My DH and I are going on a trip in September without the kids and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a restaurant to eat at in world showcase ... this will be our first time eating at one of the TS restaurants there since the kids usually wont eat at most of them.. any suggestions?

I thought our tastiest meal of the week was lunch at Restaurant Akershus (Norway princess meal). It was great tasting food!

The food at Le Cellier was fine. Not "top steak house" outstanding, but good, quality food.

LeCellier would be my first choice. Second choice would be Les Chefs de France. (or Bistro if you aren't on the DP)

Another vote for LeCellier. We will be going to Chefs in August, but have not gone before so can't comment on that. Absolutely LOVE LeCellier. Also like San Angel (Mexico), not really for the food but for the atmosphere.

DH and I had a wonderful meal at Chefs de France.

Le Cellier is good, though has been deteriorating lately IMHO... . I also like Rose and Crown, Chefs de France, and San Angel isn't great food, but is a great experience. Good luck!

Rose and Crown & Chefs de France. Haven't eaten at Bistro, but would like to. Have fun! :)

The Biergarten in Germany is a great place with kids. So is Teppanyaki in Japan. We also like Alfredos in Italy. Unlike most people here we don't like Le Cellier.

I have to agree about Le Cellier going down, unfortunately now it seems like they concentrate on herding you in and out as fast as possible with service falling by the wayside. The lst time we practically had to tackle our server for drink refills and bread. The steaks are also nowhere as tender as they used to be (used to make a big production over it being PRIME beef, now no mention at all of the quality). We have had repeated good meals and service at 9 Dragons in China and I was also very pleased with our lunch at Les Chefs de France. Portions there are huge.

They used to be Canadian beef, but there are import restrictions now due to mad cow. That was several years ago, but that was, in my mind, when the beef went down hill.

If I were eating without the kids, I'd slip out the International Gateway and go to Flying Fish. Great food (as opposed to the good food at most of the WS restaurants). A little more expensive though.

We enjoyed Le Cellier, ate there twice on this trip, however, we had not dined there before this trip. Really enjoy the filet, the beef was very tender, even when DH got his well-done (ugh!) filet, it was very moist and not overdone.

Chefs de France, Rose & Crown & Restaurant Marrakesh are my favorites. Le Cellier was just *okay* for me.

Another vote for Le Cellier. Good luck getting a reservation for September though, it's durring free dining. I'm going the last week in September, and wanted to change dinner times, Le Cellier was booked solid! Wherever you go, I'd book now!

Its still a good steak....years ago it used to be a great steak for relatively little money -

thanks everyone for your input we are going to eat at flying fish when we go to epcot (have gotten a lot of good reviews about that) have made ADR at prime time at MGM and have made one for California Grill at the contemporary Sat night
