OK, y'all are killin me! :rotfl2: Her camp is 2.1 miles from our house (yes, in our subdivision! it's a BIG subdivision!), so we're talking 4 miles round trip! See why the golf cart is actually a good investment? I do it twice a day, weather permitting, sometimes 3 times a day if I go to the pool. At twice a day, that's 8.5 miles, and my car gets 20 mpg, so in 5 days I take the cart 42.5 miles AT LEAST, throw on about 3 other trips, so we're talking about 55 miles a week. That's almost 3 gallons of gas at 4.00/gal. I'm saving $12/week!!!!
OOOOOhhh! Sounds like someone else needs a Disney Coffee Can... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So seriously, what about those zipper plastic tops - do you have one of those? THey used them all the time where I use to work - or are you just talking about it pouring? Come on Kara - you won't melt! :rotfl:

My luck I'd get it zipped too tight and suffocate!

I don't mind the rain, the cart is covered. It's the storms and lightning that I won't go out in with the golf cart. It's not the melting that concerns me, it's the frying! :rotfl2:

Kara - okay, pardon my stupidity, but why isn't it just as safe as a car? Aren't the tires "air" as well, so 1-no increased risk of it getting hit vs a car and 2-if it does the tires would make it react just like a car? :confused3

Or, are you just worried that a Lightening bolt will just seek out your noggin? :lmao: :rotfl2:

Anyone else notice the comfort inn add at the top! :rotfl2: Yeah, use that code, I can tell you one nasty dive of a Comfort Inn where you can get Ants for free - and by the hundreds!

The "buffet" was hot dogs in liquid, something that was meat that looked out of a can, greasy soaked french fries. One of those, you walk in - you walk out deals.

It was the Buena Vista one - Gives me the willies just thinking about it!

Jeff says the same thing!!! Now you're siding with him??? I don't know how it's different but it is. Period. Maybe I don't want a lightning bolt seeing out my noggin!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Well, I had to ask. Nope, not siding with Jeff - Just didn't know if that jungle of your had upgrade to Pumas or Lions or some sort of man stalking animal which moved during rain that might pounce you if it saw you in a golf cart. :confused3 :rotfl:

Okay, so been reading about renting points, and I'm just too chicken. I know you could get a better deal, but I seriously think I would have a stroke with worry over that. SERIOUSLY!

Good suggestion CAmmie, just don't think I can do it.

Okay, at the BC - is the view worth it? It looks like $80/night to have a pool or water view (pool, courtyard, lake, Dolphin, Swan, DHS or BW). The standard view is parking lot or roof or wooded area.

And the hotel snob comes out in me.... SO... It appears that you can get turndown service, but I thought Disney only did that for the Conceirge level - but I'm reading it as they will let you do it in all rooms? Sound right? Oh - that is one thing I love....

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yes! It's called the wantmesomegolfcarticus! Vicious! :rotfl2:

Personally, I wouldn't pay for a view. Just ask for a garden view at checkin. But I've heard that SAB views can be noisy.

OK, so I started my "diet" today, right?

Breakfast - cereal w/ skim milk :thumbsup2
Snack - fat free vanilla yogurt :thumbsup2
Lunch - salad with light dressing :thumbsup2 and JC chicken carbonara :thumbsup2
Snack - banana :thumbsup2
Only 780 calories so far.....
Now who in the heck left a supersize Twix bar in the fridge??? And why would anyone make a Twix bar supersize???
So now I'm up to 1220 calories for the day.... :rolleyes1 And here I am trying to stay right at 1200 for the day!!! I was doing so well, too....

Okay - good, cause I have trouble with paying for a view. Don't know why, but that is just a sticky subject. As for me and my dieting, I was doing good today too until I talked to that girl who put me in a tailspin. I bet I ate 3 servings of Cheddar Cheese SunChips that Carlos left by the computer, and two twinkies that Nicolas wagged up here. LOVELY. At least that combination made me very nautious. So, Bet I don't do that again! :thumbsup2

OMG! Do you know how long it's been since I've eaten a Twinkie??? Oh, lustrous sponge cake with creamy white filling. I could eat an entire box in one sitting! I remember seeing an old man (like in his 90's!) on Johnny Carson years ago, who ate a Twinkie every night before bed since he was like 6 years old. I think it's the new Fountain of Youth!

