I don't know if this has been posted yet, sorry if its a duplicate. Friends called us on Nov 16 (Stitch's opening day) and told us we just had to get over to the Magic Kingdom to see what happened to the castle when Stitch was let loose. BTW, it was all cleaned up the next morning.

We saw the crane on top the castle the night before and wondered what they were doing! That was a day we went to Epcot instead of MK. It is amazing, the next day you would never have known it was there, they took it all down and it was once again spotless!

Considering how windy it was last week I can't believe they got it to stay put.

Great picture!

We were there that day (11/16) and there were wanted posters all over the Magic Kingdom looking for Stitch. Also, on the left side of the castle it looked like he had painted STITCH IS KING and there was a picture of him with a crown on. Very cute...our family loves Stitch. :)

I'll let it go for just the one day and the debut of Stitch, but ...THEY SHOULD NOT DEFACE THE CASTLE:mad: Sheesh, didn't they learn with the birthday cake debacle?

The only castle pictures I got were toilet-papered pics. I was a little upset about that, but I'll get over it. ;) I took other pics of the castle (at night later in the week), but they didn't come out since I had to use a disposable camera (long story). Oh, well.

No kidding didn't they learn with the birthday cake mess...

Disney..quit messing with the castle..ugh!!!!!

I was there that day as well and thought it was cute! But I guess I can see how some people might not have liked the castle being "defaced". But I think that's why they only had it up for that one day - had it been up longer than that I may have found it to be over the top as well. IMO, I really found that to be part of the Disney magic that I always go back for...It was unexpected and a fun way to kick off the opening of the new ride.

That's a "stitch" MNSusan (no pun intended -- okay, maybe there was...a bad one, nonetheless!).

We're heading down on Saturday - Stitch was the best character they met on our last visit - my 5 year old DD still talks about Stitch tickling her neck while I was trying to take her picture. A definite Disney memorable moment.

Thanks for sharing!
