Looking for advice for accomodations in the Keys

I have gotten a lot of great advice from these boards so I Thought I would try here. Is there anyone who has stayed in the keys, maybe around Marathon, Key Largo or Islamorada? I would sure welcome some tips.

Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada would be my first choice, then perhaps Hawks Cay on Duck Key (near Marathon).

My sister was just looking to get married at the Key Largo Sheraton. She said it was beautiful. It was actually featured on TLC's a wedding story. Well the hotel wasn't, the couple that was getting married were, but thats where they held everything.

It was her #1 choice out of everything she looked at down there.

well since its our other favorite place to take the kids next to WDW & a Disney cruise, I can give you alot of advice. we are partial to the middle keys- Islamorada and Duck Key. when your kids say- mama I want to go back to the keys- you know you are doing something right. Last mother's day we stayed at the Hawk's Cay Resort in Duck Key. it was wonderful- they have so much to do for families- dolphins, salt water lagoon, tiki boats, water area with a pirate ship, great tree house and put put golf. They have a great club for the kids called the Indies Club. Cant say enough great things about it. alot to do and see. we are renting a 2 room Villa for our trip in June. we cant wait.

Wow! the last post could be our family. Our kids wanted to go back and it's a 16 hour drive for us. We love to stop at Sanibel Island on the way down. I agree about Islamorado area, also. You just can't go wrong. The Hilton at Key West is great, too. Next to Disney and a cruise, it's our favorite place.

We stayed at Holiday Isle at Islamorada once, that was fun! There's a nice little beach there, too.
