to help me with this question -

isn't there a way to make a valance out of a pillowsham? I'm thinking I saw this once on one of HGTV's show or something but I just can't visualize it -
I have valances that I'm not gonna use for pillows so I'd like to use them on the windows - I can't sew at all so its gotta be an easy no sew (though I can use hem tape!)

and I've looked online & can't find anything...

any ideas?

There are several ways you could do this, depending on how wide the window is. If the window is narrow enough that you just need 1 valance, you could just use iron on tape and fold over the top of the sham to fit over the curtain rod and iron the tape to hold it.
Or you could put a little slit in the back of the hem of the valence.
