Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

i can't imagine how nuts things could be with a tax free holiday. What is exempted from tax that day? We don't have tax on clothes yet....

anyone have the cricut? I found a refurb one for $100. I need to know if it is good deal. I'm contemplating it because as beth gets older we will be doing a lot more presentation type things and having good lettering is important. Can you tell I am procrastinating on my playground presentation? I need a good excuse to buy one especially after buying really expensive windows.

Yes, but good windows will pay for themselves over time!!! Especially in a climate like MN!

Hiya all,

Erin - Happy Birthday!!! (how many years.....?)

Debbie - big hugs...... and crying is fine you know - helps us cope!! Our neighbour's little girl (2 and a half...) just brought over some hay and a brush and food for our Guinea pigs, hers died yesterday, so she wanted it to be used by some lovely little "giddy piggles" - she was fine, I was crying!!!!! Her's was 13 - she (well it was her mummy's) must have cared for it well.....

Kara - I know just what you mean - over here we had a purchase tax reduction of 2.5% or something and we were supposed to kickstart the economy???:confused3 Yeh, sure, folks will go out and buy buy buy with that big reduction!!:rotfl:

I (I repeat I) just fixed my deep freeze!!:woohoo: It was getting annoying - the hinges on a flap had broken, so the flap fell off every time I opened the main door, and a drawer at the bottom had broken, so everything gradually slipped out - but I got on the web and ordered new parts and just fitted them myself..... :woohoo:Spent £20 and saved £300 on a new fridge/freezer - it was getting THAT annoying. So, I figure that means £280 in the holiday fund!!:rolleyes1

Tessa

[Cammie - I will beat up Stella for you. (Just got caught up on Jonas at dinner w/the girls.:rotfl:)

When I first read this, I was thinking "Who the heck is Stella and why is Pam beating her up for me?" :lmao: But NOW I get it! So thanks Pam! The girl is cute though.;)

Just came home from dropping her off for another IV of nutrients and antibiotics. Her glucose levels are in a good place again. We helped her walk in the back yard with a towel sling and she did go peeps & poops on her own so I think thats good. She need to build her strength up again. She is either going to fight this infection & get better or not. I am hoping we will get some more time with her!

I hope she continues to improve Debbie. I'll keep thinking those positive thoughts.

did you see they lost another CM yesterday at Indy Jones. My heart goes out to him and the whole CM family.

Geez - was it the Indy character? So sad! I had also read last week that a CM from the Capt.Jack pirate tutorial died last week. Sounds like it was a CM who played the sidekick - fell, bumped his head and was unconscious. Regained consciousness in the hospital but then took a turn for the worse and then died. It's just weird how there are so many accidents lately.

Lauren's tennis lessons continue this week. Soooo hot! We've just come back home and hang out in the airconditioning. The heat really does a number on Amanda. School starts two weeks from Monday for Lauren. Amanda doesn't go back until the Tues. after Labor Day.

Interviewing a new nurse this afternoon. Hoping she'll take the Saturday nights. I hate doing this though. There's always that "getting to know you" stage where the nurse feels compelled to wake me in the middle of the night because she has a question. It's unavoidable.

And last but certainly not least....................................FOR ERIN

Cammie - I didn't hear about the Capn Jack dude! And we don't know if was the Indy character, just one of the guys from that show. It could have been one of the bad guys?

Good luck with a new nurse!!!

Yup, Ally starts back on Monday! It's Mother's Day! :rotfl2:

:cake: Happy Birthday, Erin!
Hope you are having a fun day!

More hugs, Debbie!

Laura - Our sales tax is 8.25%, but I'm w/ya on avoiding the mobs. It's not worth it! That is why I am hoping we have everything we need (I thought we were there weeks ago...:rolleyes1) when we are done tonight. It's tax free on clothes, shoes, backpacks and much more - school related items.

Tessa - Kudos on fixing the freezer. I love your thought of stashing the savings in the vacation fund! Very cool!

