Kara...glad DD is OK as well. Yeah for drugs!

Debbie can you email me that contact list again? I am not sure what happened to it. Thank You

Cammie- Glad to hear Amanda is healing well but the poor thing with her pain.

Let's just say I feel for all of you with toddlers, but even at 7 it's not much better. Well, yes it is. It's better because I can definitely give her her independence, but the level of responsibility is just not where I think it should be. I tell her 50 times a day to do the same thing and she just doesn't do it. Sometimes it worries me but I think it's just being a spoiled child. And I know that's my fault.

But I totally went off on her awhile ago. I went up to her room, that she cleaned yesterday, and she had clothes all over the floor!!! Apparently she is all girl and she was trying clothes on today for camp, and she just tossed all the unacceptable clothes on the floor. And I found junk of hers in the guest room so when I asked her to put it away, I found it just tossed in her room. That's the stuff I get to deal with at this age. She just cannot put anything away where it goes. Drives me insane!!! And it's not a far drive!

Cammie, so glad the Dr gave Amanda a good report. I hate that she's still hurting though, and since she can't express it, I'm sure it's really tough for you.

Jillian, how can you get mad at that sweet little Badookie!!!! See? I still love saying Badookie!!! :rotfl:

I just don't think the problems end until they get married. I was gonna say college but I know I was a big problem for my parents still at that age! By then though it's all about money!

Debbie - ITA with trying to keep the princess theme for as long as possible. Right now Ally has a Hannah Montana poster over her bed, a HSM poster behind her door, and 4 sheves with all her bunny collection on it. Jeff's aunt started collecting bunnies for Ally and she has a ton!

OK, get ready - I just took a ton of pics of my house since it's clean right now! You're gonna see what I mean!

Here's my latest in my crisis of the day...

cream, pink and chocolate brown

or

white, pink and chocolate brown

:confused3

okay i have gone back over the last few pages..

Renee-- i'm no help with colors. We've been in the house for 9+ years and I still don't have things hanging in my living room. I just can't committ. I hate putting holes in the walls. It does sound like you have great ideas though

Kara--Totally adorable bedroom for Ally. Love you house. Very cute how Bucky ended up in most of the pictures.

Debbie-- my girls will destroy the house if I am not looking. Katherine's new obessession is the pantry. She loves to eat crackers. I think I am going to have to padalock it. She can get almost all kidproof things open. I want to beat them when they destroy the house but I don't want to have to deal with the authorities. Too much paperwork ;) (I'm just kidding) I am really pushing personal responsibility with a touch of guilt on Beth when she makes messes. I tell her its not fair that you made this mess and I have to help clean it up. I know it will be years of therapy after I'm done raising her but oh well.

Cammie-- Glad to hear Amanada is healing good. Its too bad about the pain.

I am determined to get the laundry done today so I am off for the day. Talk to ya'll soon!

Oh, I didn't know we were posting pix of rooms!

Here's a few shots of Amanda's - she's got a little bit of everything going on in there!
