Looking for a beach vacation

Our family would like a beach vacation almost any week this summer. There is nothing available at HHI. Yes, I know I should have been on the phone sooner. We are not too keen on going all the way to Vero, so I haven't even checked availability there.

Can anyone suggest a nice place to try to exchange to along the Atlantic coast? One or two bedroom We've gotten used to having a kitchen, so a regular hotel room just doesn't make it any more.

Anywhere on the beach, no farther south than HHI would be great. We want to use points, not cash. Am I too late?
Do you think I should just forget the whole idea?

Not sure about where else to stay on the beach-but there was someone posting on the rent/trade boards about a reservation at HH for a week in mid July in a 1 BR for 165 points @ $10 per point. That's a pretty good deal, IMHO. What if you rented out your available points on the Dis Rent/Trade Board and used the cash to pay for your HH Reservation? HH in July is great.

We traded to the Marriott on Singer Island and we LOVED it - it was very very relaxing - the kids had a TERRIFIC time! Beautiful 2 bedroom right on the beach - lots of children's activities, beautiful pool - you can't go wrong. You fly into West Palm Beach and it's about 20 minute or so drive from there as I recall - sorry just saw the part about no further south than HHI - I still recommend this anyway if you can get past the no further south issue!

If you would like to trade points, Sea Crest in North Myrtle Beach is really nice and in a great location. I've not stayed in there, they are fairly new, but we do vacation in North Myrtle Beach nearly every year and I think the beaches are unsurpassed.

I am a member of Interval since I own another timeshare and I purchased a getaway week through Interval for a 1 bedroom at Villas on the Boardwalk in Virginia Beach that sleeps 4 for the week of 7/15/05 - 7/22/05 but I am not sure I can go since I am going to Disney in May.