Kara - Mother's Day? Awww.... I am going to miss the 30 daily phone calls I get from Taylor.:lmao: I'm ready for school to start, and I think my girls are ready. I like the routine of the school year. They are staying up way too late (which makes me stay up later), sleeping late, and then there's the phone calls when they bicker, or ask if they can do something. I'm glad they check in, but yikes!

I tried to check out the online dining reservation system, and I have decided that I will be calling instead. I want to know how it works, can't get it to work, had a CM tell me that I couldn't try it out because I am not in my 90-day window. I don't want to try it for the first time on my 90 day mark! I will miss out on my desired slots!

I've got your back! I got majorly made fun of when I told Darrin the girls and I caught up on Jonas yesterday. At least this time I was watching w/them. I hope you have luck w/the new nurse!

happy birthday erin!!!

fun afternoon here. Tornado warnings and sirens. A tornado hit downtown. Kind of funny since it was only 70 degrees. no warning on them either. we're okay but will be a bumpy night.

I just saw that on the news!!! I remember when I was a kid, my dad and I flew to MN to get my uncles' car that he sold to us. So we drove back to Kansas City (I was maybe 8 years old?) and this was before the interstate system and we were chased by tornadoes for a whole afternoon! All the way through southern MN and into IA. I remember we didn't know if we should stop and take cover, or keep moving since we were in front of them. I just remember it being very scary! But I lived through my share of tornadoes in Kansas City!!! Be careful!

Hi Girls,
Just waiting for Chelsea to come home. I am praying I see some progress in her battle against what ever is going on. Thank you ALL for being so nice, considerate, compassionate and attentive to me. I am beyond basket case! Tomorrow she goes back. We did know going into this he would treat her for 3 to 4 days.

Glad you are safe Laura. We are getting hit here too but obviously not as bad.

She does seem better. I hope she is better. I hope we aren't fighting a losing battle. I wish there was a crystal ball that would tell us what the future holds for her.

Another reason I am glad I have you guys it that I am never afraid you guys will say the wrong thing. I haven't put any of this out into the facebook universe because I really don't want to hear what their opinions are on it all. Like I said, I don't worry about you guys but I actually DO worry about the people who are my friends who live by me. I don't want anyone talking like she is already gone KWIM. Maybe Chelsea will pull another miracle out of her bag a tricks! She has ALWAYS been a fighter!

Sorry I've missed out on some of your posts - I've been so busy tying up loose ends with clients and bills, etc. And I have an online class that just got really hairy - of course right before I go. I still need to pack up my office.

Debbie, I got your text - so sorry Chelsea is having such a hard time - hugs to your family. I hope she does better quickly. :grouphug:

Dormouse- Welcome! :cheer2: Wow! What a big group you have to plan for! The more people the more planning you get to do! :goodvibes Tell us about your plans.

Pam, your ADR choices sound fun - Did you get the call made?

Tessa, what a handy woman you are! Good for you - fixing the freezer!

Lauren - how did the jam turn out? I'm glad you're okay after the twisters! Lorrie has a cricut - and Lindsay and Dana both do, also. I've used it a little bit. You can get a new one at Walmart or Michael's for $150 - $175 on sale. They all tell me you want the big one , Expressions- now there is a new one out which I've seen for $130 and it says it does everything the big one does with the small size of the original. I don't think I'd go refurb for $100 when you can get a new one so reasonable now. Also, I found out that the blades get dull pretty quickly and you need to replace them - not expensive - just wondering about refurb blades.

As for the projects - they are amazing - you can see one in Lydia's background of her can she made. And Lydia's banner is an example of what you can do!:thumbsup2 I am a fan, can you tell? I plan to get one soon.

Erin, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BELATED! sorry I missed it.

Cammie, how did the interview go? When she stays, just pretend like you're sleeping so sound you can't hear her, and she'll have to figure it out herself - like, I don't know - a nurse? :rotfl:

Kara, did you ever get the ADR you were trying to change?

Hi Tina! Hi Lorrie! Hi Jillian! Hi Lydia!

I guess I should put this thing away and get to packing, girls. I still have some deliveries to make tomorrow, get gas and money, and pay some bills, get my hair done, sell some football tickets, speak to the house sitter - YIKES!!! I'm getting frazzled!

