I will be looking at colleges for Masters programs in Communication Disorders this summer. My question is this -- would it be inappropriate for a parent to come with me? When we looked at universities for my undergrad degree, of course they came along but I'm just not sure if it is appropriate when looking at a grad school.

Not at all! It's good to have someone else there with you, because they can remind you of questions you wanted to ask, or bring up things you might not have thought about. As long as the school doesn't have a problem with "extra" people going along (and this is usually only if it's a guided tour with a group and they have limited space), then no, it's not inappropriate for them to be there, as long as they don't try to take over the whole trip (they should be more "viewer" than "participant").
