My sking (especially my legs) are so dry this fall/winter. I use lotion every day after I shower, but I still can't believe how dry my skin can get. The funny thing is, I actually have an oily complexion!

Does anyone know of a good lotion or cream that is non-greasy that I can use. I have a few different kinds but they are all so greasy it drives me crazy.

Any suggestions?

Lac Hydrin. It used to be by perscription but you can ask for it at the counter at the pharmacy now. It is expensive, $12 to $20 but works well.

I like Bath & Body Works but it can tend to get greasy, ick! I love vaseline intensive care advanced healing for my dry legs and curel for my hands. No oily icky grease. I also have oily skin. For my face I use either Mary Kay, Velocity Moisturizer and if I am really dry then Mary Kay Mositurizer Oil Control.

We use Aveeno and Lubriderm for body lotion. And my hands get quite dry in the winter months...I use this, it is awesome:

I have discovered L'Bri products, and their hand and body lotion is amazing. My Creative Memories consultant gave me some at a crop - it's so non-greasy it was safe to handle pictures for scrapbooking after I'd used it!

I have the same problem in the winter. I started using an olive oil soap from Lush which really helps. For my hands I use a lotion called Kamile - it's not greasy and isn't too think. For my legs I use "Touch me and try to leave" cream by Benefit. If it's a really hand day I'll take a really thick cream like Neutrogena or Glysomed and put it on at night with a cotton glove. My hands are nice and smooth by the time I wake up :D

Avon sells one that is an oatmeal lotion. It goes on very moist but sinks right in and doesn't leave you greasy.

Thanks everyone!

BTW - ahutton, I have tried the oatmeal lotion by Avon & do you believe it gave me a rash!!! I must be allergic to something in it.

I like Neutrogena too. It is the only lotion so far that doesn't make me feel like I've put on an extra glove while wearing it.:earboy2:

We use Eucerin here. Works really well for my dry skin. :D

I asked my dermatologist what the best over the counter cream for dry & sensitive skin was & he said Cetaphil.
I really like it....I use the cream & the cleanser

Beleive it or not, sometimes people who have an oily complextion actually have very dry skin, their body is just overcompensating for the major dryness by producing so much oil on the face. Trust me, I found out the hard way. I always had VERY oily skin and treated it as such. Oily skin facial soap, toner, light moisturizer, etc. It never got better and even got worse, and considering the rest of my body was as scaly as an alligator!!! The dermatologist told me that I actually had dry skin on my face, just like the rest of my body, and my face was overcompensating, but the rest of my body wasn't obviously. Once I started treating my face like dry skin, weird I know, the oilyness and shine stopped. I've since been diagnosed has having an allergy to a very common ingredient in most moisturizers and cosmetics, even supposed hypo-allergenic ones. The stories my allergiest has told me about people like myself with hypo-allergenic cosmetics are HILLARIOUS!! Anyway, I digress. What I do know is I use Dove Sensitive Skin soap, and a moisturizer called Vanicream. That's it, nothing else. My skin and face have never looked better. I no longer have scaly skin, and I don't constantly itch and need to apply moisturizer 3 times a day. I only use the moisturizer on my face, I use a regular cream (Body Butter from Basin) for my legs and body, but I don't need it every day. The dermatologist said that my very dry skin was getting more dried out by using a regular soap, and with the switch I've seen a definate difference. You should give it a try.

Usually Aveeno, but if my skin is *super* dry (think lizard skin - ewwwww), then it's Gold Bond in the green bottle. That stuff will keep my skin soft all day :)

That's what I have started using also and I really like it. For years I have tried to find a lotion that I was happy with and this is the first one that I have liked.

We use Nivea during the winter months.

I use the L'occitane shea butter hand cream and it's amazing!! I also use their foot cream - that stuff is awesome after a long day in the parks - I did three days of non-stop running at DLP and my feet felt wonderful the entire time, not even a cramp!

I like the Bath and Body lotions. Since we don't have one here, I stock up on them when we go to Vegas, and my friend sends them to me also.
