Looking for confirmation - 4th FP+ and tiering...

I read in a recent post on DIS that your 4th FP+ would lock you into a tier (for Epcot and DH). For example, a 4th FP+ for Soarin' means that you cannot get a 5th FP+ for Living with the Land (because it is in a different tier).

I am hoping someone can either confirm or deny this information for me. (Just want to be aware of the "small print" before my trip...)

We just returned home on 5-15 and this was not the case for us. Our 4th FP+ was TT, 5th was Mission Space and on our second Epcot day our 4th was TT, 5th was Maelstrom, 6th was SE.

It only locks you in for that FP+. So, if your 4th FP+ was for LWTL, you couldn't switch it to Soarin*. Once you use it, you can switch tiers for the next one, then again for the next, etc.

* The CM at the kiosk told me that you could cancel that FP+ if you wanted to switch tiers, but you could only do that on the app or at guest services, not the kiosk. I wasn't able to cancel on the app, it kept giving me an error message.