Now I'm hungry. Not really, but I've got the munchies.....

Okay, so organization challenge of the day complete. I uploaded all my photos to our external hard drive. Safe and sound. :thumbsup2 Now all i have to do is disconnect, get up the little one, go to the grocery store, do laundry, cook dinner, go to the cleaners.... ha ha. And somehow men think we sit at home and be Peg Bundy!

Have a good one girls - and Kara, thanks for keeping me company during my task today - you rock! :thumbsup2 And if you take Laura and I up on the trash bag - you MUST post a pic!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Okay, so I am posting this first and then catching up on the new posts - but I did notice I have some amazing pics to look over! YAY!

So we are at swim lessons. Start talking to a mom. She is from FL. They are DVC memebers at a condo that is the Poly's (never heard of that one, but okay). She's never been in May but said that the "SPRING" break crowds are still too large for May to be a good choice - that OCT is the perfect time of year. Here goes the Oct thing again.

This whole paragraph is BS. First of all, DVC members at a Poly condo?:confused3 Doesn't exist and this person has lost all credibility with me!

I haven't read thru any other posts so you may have made up your mind already, but here's my $.02........

You want to go in May - go in May! I've only been once at that time - for Mother's Day - and it was glorious! Oct. is lovely too but like Kara mentioned, it's still hurricane season so the weather can be unpredictable. We were there in '05; hurricane stalled off the coast of NC; it rained alot and we had horrible humidity. I swear, we would sweat standing still! So don't pick Oct. if you think that guarantees perfect weather. The only reason I would choose Oct. over May is if you really wanted to go to MNSSHP; if that doesn't matter then stick with May. (BTW - I've seen it pretty crowded in Oct. during Columbus Day weekend; and around any Jewish holidays - you just never know!)

Kara - In your earlier post that had the word blanked out.......were you trying to type the word bewbs? To get around the stars, I've seen it posted that way!:lmao: (betcha now wondering what threads I've been reading?;) )

Cammie, you frighten me sometimes! :rotfl2:

Just peeping in before i disconnect. Cammie: :worship: :grouphug:  I so love you guys! Yeah, can you tell, for whatever reason, I have my heart set on May - and you are exactly right - the only reason I'd switch to OCT is lighter crowds/better weather, and I'm like you in that the girl is really not high on my scale because I THOUGHT there was no Poly related condos - and for that matter, she said it was off Disney property, and they are generally side by side (man, my knowlege has come a long way since a few months ago! :rotfl2: )

But seriously, I'm sticking with May. I hope I like it! But i'm so excited about May. Works out perfectly. But up next... ME BUGGING THE HECK OUT OF YOU ABOUT ADRS! :rotfl2:
I know the Breakfast in Germany, and the Char meal at BC, Breakfast with stitch, Chef Mickeys - although maybe just the BC one - and Crystal Palace. But that will leave some dinners that I need to plan where Carlos will be happy. Meat at the Poly or Mexican are his favorites, so those might be good choices... Anyothers... let me know.

Okay seriously - Mia's finishing off her twinkie - and then it is off to the store. (kara - hadn't had them in years either. Nicolas wanted them so I gave in since we hardly ever keep sweet stuff at home - as a result, I nastalgically ate two.)

Man, you do need help.......there is no breakfast in Germany! I mean, I'm sure Germans eat breakfast, but not the ones in Epcot!:rotfl:

Renee - are you thinking breakfast at Akershus in Norway? Those crazy Europeans, always getting them confused! :rotfl2:

Also, I think Carlos would love Le Cellier - wonderful!!!! And if y'all want to take the kids one night to whichever kids club they have at BC (since I'm betting that's where you'll be staying!), you could wander over to Flying Fish - to die for!!! Or really anyplace in Epcot that strikes your fancy.

Also, California Grill while the fireworks are going off is great, too.