Good night ladies! I'll check in sometime - if not tomorrow, while we're in Calif. Love to you all - :grouphug:

DEBBIE - Text me what's happening, OKAY?

Hi girls quick fly by things have been so crazy I have been working 16 hour days and have been super busy at work. This heat wave is killing us it is so hard to do our job in this heat.

ERIN- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ERIN HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Hope you are all doing well.

Kara- Love the new car so you! I am sure Miss Ally loves it too.

Laura- Glad you are safe sounds like the girls had fun with their movie.

Debbie- I hope the pup is doing well.

Tammie- feel free to text me anytime I have unlimited.

Hi to everyone else Hello to our Newbie

Back to the daily grind:laundy:

The car is so fun!!!! Last night when Jeff brought it home we ran to Wal-mart, just to take it for a spin. I'm so used to an SUV, that I was FLYING around corners, just cause I could!!! Jeff kept laughing at me. It's very small though, and the trunk is a joke. But for now we're keeping the Rendezvous, too, and I changed the insurance on both cars to below 7500 miles per year to save extra money.

I did score an ADR at the GF Garden View Afternoon Tea for Ally and I in September. I may get her and I hats to wear, as opposed to ears! She would love that! I told her she has to sip her tea with her pinky out. She believed me!!! :rotfl2:

Still trying to get a 1900PF for breakfast either day, and I've got my Garden Grove ressie out on the Sept ADR Trade thread. I hope someone comes through! Plus, I'll continue to call, that's how I landed the Garden View tea ressie!!!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Debbie - how is Chelsea today?
Laura - did you make it through the weather last night???

Jillian! Sorry about the heat - must be hard with what you do. Take care. I need to get unlimited texts - we suddenly text - we didn't really when we got our plan.

Kara, Yay for the Tea Party!:cutie: And I missed your update about the car - what did you get?

HAPPY THURSDAY!!

So I'm back from a very hectic trip to Chicago and glad to be home (Sorry DEB) It was so much cooler in Chicago then it was here - at least 10 degrees. Deb we went to Sullivan's Steakhouse in Lincolnshire - great scallops and huge steaks!

So something I learned on this trip - if there's a lightening storm the grounds workers at the airport will not work. Our flight home was an hour delayed because of lightening and then due to the intensity of the storm all departure flights were delayed - while we sat in the plane for 2 hours. So instead of coming home around 9pm, I didn't get home until 1am this morning. Yes I'm at work :surfweb: drinking as much coffee as I can to get through the day!!

So I see lots of stuff going on so here it is.

Deb - my prayers are with you and your family. Chelsea will know you are there for her and that will give her the push she needs to be strong. Extra hugs and kisses!!:grouphug::grouphug:

Kara - Congrats on the new car! Swing by and we'll go cruising down 95 with the radio blasting like we're high school kids!

Erin - HAPPY BRITHDAY - btw - no one ever ages over 25 - so you keep those other numbers in your back pocket!

Laura - have always wanted to see a real tornado, but would probably mess my pants in fear! Stay safe!

Pam - ADRS what fun!! You're almost there!

Doormouse - CRAZY! I agree with others don't try to 'control' all the plans, but let everyone do their thing and don't get upset. I almost killed my in-laws because they didn't want to go to the ADRs I had planned (1 year in advance based on their ok of the menu). Enjoy the planning! Hey how about some matching iron-on shirts for your group? HMM?:rolleyes1

Tessa - ok I didn't do so good with the diet on this trip, but we did walk around the building once. Way to go on the freezer - Rosie Rivet you are!

Lauren - I so want a Cricut - for sewing - they have an adapter for cutting fabric that would be great. I hope you get a good price.

Cammie - good luck with the new nurse - I hope Amanda likes her.

Jillian - how are you feeling?

Ok I know I missed friends and I'm sorry - honestly I don't think my brain is working very well right now. OMG! Looking at my ticker! :scared1: I only have 6 more days left - I can't believe it! Hey does anyone need some pixie dust sent their way when I'm there? Like a postcard from a princess or anything? PM me! Ok I'm going to log off hopefully I won't fall asleep at my desk! Talk to you later.
