Do you think resale prices are going to drop as a result?? It seems that the resale market is slow as well right now. I've watched them for awhile, any other opinions??

What do you think we should do...here is my list..

Positives buying from Disney
Getting Saratoga Springs gives us extra years on contract
Easy financing makes it easier to buy in for less up front $$
No closing Costs
Great price on SS
Definitely get through ROFR

Positives buying resale
Buy smaller package no financing charge
Get OKW which is resort I would prefer
Usually cheaper than through Disney
No monthly payments, and price paid is what price is

Any opinions would be appreciated, still on the fence. Before the price drop we were only going to go resale...Disney has us thinking, I guess that's their point of doing this right

Just thought you'd be interested in an update. We were in process of buying 250 points at SSR. Our contract was at $90 each. Read about the promo on these boards for 15% with referral. Long story short, called and got them to adjust our rate. We are going to be getting new paperwork at the $83.30 rate. Thanks everyone for your help. These boards rock!

You also don't have to do monthly payments through Disney, if you can pay cash or whatever through the resale you can do the same with Disney.

We should be closing on a resale 100 point SSR contract next week, which came out to $83.97 per point (including closing costs), so not too much different then this promo. You'll get into the system faster going through Disney, but if you have the time you can find a good deal on a resale contract too.

i am assuming that a cm discount can be applied to this offer as well? we looked at doing the 100 point add on with the $8 a point discount plus cm discount recently and i just wondered about getting both discounts with this offer as well.

We just bought into SSR this month and our closing is scheduled for mid-November.
