Looking for a new everyday dishware set

I have two different Corelle patterns that are both dark blue/navy I mix and match with :) Love them!

I don't microwave in my dishes. I use my Pyrex/Anchor glass, microwavable plasticware or just paper plates.
One could also have some pieces of something like Corelle French White which could be used to put larger amounts of leftovers in. And, would be microwavable.

Anyhow, last time I bought dishes, we picked out a design by Denby.
I am not happy with the quality of the Denby dishes.
Can't recommend Denby at all.

What's the issue with the Denby quality? I've been toying with pulling the trigger on replacing my Mikasa with the Denby I've wanted all along.

I love my Pier 1 dishes.I got them years ago and they've really held up. I also have a few pieces of Corelle that I like.

I've had several sets over the years in various price ranges. But hands down, my favorite is my current all white Corelle. Wash wonderfully. Never hot. Never break. Easy to add pieces. Easy to stack and takes up very little room.

Wow - thanks everyone so much for your recommendations. I will definitely be checking out both Fiesta and Corelle. I love buying made in the USA, so both with both of them that is a huge bonus! :thumbsup2

I have had my Corelle wear for over 30 years. I keep saying I am getting new dishes, but have never found any I like better and now I am getting ready to downsize so I will just keep these.

I have Corelle and a lot of it so we don't run out between dishwasher loads. Love how it stacks so tight compared to stoneware.

It's true what everyone is saying about the Corelle ware - I used to have some and it's 'very' durable - kept my platters and still use them.

My problem is they got very boring with me, but since I have Fiesta ware (many years) I love the way they look and make me feel - have many colors and always mix and match -
as I said up post. I just prefer the 'chunkier' (is that a word ;-) 'stoneware' feel and looks of Fiesta ware.

Feel you won't go wrong with either - definitely a personal opinion! They are both durable.

I have Fiesta ware all the same color tho, I also have the Porto pattern from World Market. I love my World Market pattern and have those out on display but if we are having steak or anything that needs cutting, out comes the Fiesta ware love it's durability.

Never found a Corelle pattern I liked but I did wear out a set of dishes from the Disney Store kept some of the pieces that didn't scratch up too badly.
