Hi All,

Im looking for a special surprise for my husband for our trip in Sept. I've arrange various surprisess before and now I think he's expecting another one and I can't find anything appropriate!!

I've previously booked a tour/wishses cruise/specialised gift basket for the room/shark deep dive and am now running low on ideas.
I've considered another tour/gift basket/wild africa trek but these are all fairly similar to things we've done before.

Can anyone think of something a bit special which is different or new?

Thanks for all help and advice!

Does he like golf? They have PGA quality golf courses on site. What about Cirque De Solie? They have that at DTD. Dine with an Imangineer is something I have always wanted to try.

Really, without knowing his likes or dislikes. I don't know where to go with this.

Fair point - i didnt really include likes/preferences! That was a bit dopey of me.

He does like golf but is fairly new to it, he mentioned the Disney golf courses but said he thought they were a bit of his league at the mo.

We did Cirque at DTD a few years back, was suitably impressed but not inclined to revisit.

He's a big animal fan (particularly birds), water related fun (snorkelling and the like - we did Discovery Cove/Shark Deep Dive), Mickey/pin collecting etc.

I read that in Disneyland there was a specialist watchmaker - wonder if there is something similar at the world? Some kind of really nice collactible.

I think Dine with an Imagineer is a really good idea actually. Ive considered this quite seriously - along with the Key to the World tour.

The Animal Kingdom safari trek looks nice. I've never been on it but would like to book that tour one day. They're taking reservations from now until Sept. 22nd.

Does he like cars and racing? There's the Richard Petty driving experience where he can drive a racecar at race speeds with an instructor in the car with him. My dad did that one year and he loved it. It was such a cool experience.

How about a special cake or desert at dinner one night?

I have been reading (and looking at the pictures) in the Cake Chatter thread up in the dining boards and I have been thinking of getting one of those mini 2 tiered cakes (for 2) for desert one night at dinner.

Its not at splashy...but my husband loves cake so...

Kinda like the cake idea but might be hard to plan as we dont have any dinner reservations (only breakfast and afternoon tea!!). Any idea if I can get one delivered to our room?
Not sure where the cake chatter thread is....

I was thinking the same thing, to have it waiting in the room when we arrived or in the evening sometime, but I am still trying to figure that out.

This is the cake thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2912870 where people are way more knowledgeable than me :)

For DH's birthday in May I got him the Exotic Car experience. It's at the same track as the Richard Petty ones, but it's supercars instead of Nascar. He got the black Lamborghini and was a very very happy man. :thumbsup2
