looking for a sunscreen for my face that won't sting my eyes

I use Lancome - Bienfait Multi-Vital (SPF 30 sunscreen).

I never had any luck with the sunscreens designed for use on the face, it would burn so bad. So, now I just use a moisturizer that has sunscreen. I love it. I have never gotten a sunburn on my face since I have been using it.

Purpose face cream (it comes in 15 and 30) by Johnson & Johnson and usually found only in drug stores. It's expensive and worth every penny. I've used it for years as my face cream, as do my daughters and granddaughter.

I use Dermadoctoer Body Guard 30SPF. Its not greasy and absorbes very quickly.

Another option to consider that should not irritate your eyes is the powder-based sunscreen from Bare Escentuals:

I've used it and been pleased. It doesn't run and it doesn't make my face break out like so many other sunscreens. This is my put-on-and-go run around town or work in the yard sunscreen for my face. If I were going to do a day at Disney or something, I would need something stronger since I am very fair.

My only complaints are that it is hard to see if you have good coverage since it blends into your skin and the container makes it difficult to judge the quantity remaining. It doesn't look like it, but a container lasts a long time.

I buy sunscreens specifically made to go on the face. I find that all the regular sunscreens that are meant to be used on the whole body--will sting my face regardless of what I use.

So far, any brand made for the FACE has worked for me, and I don't recall their names--i've used 3 so far included a baby brand that is a stick as well as "face cream" type zinc oxide formulase for the FACE.

Banana Boat Tear Free (Kids or babies) is the only kind that doesn't burn my eyes. The other baby/kid kinds burn my eyes when they run but the TearFree kind is great!
